In the business district, Hotel Newton is in New York's Upper West Side neighborhood, a walkable area with good shopping. Columbus Circle and Times Square are notable landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at American Dream Meadowlands and Sunset Park. Check out an event or a game at Madison Square Garden, and consider making time for Central Park Zoo, a top attraction not to be missed. Our guests appreciate the hotel's central location.
Hotel Newton was very good experience. Clean rooms, comfortable, but as all good NY hotels it’s expensive. I wish there was more restaurants, bars and shops within a short walk, other than that good location.
This hotel fit our needs perfectly; price, location (1 block from Subway and excellent Diner next door), safe location- no concerns, loved the older building charm, very clean. The staff were very friendly and entertaining.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, right next to a subway stop. It might be considered a little far away from the tourist attractions, but being next to the subway really solves that problem. Our one issue was upon leaving the hotel. We asked for a taxi to the airport and the person at the desk contacted a private car. We were not told it was a private car and had we not asked the driver for more information, we would have ended up paying a much, much higher rate than a taxi to the airport. We did not appreciate being told it was a taxi by the hotel staff when it clearly was not.
Clean hotel. Great location right next to the 96th Street subway station. Free water, cookies and fruit are nice added touches. Only one slow elevator so best to stay on a lower floor. Good deli next door.
