It was a time machine to 1980. It was not what the pictures showed.

Nice stay very pleasant enjoyed the staff very clean and accomondating

Okay for a place to sleep. Work was going on next door but that wasn’t their fault.

The bed was just a sheet on springs. Paper thin windows that allowed you to hear every argument outside. The room looked to be at least 100 years old without any renovations. They need to spend less money on their fancy lobby & more on the room. Parking costs $41 after tax. Never again.

Not nice hotel.....................................

Cold room with worn out furnishings and bad vinyl and carpet. Single thin blanket with no way to regulate heat (think rundown rent-controlled studio where landlord is hoping you'll get fed up and leave). Hotel Newton next door is much better if not sold out.

Very convenient location in the upper west side. Quiet and private.

I arrived at 1 am to one of the employees had parked in the loading zone. I informed the staff by phone that I couldn’t stop my car to unload (I had to call) he said to come around and block the street anyway. Luckily on my second time around I was able to illegally park by a fire hydrant in order to at least not have to walk too much. The guy at the front desk really wasn’t listening when I told him that someone parked in the loading zone, and that conversation went on for a while before he understood that I wasn’t asking if I could park there but rather I needed to park there to unload. Still didn’t help though. Next comes parking, I ended up having to park over 3 blocks away. Not anyone’s fault but super inconvenient. We go up to our room to be greated by a symphony of various smells. By that time, all I wanted to do was sleep in the somewhat acceptable room. Woke up to the weird sound of what could be a pipe ready to burst. This happened every 2-5 mins and would last for about 10 mins for both nights I was here. To top it off, you could smell the weed that was being enjoyed by someone on my floor. The cleaning staff were honestly a delight, such nice people. The hotels location was the absolute best thing about it. Literally a 2 min walk to a 24hour subway stop that takes to any tourist place you want to go to. If this place gets an overhaul, it would guaranteed be one the best places to stay. I know this was a long review but I think I was inspired by my smoking neighbor

Leaking water from a valve in the bathroom. Had to keep towels underneath to prevent getting feet wet. An alarm was set off in the middle of the night. Took a while for anyone from tge hotel to get to our floor and shut it off. No " we are sorry" or any type of apology on check out. The front desk answers calls call 50% of tge time.

Clean but in need of major renovation. Very outdated.

Smoked in room Stained carpets full of wholes Rusted metal everywhere you look at Peeling off wall paper TV set straight from the early 90's Rusted bathtub..and the list goes on. Bed sheets and towels were cleaned and seemed relatively new

Not worth the amount I paid for, service was terrible, didn’t have warm water, couldn’t get in touch with staff, check in took 25 mins

Nice hotel close to Columbia University where I want to attend.

Clean, comfortable and I felt safe. There were people going and coming at the time of my check in but the staff remained helpful, pleasant and seemed organized.

Hard to beat for the price. Property was very clean, staff professional, room comfortable. Great location (94th and Broadway), good neighborhood, the subway's right there (if you're driving, park in front of the church on 96th between Amsterdam & Broadway), all-night eats, Duane Reade's around the corner. I had a nice view- I figured at the price I'd be looking at an alley, at best. There's some seriously sketchy hotels in NYC, and this is NOT one of them. It's not a Four Seasons, and it doesn't pretend to be. What it IS is probably the best value in a tourist-class hotel in town. I'll definetely stay here again.

The hotel location is excellent. The room had no wash cloths Sunday night. Called and called the front desk, no one answered. I went to the lobby and found a maint. Worker that told be someone would bring two up. On Monday, i had to go down to the desk. This time a very helpful staff person arranged to have wash cloths and tissues sent up finally.

Needs updating. Everything is old and worn out, except bed.
