They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The first room was dirty so they gave us another room it was smell the cigarette smoke so they gave us another room and that was a go.

Hotel staff is very nice and outgoing. Hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants (I prefer to walk). Hotel was quiet and I slept well.

I have stayed at this hotel several times the last couple years. The hotel is old and is really in need of a complete renovation to keep up with the higher end hotels. Rooms are comfortable, clean and serve their purpose for a nights stay. The staff has always been very friendly and the small breakfast always has something to cover me. OJ, coffee, and toast.

My overall stay was ok, but the staff was so unfriendly. Everyone seemed mad or something. No one said good Morning or acted like they wanted to be there.

excellent place to stay close to shopping food n the beach

ok but I didn't like the one of the front desk receptionist. needs customer service training.

I would give this a solid 2.5 if I could. The good - lots of pillows, good shower, nice flat screen tv mounted on the wall, microwave and fridge in each room. The bad - stained sheets (laundered, but old stains on there), a/c unit had grafitti on it, ceiling tile throughout the hotel was kind of scary. When I checked in, the staff person (after taking a long time to even acknowledge me standing there) told me very strongly that overnight visitors were not allowed. Ummm, I didn't appreciate the insinuation. And I don't come close to looking the part. Can't comment on the breakfast, as I didn't go, but it looked like a decent sized continental breakfast. Can't complain about the price, but you'll see why it is priced the way it is.

The staff was great... It was very clean and they were very accommodating. I would definitely stay again

This was a decent hotel. I needed ice and the ice machine was broken on my floor so I went up to the 3rd floor. The staff were friendly when I needed extra towels. They needed more washing machines available for the guests to do there own laundry. Overall, I would stay there again.

While this hotel is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants, it is outdated and really quite dirty. I found the bed to be the most uncomfortable that I have ever had to sleep in, the heating system to be either too hot or too cold, the carpet in the room was dirty and unkempt with visible accumulated dirt in the corners of the bathroom and the sleeping area. Will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Improve the breakfast. specially the juice. put more options. like beagles, egg.

satisfactory room amenities, great complimentary breakfast..

Wonderful Staff, from Front Desk to Room /services.. Everyone so friendly, bhelpful and patient. I can hardly wait to come back to Newport News VA and visit my Family again and stay here at this Days Inn!!!

This is top notch value for the price paid. will recommend to friends.

Booked the room last minute on-line. Rate was great and the booking was easy. Arrived 5 minutes later to find friendly staff and a typical room. Room smelled a little damp but for what I paid I found it to be more than acceptable. As I was packing the next morning I found a bedbug in the sheets. Not a happy camper and should have checked thoroughly when I checked in. Now I'm having to deal with everything that was in the room with me and potentially an infested car. If you stay here you need to very carefully inspect the room and leave as much of your stuff as you can in the car.

best value for my money. I will recommend to a friend. The breakfast continental dishes was refreshing

My room was perfectly adequate and clean. I was disappointed to find the pool was out of operation ( due to maintenance). I needed to check in early and got varying information from staff.. But overall they were helpful and I did check in early without penalty. The location is excellent. Only 3-4 miles from the airport and a 5 min walk from City Center retail, restaurants, services etc. A 2 min walk from a French Bistro, although I did not eat there. The breakfast was good for me; they had oatmeal, toast etc. None of those wrapped awful pastries I've had at other budget hotels. Would recommend it.

We just stayed here for a night after being at busch gardens! It was nice and clean! Nothing fancy but nice! The bed was super comfortable! The staff was great!

We're a big group and Shirley was so nice accommodating us.

Amenities are wanting otherwise you get good service and comfortable accommodation for a very good price!
