Sleep Inn JFK Airport

We came in from an overseas flight very tired. The receptionist was very helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable and the breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold. We were very pleased with our accommodations.

We called in advance from abroad on this hotel before we booked, as we had some specific needs: we were looking for a hotel with airport shuttle service at specific times. We were told it was available from 3-11 pm. When we arrived, we called and were told to wait at 2:50 outside for the shuttle. We waited outside until 3:47, with two small children (2 yo and a 10month old) with severe jetlag, in late June´s heat. I had to call three times from a foreign phone and was continually told, the second and third time, to wait. The hotel staff at first tried to excuse themselves saying that they really meant the bus left the hotel at 3 and could arrive anytime after that at the airport, but since I had been told on my first call after arrival to wait there at 2:50, they realized this wasn´t adequate. Once this was clear, the staff on the ground at the hotel were great and even reimbursed us for some of the stay given this issue, but since I called both from our home country and as well as on the ground once we arrived, and they knew we had small children waiting, but then tried to excuse themselves with a little lie, it seems they could have done more.

Convenient location to JFK airport. There is a catch on free shuttle services though, i.e. no services after 12noon and before 3pm, this was not stated on the hotel website, which is misleading.

Got in late, guy who checked us in never got off his cell phone while he checked us in. Room was tiny, not comfortable. Very Limited parking!

Close to shops and restaurants. Good place to stay for affordable price. I was comfortable for the entire stay and the rooms were clean

Everything are good. I got rally good ralax of this hotel

My experience at this hotel was very great. The manager of the hotel has great customer service skills and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. The shuttle bus offers rides back and forth to the train station which saved us time and money.

A bit far if one has a flight constraint. Decent cheap hotel for JFK otherwise.

All rooms facing Liberty Avenue are very noisy, since the tube line is just across the street, and runs nearly all night long. You may not know, but the tube in NY is like a train, that means, it is VERY noisy. Moreover, the hotel is right at the corner of two streets with lots of traffic. On top of this, people at the fornt desk is very rude. The hotel was nearly empty when I arrived (most rooms had the curtains open, and there were 6 cars in the parking lot at 11 pm). I asked for a room facing the parking lot, but the clerck declined my request (he was very bussy, facebooking his rubish). Will never stay here again.

I enjoyed the hotel. The neiborhood is not the best but I only walked during the daytime hours.

The location is very dicey, not a great neighborhood, but the rooms are perfect. The only hassle I had was that the staff overnight was not too informed about food options and when I asked him for an extra coffee packet for the room he couldn't find it.

Only stayed here one night, but the amenities were pretty nice. I especially loved the glass shower. The overnight staff was very rude and curt. Also parking is very limited and you have to drive somewhere to get food.

Things ok, the only problem we need a shuttle to get the train station for going to manhattan.

My overall stay was pretty awesome second time I've been there and no complaints... Stayed and extra hour and no charge staff is nice will stay again reasonable prices. They have a good selection of cable channels as well got to watch the all star games. Jamaica ave is only a few blocks away so it's very convenient.

The hotel room was clean. However the beds were small, and it was located in a neighborhood that didn't look good.

Traveling with a service dog is not always the easiest, but this hotel made it easy! As I require no wheelchair facilities, I wanted just a regular room. Most hotels won't let you do that. Sleep Inn did. And the fact that the parking was easy, and the neighborhood pleasant with a park about a block away, was icing on the cake. The staff were professional and friendly, facilities very nice, (breakfast exceeded expectations and a fitness room too!)and security for the elevator was a plus. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone staying in this area!

My 1st time in NY. My stay was excellent. Access to the subway was only a couple blocks away. Convenient. Rooms were very nice-quiet and comfortable. No problem getting a cab in the area. One important thing if you want free shuttle from the airport make sure to come into JFK. No free shuttle if you come into La Guardia airport.

Living in NYC is expensive. This hotel is not a bad choice

The building is new, and walk to subway around 10 mins.

Internet was down for my entire time there, a real killer for a business trip (probably annoying on a vacation too). Got by with a smartphone but that's not what I expected. Neighborhood was such that even I, a not so small male, was afraid to be outside after dark. On the plus side, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They spent time to help me get to and around Manhattan. There is a train station not far away which gets you to Manhattan in under 30minutes, which the hotel provides a shuttle to and from.
