When reaching the property it was “closed” with a sign on the door that the check-in clerk would be back in 20 minutes. There was no internet in the entire hotel. When the clerk came back, I will say that he was very nice and understanding.

The property and rooms are far better than i expected. The room setup and design are really unique and pretty. The location is a bit far and not the most desirable area. My biggest challenge was the fact they had no hot water one day and the next day, it took 10 minutes for the shower to get to an acceptable temperature. I'd definitely consider going back if i had a room on a lower floor that took less time for the hot water to get to.

Lot of construction. No lobby, restaurant in the basement and only open 4 hours in the morning. No bar. None of this was disclosed and no notification on the website. Website shows a nice lobby, nice restaurant, nice bar and upper deck. None of those were true. I showed up around 230PM and the main maid was asked if a room was available and she nastily said "my rooms will be ready at 3!" I had to wait in a narrow hallway sitting on a seat he had to pull out of a hole in the wall, literally! It was horrible! They should have at least given a big discount for their false ads on their website and not being able to provide any of those amenities! also, I made reservations months ago with a guaranteed final rate. It ended up coming out over $80 over the committed price. I had no room service. It was their charges. Never again will I stay there.

Under renovation. Smells musty everywhere. There were workers hauling debris in guest elevators. There is no lobby right now. No restaurant other than breakfast. Forget about having a beer after a long flight. I arrived at midnite, so i was too tired to find another place. Even the uber driver commented on the poor condition of the place. To add insult to injury, they charge a 25$ facility fee. Worst hotel i’ve stayed in the last 5 years.

Tiny minimalistic Japanese style hotel! Too expensive for the space

There were some issues with the room, but the staff resolved the issues.

Exceedingly small cramped rooms with little functionality.

No Heat; no hot water, doesn't disclose $25 resort fee (for internet) until you check out

The hotel staff was very receptive to my needs. Franck, the director of operations was extremely helpful. The resturant is very good and quiet which is plus. The menu diverse that you can find a good variety and reasonable for New York standards.

I chose the Hotel Americano because it's located near my daughter's apartment. That location worked well, and had the added feature of being very close to the HiLine walkway. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. After that things go downhill. Following a Japanese model, the bed is located on the floor and not easy to get in and out of. The only seating is a minimalist beanbag chair, and the room would be a disaster to try to work from. The elevators sporadically malfunctioned, leaving me once in the basement when I was attempting to reach the lobby. A late-night coffee in the nearly-empty lobby bar took 15 minutes for a clearly inexperienced staff to produce. The location worked for me, but it's not a particularly good hotel or value. If one plans to try to

Good Afternoon! Please feel free to reach Front desk to discuss this matter. We have not had any negative feedbacks about hot water for a very long time, thus I would like to learn the details of your stay. Thank you!
