Hotel room was damp and musty smelling. Yuck. Staff friendly. Internet connection process is a mes . Here for business. Won't stay again. If you book through a third party you get the crummiest rooms. Price savings wasn't worth i .

Had my initial fears based on online reviews but it was a great experience

didn like nothing the room was not as expected its not very clean

Paid extra for deluxe room no deluxe features apparent in small , ordinary room on 9th floor of 33 floor hotel. Poor lighting, sleeping area too dark to find things. Property in process of conversion to time share. Staff excellent.

First time to New York. Loved the hotel. Great location. Staff was friendly, awesome, and helpful. They even stored our luggage at no cost on our last day because check out time is in the morning, but our flight didn't leave till the evening.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Wyndham 45. Basically, you get what you pay for. The easy access to Grand Central Station was the best part. You need to understand that this hotel also acts as a resort for Wyndham Timeshares, so you will see timeshare people. The staff are very nice and accommodating. Upon arrival, our room was very basic. The sheets were dirty so we went to the pub next door while they had housekeeping clean again. This was the last time that housekeeping came into our room for 3 days. Free wifi was nice. We are pretty easy going travelers so we don't require much. Just know that if you don't check-out by 10am, they charge $100 PER HOUR past that.

The hotel was actually built as an upscale condo building and subsequently became the Wyndham. Everything was very well adorned and lux with ultra nice appliances and bathroom fixtures. Service was good, though check-in did take a few minutes. The location, style and appointments were excellent and would be happy to stay again and again.

Nice staff but hotel is old and needs updating. The furniture is probably over 30 years old!

Great location, 3 blocks from my friend's place on 48th St. Great location for restaurants, shops, with a down home New York City touch.

The Wyndham midtown was a great central location for enjoying so much of what the City has to offer in early summer. My girlfriend and I loved the interior of the hotel and the cozy bar/lounge. It was a great place to retreat after a busy day of enjoying the City.

Location was not so good and modern style furniture was dated, chipped and made you feel in an old room. Not overpriced for Manhattan, but not a good deal either.

hotel is located right near grand central station. convenient and nice staff. reasonably priced but i guess that depends on when you book.

The location was great the hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The hotel is old and somewhat under construction. I would call to see if the improvements where made and then I would return. The diner across the street was wonderful for breakfeast.

We checked in late and the staff was having trouble with the computer system. We were not greeted for 10 minutes, the one lady just ignored us, clearly flustered. Another woman came and helped us and she was very helpful and pleasant, we interacted with her multiple times and she along with a door man were very nice. Room had a view of the Empire State Building which was nice. Things we did not like: there was no fitted sheet on the bed just a top sheet covering the mattress-really grossed me out thinking there might be bed bugs or something. Couches had a really low back, very uncomfortable and looked very worn. Microwave did not work. Good location, about a 10-15 min walk to Times Square, and downtown. Would not stay again.

Excellent experience. Friendly helpful staff. Clean room. Will return.

Room was big for NYC standards but not functional. We had a handicap accessible room so not sure if it was bigger than average. There was only one large towel in the room and when we asked for more they brought three more large ones but no face or hand towels. There was no iron in the room. We had to ask twice to get one. Also no coffee machine in room which for us is important. The worst part was the bottom sheet in the bed which only covered 2/3 of the mattress leaving a large part of it uncovered. There were also stains on the couch and other cushions in the room. On the plus side there was a tv in the bathroom which was nice.

Good size room for NYC! Very clean rooms with a friendly staff! Good location was ideal, able to walk to everything we wanted to do.

After living in NYC for 17 years I now live in Colorado and travel at least one week per month back to NYC. While the location is not my favorite, the size of the rooms, the full kitchen, the separate living area from the bedroom and the reasonable price makes this hotel high on my list.

Easy access. Great service. Quiet rooms. They were a little small but it's nyc.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. Upon arrival, my room wasn't 100% cleaned properly (food in fridge, old key card, empty ginger ale bottle), but that's not the kind of stuff that bothers me. The staff was great and helpful. Location is in a great spot near the grand central station and the 1 bedroom suite is very spacious. Some of the phones in the room weren't attached or work. You can still tell that the hotel is renovating to be a full time timeshare and is just operating to fill its vacancy
