I’ve gone many time to The Roxy to see my man perform and the service is nice. The place brings a variety of people from all walks and you get to interact with some on occasions. My boyfriend, Chino Pons played a set on New Year’s Eve at DJango downstairs and he rocked it! He had everyone dancing and enjoying the New Year. The service that evening was ok as they were packed to capacity.
The Roxy Hotel can be the answer to a New York Hotel where you don’t feel alone as a single traveller. As a previous guest of the Soho Grand, a hotel that I also love and part of the Tribeca Hotel Group, The Roxy came as an alternative a couple of years ago! This hotel is vibrant! It has energy, great food and drinks, games tables for pool, back gammon and more..... regular live jazz, a daily pianist (early evening) and great cocktails including it’s namesake The Roxy! The hotel is open planned on 8 floors and hosts a range of rooms to suit everyone’s needs and budgets! The first time I stayed, I enjoyed a 7th floor small suite which provided everything I wanted plus more including a vinyl record player with a choice of sounds including Bowie which prompted me to buy my own vinyl record player back in the UK. I now have a growing collection of 17 albums! And, as a single traveller, if you want some company, The Roxy will even provide you with a pet Goldfish! Along with it’s own cinema and club, this is a bustling hotel with vibrant energy! I LOVE it!
Myself and my friend stayed at The Roxy Hotel this past Saturday night. We were here celebrating my friends 60th birthday. We loved loved this hotel. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and a glass of champagne! We checked in at 1pm and our room was ready! We had room 616 a deluxe double with a great view of the Freedom Tower. The room is exactly as how it is pictured. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. We had our hair done a the Roxys hair salon Blackstones. We both were very happy with our blowouts. When we returned to our room to get ready for dinner, we both were so surprised when room service knocked at our door. The hotel management sent up a complementary bottle of champagne and a birthday cheesecake!! I had happened to mention in an earlier email to the Roxy Hotel confirming our stay that it was my friends birthday. We also enjoyed the Django till the wee hours of the morning. We also loved the jazz boozy brunch! Our waiter Mula did a fantastic job! Book this hotel you will not regret it!!
To begin, I am very much a FAN of this hotel! Our stay was nothing short of spectacular! The accommodations, luxurious and modern, all spaces beautifully and well appointed! But, the SERVICE was beyond any/ all expectation! Rowland, Eric, Adrine, Felix, Tom, Natia, April, Theresa, Beverly, Donald, Sergio, the Concierge, ( who took extra time, many times), to see how we were doing, EVERY EMPLOYEE, including the director of guest services, made it a point to inquire, direct, or, just be fabulous, during our 12 day stay! The food and drinks, wonderfully, lusciously, and, consistently, prepared, the room service, prompt, polite, and, perfect, the housekeeping, immaculate and considerate, just an amazing experience! I have stayed, lived, in hotels, all over the country and world, the Roxy is a STAND- OUT!! Thank you, for all the fabulous holiday options, like the nightly jazz, the D'Jango and Movie theater options, and, of course, the very ultra extravagant, New Year's Eve Party!!!! This hotel, it's amenities, A MUST, for a traveler, local, or, visitor!!!! STELLAR!!!!!!!!
My son took us to enjoy dinner and it was amazing. Food was good, however location was great, ambiance was wonderful. We were visiting for New Year's and I would love to stay at the the hotel next time. Very nice - would recommend. Service was great.
The hotel is in a brilliant location walking distance to lots of great places. Amazing bars, restaurants and cafes near-by. The hotel lobby/bar area is amazing and has a great vibe. However what let’s the hotel down is the really poor service in the bar and cafe area. Maybe we were unlucky but on three separate occasions it took over 15 minutes to even get acknowledged (it wasn’t that busy). It’s expensive so you expect to get acknowledged at least. It’s a real shame because it’s such a fab area to hang out in. The room was perfectly acceptable although the sunken bath was a little odd but the shower worked fine. Our room was serviced well and reception staff were polite and helpful. We would stay again and would recommend and just hope the service improves in the bar area.
First visit to NYC for both of us. Loved the city but this hotel was a big part of a great experience. If you are wondering where to stay on a first (or any) visit, Tribeca is a great base. You are sufficiently detached from the madness of Midtown, 5th Avenue, Times Square etc (but can still get there quickly on the subway - various Canal Street subway stations are nearby). In the opposite direction, the Financial District, Battery Park, World Trade Centre memorial are all in walking distance. In short it's a very convenient location and the Roxy sits in the middle of it. It's very cool. Big atrium. The dim lighting adds to the ambience. The service is excellent (bottle of fizz sent to room for honeymooners a nice touch). Doormen, receptionist, concierge, room service all really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Huge breakfasts (for those so inclined!). Good bar and also a coffee shop front of house which doubles up for both guests and passers by. Added bonuses are the private cinema in the basement (fee to guests) and Django night club (ditto and see seperate review). All in all an outstanding venue that I would recommend to anyone.
We stayed at the Roxy for 6 nights over the Christmas holiday. We had a suite and a typical room. The vibe at the hotel is fun, lively and very unique. The service was good especially from front the desk (Sonia), all the bellmen and the concierge, Ruddy. The hotel has a oyster bar, restaurant, lounge area, live music and a coffee bar all seamlessly working together! And on the lower level a jazz club and movie theater! All these amenities made for a really enjoyable stay. The food in the restaurant was very good, excellent drinks and the room service was fast and good as well. Loved the location in Tribeca. We were within walking distance to Soho, Greewhich and Chelsea neighborhoods as well as the WTC memorial, Wall St and Battery Park. It was more of an authentic NYC experience staying in a neighborhood like Tribeca, instead of one of the more tourist areas. Our suite had an awesome city view. We did not have any problem with noise/music on the 4th floor as the suites are located a bit farther way from the atrium area. We would definitely stay here again! loved it!
I was looking for a great party to attend with 4 of my girlfriends, with great music and ambience to ring in 2018. Sammy made it happen for us! We had a great table, impeccable service, endlessly flowing champagne and drinks, food, and great music!! The theme was a surrealist ball and we had a ball! I don't usually go for costume parties, but this was fabulous! We danced to live music, featuring David Johansen. All five of us had a blast and we are definitely thinking ahead to New Year's 2019 at The Roxy!
My husband and I transferred from New York to Boston twelve years ago, but still try to visit NYC with our kids a few times a year. Whether it’s to enjoy the holidays with family, visit a museum or just to catch up with old friends, we always stay at The Roxy. There are many reasons to stay here, but let me share just a few: The staff is not only attentive and friendly, but accommodating. The hotel is very clean and has a warm ambience that works for any occasion. From the jazz-themed lounge (with a pool table and live music) to the in-house cinema, the Roxy has lots to offer. For us, the Tribeca location is perfect. It’s away from the over-crowded Times Square area, but still easily accessible via the A, C, E subway. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops to enjoy nearby. Any problems – just call Sami! He can fix just about anything. His years of experience, accessibility and kind-heartedness are unrivaled in the hotel industry. We have received unexpected and generous upgrades thanks to the Grandlife Rewards program, and even follow up phone calls from Sami just to make sure we enjoyed our stay. If you’re going to visit NY, treat yourself with a stay at The Roxy Hotel.
