Iberostar 70 Park Avenue

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The location is perfectly situated within walking distance to Grand Central, Bryant Park, NY Public Library, Times Square, and shopping. It's quieter at night with not so many tourists so you'll get a restful nights sleep. There is no restaurant or bar in this hotel so grab something a block over. Clean and spacious rooms. Will definitely come back here.

Great staff. Not so good room condition. Blinds were broken, bath tube and tiles in bad conditions. Comfortable bed.

Iberostar provides amazing service. They upgraded my room to king size and were flexible with check out time. The location is great and the rooms are a nice size and very comfortable and accommodating.

My experience at this hotel was even better when I've learned that they have free boarding pass ticket printing.

I only stayed for one night, so it met my needs nicely. I wish it had a restaurant and room service.

We were greeted by the hotel staff upon arrival and received a complimentary upgrade. The room was comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

I booked for 2 nights for business. Due to the election protesters we were en route to the airport and ultimately missed the flight. I called the property to advise them that the next available flight would be a red eye, so I wouldn't get in until the next morning. Immediately their response was "we cannot refund you", instead of a shred of service. Zero understanding of the circumstances, which are nationwide. Arrived around 8am after a very long day and overnight flight to a front desk that didn't have anything to say other than ask for a credit card or even crack a smile. Nobody to help with bags, so I drag my heavy luggage completely exhausted up to the room in the rickety elevator and through the hallways that were incredibly narrow to try and get at least an hour of sleep before my meeting. Every few minutes I was woken up by slamming doors in the hallway. Walls were so paper thin you could hear everyone talking doors constantly closing. Then the bathroom - dim, the size of a postage stamp, no place to get ready or halfway decent light to put on makeup. The bathtub/shower was not at all inviting. This was going to be a problem preparing for 2 days of meetings. I asked if I could check out early and ended up booking another hotel because I couldn't wait to get out of there. The front desk said no and couldn't care less that I had spent on two nights of hotel to spend not even five hours total. They should be ashamed of themselves. This is in no way a "4 star" property

Hotel is very nice, but the staff, generally, seem very unhappy.

We lost a camera in our room so make sure to use the locker. Otherwise perfect location and a good hotel.

Room in the hotel was great, functional, clean and large for NYC. Hotel location is great too, very close to main train station, metro. Breakfast and coffee shop are just plain weird ... the only thing u can really have for breakfast is bad coffee shop food, they should definitely do something about it.

Staff was courteous and professional. Room was small but comfortable. Food availability is limited to coffee and Danish at breakfast time but cocktails are available during the evening at the bar.

Quiet location, a few blocks away from Grand Central Station. Good service, clean rooms.

Quiet boutique style hotel. Easy walk to top attractions.

We had a wonderful time at hotel. The room and bed were comfy. Enjoyed our stay there and already planning our next visit. Staff were wonderful and attentive.

The room was a tight fit with 2 beds, and there was limited storage space, but the beds were excellent, the staff very helpful, and the location fantastic.

Manager very kindly helped me print a speech. My room was big (for nyc standards). Very clean and looked recently renovated.

We had such a great stay and will be back! Great location, cute boutique style hotel, friendly & helpful staff. They had a long list of items that they can provide complimentary, should you forget them at home-- even things like chargers and hair straighteners! We happened to not forget anything (for once) but it was nice knowing if I had, all I needed to do was call the front desk.

Everything was great about our room except for the drain in the shower/tub was stuck shut so that when taking a shower the water did not drain out. Since we were just staying for one night was not a major problem.
