Lacks personal touch ,those little details that make my monthly business trips more delightfull. Does not value frequent quest in special needs or requests. This sums it up. After being monthly quest for one year always something was not quite right.

Plenty of parking, a loan closet with everything from books to kitchen needs, dog friendly, clean, quiet and reasonably priced. We only stayed one night, but this would be a great place for an extended stay. The room had a kitchenette, separate bedroom, nice sized bathroom and a recliner. The location is out of the way, but easy to get to main roads and I-64 to get around. I would recommend this hotel if you need a clean, dog friendly hotel in this area. Plenty of nice grass area around for walking the dog as well.

My husband and I stayed here recently while I took part in a Relay for Life event. What I can say is that the room was clean, there was more than enough space, and the staff was ok- not overly friendly, but efficient. I liked the big wipe off board they had in the lobby with the weather , dates, quotes- that was a nice touch. They had a little pantry on the first floor with snacks to buy, etc. The area was fine- shops, the movies, restaurants nearby. All in all, if you want to see stuff in Hampton, you will drive- but for my purposes- going to the park for the race, it suited.

It is. At least the first floor is. You really should have an under renovation disclaimer. Not worth the money, IMO. The front desk staff should retrieve the luggage carts instead of surfing the web. The smell of cleaner in this room could knock a buzzard off a crap wagon. As a Sprire, I'm pretty appalled.

Stayed for 2 nights to attend an event in Hampton. First time staying at a Candlewood Suites. Saw our names on a live feed menu board upon check-in as Spire Elite IHG members, which was inviting. Desk clerk was professional. We weren't able to get the upgrade as we'd hoped but, they gave us a great room. Suite was a bit smaller than we're used to but, nicely remodeled and felt very comfortable. Adequate parking and hotel was quiet, which was very nice. Pantry was pitiful for snack options, but amazing that it was set up on the honor system for payment. I also think it's great they allow pets though we didn't have ours. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again and recommend to others as well!

We just stayed four nights at this hotel and will stay there again in July. The only negative I can say is that it could use a little sprucing up with a fresh coat of paint. The room was nicely laid out and very clean. The shower was amazing! I slept very well on the bed and wanted to bring it home with me.

The staff and property were excellent. The EV charging stations made it convenient to charge my Tesla every night. I had to use my CHAdeMO adapter to use t but worked well. We had our dog and he was accommodated with a smile. If they are a service dog, there is no additional charge.

This place has been wonderful! Friendly staff. Great price. Big room with kitchenette- full-size refrigerator with small stove, dishes, pans, microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher. Large closest and bathroom. We are only staying a few days but could definitely manage staying longer. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. It's in a quiet neighborhood. The laundry room is free to use the machines, and there are several. Decent exercise room too. The laundry room has a fully stocked snack area that is on the honor system, take what you want and fill out the paper with the price and your room number for charges. Literally the only complaint I have is that the front door doesn't open automatically and the wobbly luggage cart was difficult to maneuver.

We got this hotel with a Priceline Express Deal, so we didn't know what we had before we paid. We COULD see that it had great reviews and more importantly AVAILABILITY as we were coming in town during a major convention and there were very few rooms available in town. I called them once we found out which hotel we got and there was some confusion as to whether or not they would have room for us, but we finally got it straightened out. We were told that they only had a studio available and there were 3 of us (my wife, daughter and I) and no roll-out bed left. We'd just have to make the best of it. When we arrived, we thought the hotel was in a nice area and were met with a pleasant young lady at the desk who explained that it was a pet friendly, party-free hotel. I asked again for a roll-out bed, but they were booked. We again assumed we'd figure it out. The room itself was much nicer than expected - very clean,a full kitchen, nice large desk, decent flatscreen TV in the corner and firm Queen bed. The bathroom looked pretty modern and nicely appointed. We then received a call from the front desk that a roll-out bed WAS available. The pleasant young lady brought it up immediately with fresh linens. She then checked on us AGAIN later just to see how we were doing. She was awesome. We slept comfortably, and the next morning got to try out the shower. NOW THAT'S a shower! I HATE mealy-mouthed, weak-kneed showers and this one DELIVERED. I felt like a new man! I want to commend the Candlewood on a job well done and a hotel well kept and staffed. I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

Candlewood amenities are pretty terrific for a very affordable price. This property was tucked away in a business park and looked more like an apartment building. Very nice location. The front entrance was a bit difficult to maneuver with the luggage cart because it did not have sliding doors. The room was great, but as this was a 100% nonsmoking hotel, we encountered the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways MULTIPLE times and reported it to the front desk. Laundry facilities were good. They have a small appliance lending library where you can pick up a toaster oven, etc. Very handy as the rooms do not have regular ovens, only microwaves. Rooms do have large refrigerators, glass cooktop, full size dishwashers, dishes, cookware, etc. Be prepared for very noisy aircraft around 9AM daily, as this hotel isn't far from military bases.
