I couldn't stay so I left and found another hotel.

Basic Travelodge experience. Clean, comfortable, no frills motel. Had small, but clean pool. Felt wonderful after spending day at the red seaweed beach in newport.

I loved the mini fridge and microwave in the room. The room was nice and large, plenty of room for me, my friend and my baby and all baby's things. We enjoyed chilling by the pool. I was kind of frustrated that I could never get the Internet to work. There are also two floors and no elevator---which was fine but if that will be a problem for you maybe call ahead and get a room on the first floor

During check-in I asked for a newer renovated room. When I got to the room it was not one of the remodeled ones. The front desk clerk was very friendly and gave us a list of the open room numbers. The maintenance man was very helpful and kind. He walked with the children and I to each room for us to see. We picked the room we liked the best that accommodated all of our sleeping arrangements. (There were many rooms that were not remodeled and didn't smell so good) The children were very excited and pleased with their choice. It was nice he took the time out to do that for us. We had a few days were our room cards kept deactivating. But the front desk never gave us a problem. Breakfast was good. Nothing too big but there were many options to choose from. (Muffins, danishes, cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, waffles, toast, english muffins and bagels.) Large bathroom and the shower was nice. (Good pressure, was always hot even after all 5 of us took showers!) Housekeeping was also friendly. They never had a problem with the children bugging them for more towels each day. The pool was a plus. It was clean and the water was warm which was nice during the cooler nights. It was open late which the children enjoyed. The only real concern I had were the stairs on the outside of the building. They really need to be renovated. I was nervous some of the time while climbing up them. The wood is rotting and some stairs are uneven. Other then that we really enjoyed our stay. We felt at home.

The key's given to me and another guest would not open our doors, so the night manager had to use the master key. I was unable to leave my room until the next morning's manager came on. Also, I was told the guest laundry on site is "seasonal." The owner doesn't open the laundry room until Memorial Day. WOW! The manager did give me a 10% discount, thank you.

Really enjoy staying here. Clean. Close to Newport. Staff nice.

The rooms were so fancy and pretty it was amazing only down fall was you could hear everything threw the walls

Pros: clean room and bath, fresh linens and towels, comfortable bed, Cons: unattractive entrance and reception office, unreliable wifi hard to connect device to server and would continuously shut down noisy with unidentifiable sounds ( awakened me several times during the night) bright outside lighting illuminated room even with curtains pulled water temperature in shower suddenly changed several times during a five minute shower breakfast, nothing memorable,

I think all hotels should go with what motel 6 is going to with hard wood floors it takes the stench out of the rugs . room was clean but had that hotel musty smell

The staff was great! Helpful, caring individuals. They got the Wifi up and running when it failed. They were pleasant. I was not pleased with the dampness of my room. Not sure if it was because of the room darkening shades so necessary for the glaring car lot shining into the window throughout the night that the room did not receive healthy, outdoor air. Floor seemed damp, sheets seemed damp. Perhaps the air conditioner needs to be changed. Wifi was spotty, especially on busy nights. Increasing my Room Comfort rating to a 3 because there was a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in the room. Be careful of the refrigerator freezing your items.

Manager was very nice and remembered us from a past trip and upgraded our room!!! And once again delicious waffles at breakfast!

Awesome! We had a swimming pool. Also The staff really is friendly!

My boyfriend and I stayed here over night while visiting Newport. Under ten minute drive to the beach and many food and shopping places surround travelodge. Pulling out of the parking lot is hard because it's so busy. Our room smelled musty but the bed and sheets were cleaned. Nice flat screen tv. Water in the shower was very hot. Wifi was a bit slow. We had a microwave and fridge in our room. There were smoothed spiders on the wall. Overall if you're looking for somewhere just so sleep, this is great. I paid $120 for one night during peak season. They also had free breakfast but we didn't take advantage of it. The staff was very friendly and let me back into my room after check out time to grab some stuff I had forgotten.

Traveling to Newport for a wedding and when you're in the wedding things add up pretty quickly. This was one of the hotels that had a good review and was reasonably priced. The hotel was in a convenient location--right across from grocery shopping, etc. It was also a easy commute to the different venues throughout newport that we attended that weekend. Comfortable beds at a reasonable price.

The room was clean, as expected. We were in town for the boat show, and the commute to downtown Newport was easy. Good option to save money over downtown Newport, RI.

It was a great weekend family autum getaway .The weather was great the hotel was excellent .Room were furnished upto date clean flat screen t.v. cable with Disney channel for kids.also Hbo & moive channels ,room had microwave & fridge also a safe to secure your personal belongings. Staff was very friendly ,warm,& caring .Close to all local sighs into town & local dinning just minutes away They even serve a complimentare breakfast every morining waffles,Danish ,coffee,ect..My family & I had a geat time staying a the Travel Lodge it made are weekend memorable I will never forget how great there staff is how kind ,friendly, helpful ,sweet, polite,& nice they were to us & all there guest staying there

Totally renovated, spacious, clean, Good breakfast. Great for the price

There's nothing special about this hotel, the room was average, it had a slight musty smell. the towels were cheap, a decent pool.

The room was clean and a good size. The employee that checked us in was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious, especially the waffles from the waffle maker! The pool was clean.

Great little pool at the hotel. About a 10-15 minute drive to Second Beach! Can't wait to come back next spring!
