Renaissance New York Hotel 57

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Renaissance 57 is a reasonably priced hotel in a pretty posh NYC neighborhood. It's an older building but the rooms are rehabbed to be clean, sleek and contemporary. And they aren't super tiny rooms like in a lot of NYC hotels. We had a great view of Lexington & 57 from the 6th floor. There's a high-class diner, Palace, right next door with great breakfasts and lunches. Staff super friendly and helpful. My only negative is that they don't have a vending machine at all in the hotel. Ice, but no drink machine. Oh well. Everything else was fabulous! I would stay there again in a minute.

Hotel was not bad..old...but close to everywhere...need to finish repairs..nothing bad to say

The lobby was under construction and we had to take two elevators to reach our room. The room was tiny but the bed was even smaller and super uncomfortable.

Very clear close to shipping area. The stuffs are very nice.

Hotel was very clean and had a nice amount of room. mostly quiet, and had a very nice bar to grab a night cap.

This hotel was doable but not the greatest. The room was small, bathroom had to door lock, and the water would not stay hot, there also was not enough lightening but overall the location was great. I stayed on the third floor and did not like that I had to take two elevators just to get up.

The heating system broke and we woke up in the middle of night by hot water gushing out of the wall. A true nightmare...

Great spot in the city to catch the museums, shops, eateries and subway anywhere you want to go. Took Uber occasionally to Harlem and Queens. The walk to the Museum of modern art and the subway to the 911 Memorial were fantastic.

I paid the price for queen size bed, but the bed pad does not cover all the bed which makes the bed surface is uneven. The elevator is old, Stay at room could hear the cable up/down noise.

Staff did everything to make my stay better. Location is good for walking to lots of midtown. Close to subway entries as well.

Comfortable hotel in good location but ripped me off on the bottled water. I thought it was complimentary as there was no card or sign indicating you had to pay for it. Found an $11 charge which they refused to refund.

My husband and I stayed here during a quick getaway weekend. I thought the location and cleanliness of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff couldn't had been friendlier - and the 2 free drink tickets (wine or beer) upon arrival were a nice touch. The look and feel of this cool boutique hotel definitely fit the vibe I wanted for the weekend. I would've rated it a 5... only thing is that the bed was as hard as a rock. My back hurt the whole next day. However, to be fair - my husband thought it was fine. If I heard they got new beds I would definitely come back every year.

Great location for visiting all the sights. Visit the 17th floor for a great view and to sit with a your morning coffee. Same that there is no internet in the room. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Just a short walk to the Greyline tour buses, a must if your time is limited. You do not need to walk far for great shopping.

Staff is so friendly and accomodating....rooms are small but very cool. Public areas are a little tired but I'm told there is a redo coming shortly. This hotel was the best surprise I've had in years. I will certainly return.

Great value for the money and excellent mid town location near Central Park.

Lobby etc renovated rooms have african or very poor standard bath was dirty restroom amd old soap, feels like bedbuvgsevetywhere shame onmarriot its not even a hostel or maybe hostel sorrybut travelling all year nevwr had such a horribleexperiemce beds oldwverything horrifying

Was shocked by the room state, size and lack of facilities. Wifi was very week in room and a surcharge was still applicable to connect contrary to advertise. Despite being on high floor and supposedly very quite room, the noise was very hard to avoid. This should be at best 3* hotel not a 4* in any mean.

Good experience for the night. Perfect location. A bit to loud the A/C in the room.

Great products. Great room. Loved this place and will come back the next time we're in NYC.

Great stay...Great staff....Enjoyed the service and the amenities. Great deal for the price
