Returning after a few years saw Noah’s as a modern efficiently run hotel. The views from many rooms are great - Harbour views to the North and Sea/beach views to the south. The restaurant provided great meals, and staff helped with our meeting. The breakfasts were standard hotel fair- order espresso coffee (extra fee) if you don’t like the machine coffee. Dinner was pricey but worth it. I had seafood chowder- worth ordering again. Cheese plate was good and so was my fish special on a second night. Good points *Location *Views (most rooms) Bad points * steps to reception (not needed if accessing from car park) * aging lifts are a bit slow. Reason to return * great views, quick walk to CBD and beaches * reasonable price * expresso coffee at bar.
Stayed one night in a ocean front two bed room including breakfast, I've stayed in Newcastle before but never here and I must say I'll be back again in the same place. Great views great service from the staff great breakfast, a clean and very neat room...a much delightful one night stay...well done.
Aside from the alterations to the roads because of preparations for the Newcastle 500, this place is pretty easy to find, although the parking is insanely tight. They do have an open carpark next door, so if you have anything bigger than a small SUV then go straight for that. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and seemed keen to sell a prepaid breakfast for $20pp (normally $28). The breakfast was ok but you can tell some of the items in the buffet had been sitting for quite a while so get up early if you want fresh breakfast. I also received a complimentary drink voucher for being a Quality program member, but wasn't allowed to get a nice beer, even offering to pay the difference. I took the voucher back to the reception and they said they would inform the manager, but never received a follow-up. Very disappointed. The rooms are fairly basic but quite clean. The view on the ocean side was pretty impressive, but the view from the harbour side when catching the lift was good as well - from the upper floors at least. Not convinced I'll stay here again, mainly due to how long it takes to get out of the Newcastle CBD.
Found the reception very friendly an the room comfy. Bed was clean an firm an the ocean view worth the xtra. Unfort parking is an issue. Underground is good if you drive a moped. Any norm car would not sit side by side with room for the driver to get out. Additional parking is vacant lot next door but if you go out during day it full by time you return. That part is not good value to drive around an find a spot away from the hotel.
Booked online for two nights. Hotel contacted us about check-in times and were very helpful when we were delayed. Staff are very well trained and polite and helpful. Our room was well appointed but a little overcrowded with furniture. Our balcony looked over the carpark, so pay the extra for the beach view - its worth it! We ate in the bar and had a good meal, generous portions and well priced. Great breakfast buffet. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would happily recommend this hotel.
Clean, friendly and well priced. This hotel is not pretending to be anything it’s not. Perfectly located very close to the beach and cafes. The food in the restaurants was well priced and delicious. The decor was slightly tired however in keeping with the beach feel. We would stay here again. Staff were excellent and very friendly.
Basic room very clean, ocean views, watch the trip hazard at the door to the balcony. Close to the baths, beach, restaurant. Reception team was really nice. Comfortable bed. Undercover parking. Good area for jogging or walking.
We enjoyed a lovely night at Noah's watching the water and able to get up early and watch the surfers and the boats, was disappointed with all the road closures and felt for the small business,s that would have to be affected with no revenue coming in
Stayed here for a night while in newcastle last week The view on a mid to high beach view is pretty good - even on a stormy evening The room was pretty dated but comfortable - in fact used to stay there more than 10 years ago and it didn't look like it had changed much Staff were nice Was pricey at $240 a night but your paying for the view
Our family of four stayed a single night in this hotel. After having read some of the reviews here, I wasn't expecting too much. I was pleasantly surprised though. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The location of the hotel was very good. We enjoyed our stay here, and would book this hotel again if visiting Newcastle.
