I have stayed in NYC before and always would hear sirens, horns and other sounds of the city. I was on the fourth floor and expected the same. When I turned off the TV I was pleasantly surprised with the quiet! Hotel staff was very courteous, room was clean and the lobby was the place to be! Will definitely be back on business and will choose this hotel again.

Location and accommodation 5 star. Very clean. Free coffe, tea and water

Room size was small but not cramped, this is to be expected in hotels in bigger cities like NYC, San Francisco, and Chicago (my home). Clean accommodations, friendly staff, about a $30 uber ride to or from Laguardia, close to Grand Central and The Chrysler Building. Free Water Bottles and Coffee in the lobby. Free business center if you're needing to work or print boarding passes. Plenty of food options close by, but also an easy trek to other neighborhoods by subway or cab. There's so much more to New York than midtown so make sure to get out and explore! We met Jackie from housekeeping as she was finishing tidying up our room and she was a sweet heart, she had lots of good tips for first time visitors to NYC.

Nice hotel. Great location for us. A lot of food options around. Rooms are not terribly small for N.Y. Clean, stylish, friendly and helpful staff. Near subway and easy to get a taxi. No fridge in room, nor a coffee maker. No room service. There is a concierge though so... However, was never a problem as coffee, bar and restaurant all downstairs. Take out across the street at market.

Hip and comfortable hotel in Midtown. Festive lobby scene and very nice staff.

Excellent, attentive staff. Stylish, modern and clean hotel. Rooms can be small, but efficiently setup and modern decor with great style in good condition. Complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea is a HUGE plus!

Really enjoy the hotel. Conveniently located for my constant business travel through Grand Central. It is a pay for what you get situation. The cost is translated to the quality of the room. DO not book it expecting luxury. But when you are in NYC you really just want a nice secure clean room to sleep in and store your luggage. The gym is a bonus which keeps me coming back.

NYC has an abundant supply of great hotels in roughly the same class as the Lexington. Here's where the Lexington stood out, based on a recent stay. The room, though not huge, is larger than average, and the sensible room layout and perfectly chosen furniture make good use of the available space. Everything tells you they anticipate your needs well--everything works, notably the plumbing and the climate controll; a good cable and Internet TV package; and free wi-fi in the rooms. There's a 24-hour gym on the premises. I've stayed in many NYC hotels over the years, and a few Airbnb rentals. So far no one has understood me like the Lexington.

I have stayed at The Lexington before and have always found it to be a pleasant experience. This time, however, was disappointed in the room (small, looked into dirty back alleys) and the sub par cleaning, especially the bathroom....Otherwise, no other negative comments. Had little interaction with the staff (I prefer it that way unless it's unavoidable). High traffic in the lobby, guests coming, going, and waiting.

While our room was small, it was very clean and comfortable. Great rate for an excellent location.

Perfectly lovely Staff was excellent...helpful and pleasant!!!

Service and staff are excellent and the location is right in the center of Midtown. There is a third floor fitness center which is just what you need to keep your workout in when traveling. However, as a Manhattan hotel the rooms are very small and somewhat cramped, especially for the price. The elevators seemed largely out of order as only one or two ever opened and took forever. This hotel is for those wanting a convenient place with few frills.

Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom a little tired

My room was directly behind the elevators and heard them all night long--was very annoying and unable to sleep throughout the night. For the price--the room was okay but nothing special. I would not stay here again.

The hotel room and staff were wonderful. The staff was polite and accommodating. And the convenience of the nice lounge is very nice. The proximity to the Raffles restaurant was great too. The fitness room was very good as well.

I chose the Lexington to stay at while celebrating my 30th birthday in NYC for several reasons. It seemed like it would be a nice 4 + star hotel that was in a convenient location for tourist activities. It had good reviews regarding the hotel and staff. It boasted that each of its rooms came with a refrigerator, coffee maker, and mini bar. My first experience was with the night staff when we arrived after midnight. The lobby smelled like stale smoke. I had requested a high floor with a view. We got to the room to see how tiny it was. It was difficult for the 2 of us to maneuver the room at the same time without having to step around the bed to allow the other around. The "view" was of the adjacent hotel's windows, with no sight of the city. And I quickly realized that there was no fridge, coffee maker, or minibar. I went back downstairs to explain to the lady at the front desk that my room was supposed to come with these things, as stated on the website. She very rudely said that those things needed to be requested when booking. I explained that the site said it was supposed to be provided in every room. She again reminded me that I was wrong, then said she'd have a fridge sent up to my room. 10 minutes later, a very old, loud, and LARGE fridge was brought up to our room, taking up a majority of the free space. Upon checkout, they tried to charge me $50 for the refrigerator! They also tried to charge us $4 per piece of luggage to check them.

Stayed at this hotel because it sits near the corner of Lexington and 48th where the US Open busses pick up and drop off during the US Open Tennis event. The lobby joins in with a Starbucks and a small restaurant, Raffles, that has great breakfast choices at good prices. Another bonus is that you will probably run into one or two of the professional tennis players staying there, as well as other event personalities, who eat breakfast at Raffles.

Hotel was great. Location was perfect. Front desk staff rude

The room size was like a large closet, not what the pictures lead you to believe. Bed seemed older, not the typical larger, better quality mattresses you see in most hotels today (better hotels). View was non existent. Opened the shade, then shut it right away. It was horrendous. Fourth floor room looking onto a filthy closed in roof with garbage, etc... There was also NO coffee pot in the room. Icing on the cake was when we checked out and went to get the car. It took 50 minutes before the car came. Plenty of other hotels to choose from...

Excellent atmosphere in the lobby. The room was quiet. The hitel staff was wonderful. Nice area and close to everything I was there to see.
