the hotel is the worst I visit

No me gusto que tiene cuartos sin baños, los baños son compartifos en el padillo!!

Old school and affordable with all amenities available.

This is a perfectly respectable hotel in a good neighborhood. Both rooms and shared bathrooms were very clean. My double bed room had a built in sink, desk and closet--very easy to use. It was quiet, and staff cleaned the shared bathrooms during the morning use period. Reasonably priced. Very convenient to subway, train and cab transportation.

Love the antique elevator that welcomes you right when you enter the hotel and the staff was wonderful

Location. Secure well lit neighborhood. Supermarket etc near by.

nice location, clean, friendly staff.very old elevator

Loved the character and atmosphere of this authentic NYC hotel.

Great value in great location. Small elevator, shared bathroom, but clean comfortable and quiet.

A great neighborhood, full of restaurants that I like and very close to my office.

If what you want is a clean bed in NYC and want it "on the cheap" - this is the place for you. Totally comfortable, clean, quiet, and in a great part of town (steps away from the 6 train which can get you anywhere fast). There are no amenities, but who wants to pay an extra $200 for a fridge, or a fancy lobby, or an ice machine? The room was very small but adequate. It was also a bit outdated but didn't feel scary or gross. My room had a sink, a small desk, a small tv, and a window that faced a brick wall. The bathroom was next door to my room but never more than a few steps away from other rooms. The shared bathroom had a toilet, sink, and bathtub/shower and was super clean. My floor had 14 bedrooms and two bathrooms. I never saw anyone else. I will think long and hard about paying more than $200 a night if all I need is a place to sleep or do a little email catch-up after a long day. It's way more fun to spend my extra money on a show or a good restaurant.

This hotel is a great value for the money. It is clean and safe, wifi and plumbing works nicely, easy check in, etc. It is definitely a budget hotel, as such does not offer a lot of amenities. Some of the rooms have shared bathrooms, don't be afraid of sharing a bathroom, you won't have to wait long if at all, and they are kept very clean. If you don't like that idea, there are rooms with private bathrooms too. We have stayed here a few times. Some of the mattresses feel quite old and are uncomfortable. Others feel like they've been replaced more recently and are comfortable.
