Although the property was in a good location I would not recommend the hotel. The bed was not very comfortable. The pillows were bad. The bathroom was horrible. It smelled of mold and the shower continually leaked. Because of the way the shower was set it the floor would get all wet when you took a shower. The sink was halfway in the shower and looked like it would fall off.

The rooms are confortable but they require URGENT maintenence. The ac doesnt work; the shower faucet was broken... Also, each night the room key stopped working and it had to be reprogrammed.

The location was good, near Times Square. The AC in the room was broken and it was hot. Moved rooms. The shower took 5 min each time to adjust to avoid scalding hot or freezing water and the pipes were making banging sounds. The hotel rooms are mostly black and have dim lighting, so you can’t see well, such as for putting on makeup, or to see if it’s clean. There’s no hair dryer in the room. If you don’t choose a city view room, you have a view of a cinder block wall and pipe with almost no sunlight coming in. Drinks are expensive since it’s NYC of course, but the restaurant also charged a $6 service fee for 2 drinks. The waitress also made great efforts to persuade us to order a modified drink of what we wanted, Which we did, and it tasted like they substituted cheap schnapps to save money. Never going back to this hotel.

I was in New York to see a few broadway shows and explore the city. My room was very small (i knew it would be small when i booked), but it was a bit snug. However, the room was very nice and the hotel small and pleasant. I would stay there again.

Elevator was broken when we arrived and we had to climb 7 flights to our room with luggage. the elevator was repaired by the next morning.

Overall, the hotel was just OK. The room was quite small, but it was expected given the location and size of the hotel (two people can just barely fit in one room). The lighting in the room/bathroom was very dim; the bathroom was pretty disgusting (bath area was dirty and the drain was clogged); cooling system was broken, only heat and windows do not provide much fresh air at all. I can’t complain given the price I paid for the room but I would not book with this hotel again.

Hotel was clean and staff were courteous. Heat was set at constant 80 degrees which even though it was winter, was quite uncomfortable. Toilet had difficulty refilling. Designed and booked trip through orbitz. Went for check in and they had my reservation under a different name.

Rooms are on the small side and you have no view of the outside at all

Room looks like pictures, just a bit more worn. Unfortunately also a few broken/poorly working things in the room. Slow response from the staff. The room was missing soap, shampoo, etc on the first day and it took multiple requests and several hours to get it refilled. Super noisy so was hard to sleep, the air condition was extremely loud inside, and the garbage truck was operating right out front and waking me every night. The bed is also fairly short, with a foot board so you can't just let your feet hang off the edge either.

The hotel room is small but it was very comfortable. The staff is amazing and really helped with the trip. The location is very close to time square and other entertainment.

Had a successful stay at Night. The room was basically windowless and dark. When I used my flashlight I could see that things really needed cleaning. My coat fell while I was hanging it in the closetlike alcove, and it had dust all over it. The bed was clean (I hope) and it was comfortable. The room door never really closed well and it could've been pushed open fairly easily with a little force. The safe was in the room, but unattached so you could walk away with it. Walls were awkwardly thin. Conversations were interesting though! Put in my ear buds at 1 a.m. Time! I never did show my ID upon check in..trustworthy face, I know! Came and went with little known security or greeting. When staff was around, they were very nice. Definitely a boutique hotel with no frills. Location is excellent just a block away from Times Square.

Noisy After 7am from construction site beside the hotel But good location

Experience fine except heat was too high and we couldn't adjust it. My girlfriend would have preferred windows but I thought it was fine. I'd stay there again. At this price, you don't expect a lot of ambiance.

The hotel is in a great location, which is why I chose it. However, the hotel may have been magnificent when it first opened, now it's past it's prime. Holes in the walls, dirty carpets, tile falling off the walls, etc. The standard room is cozy, but is definitely enough for 2 people. Our window faced a brick wall, which again, wasn't a huge deal at all because we only used the room after a long day in the city. Just know that the photos posted by the hotel aren't a great representation of how it looks today.

Wonderful location within a few steps of Times Square, 5th avenue and more. Very nicely decorated, comfortable bed and good AC (seems to be rare in New York). The staff was extremely helpful and personable, Patrick is great! My only negatives were due to the fact it's an older building so there were some small things like low water pressure and smaller rooms. Still a great deal in a great location!

Nice design, close to Times Square and all transportation

This is a great centrally located hotel. It's a half block off Times Square and no more than a 10 minute walk from the majority of the theaters. The rooms are very small but very clean and the beds are the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on (plus they give you a feather pillow and a very nice firm pillow). The staff is truly what makes this hotel shine, they are AMAZING. They will assist you in all your needs from navigating the subway and streets to making reservations and recommendations. For my family Patrick stood out the most. He was great. He has a great personality and is knowledgable. He helped make our trip fantastic. I highly recommend staying here while you visit New York.

the hotel was nice with great location, but the wifi they provide was very slow and unstable. The room was clean but we found a few items were left from previos guest. The air condition was a bit noisy and the the wind directly to the face during sleep.

The hotels is in a great location just a few feet from Times Square. The staff was awesome and very courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. I loved my stay here!! no complains.
