Days Inn Brooklyn

The location was not quite as advertised. This hotel is 30 minutes away from all the hip areas of Brooklyn. Water faucets leaky. Bed and room clean. The worst issue was that the hotel maid service was cleaning a room next door to me at 11:15pm. Vacuums were being used and the two Hispanic ladies were talking so loud to one another, that I had to call the front desk. This did not help as they continued to be very animated to one another until 11:35pm.

This hotel from the outside looks ok, however the parking (if you can say they have one) is only about for 10 cars, so we were just lucky we had a spot for ours. I was ordering the non-smoking room, and the room we got, from the moment we walked in was just disgustingly smelling with cigarettes, and especially bathroom!! It was a nightmare! But we were so tired that we did not go to argue and attempt to get something better and not so stinky (if they have something like better), we decided to survive somehow till morning and get away and forget about it. But later I really regretted we didn't, I could barely breath over there, we had to turn off air conditioner and open the window, to get rid of the disgusting smell at least a little. And we paid 200$ for this nightmare!! OMG, for that price i am sure we could get a nice room in a better hotel. I will never ever go back to this hotel and DO NOT recommend it to anybody (unless you smoke and do not care, than good luck).

I stay at this hotel every time I come to NYC. They are convenient, respectful and near the subway. The inconveniences are usually minor and quickly rectified. They really do aim to please customers.

Sink clogged, smelly room, bathroom with lights out...

Room was very small, but well maintained, clean and well serviced.

They did have an iron and ironing board in the room. And the staff need to be more welcoming.

The hotel was cramped, filthy, and unsafe for children. There were no screens our window which is an accident waiting to happen especially from the 5th floor. The hotel was a dump the doors were unsecured and the floors and bedding were dirty. The only thing nice I can say is the kitchen attendants and the night clerk were very pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to another family. This should be a rent by the hour hotel rather than offering family vacation stays.

Friendly staff. Reservation was ready and check in was efficient and fast. Room was comfortable. Hotel is very very convenient to our destination. We could walk around the neighborhood easily and could walk to our relatives' home. Very nice neighborhood with a diner, coffee house, bowling, easy access to subway, convenience stores for small items, and a grocery. Beautiful park to enjoy time in.

Very pleasant, perfect location as well as great customer service for a two star hotel. Loved it.

Not too many amenities but ok parking and a lot of good food local if you like Spanish.

My experience at this hotel was fair. For the most part it was clean & that's number 1 when staying in a cheap hotel.

If you need to be close to NYC but you don't want to pay much for a room, you can stay at this hotel. The walking distance to some simple restaurants is good. It's a Latino community. Many don't speak English but are very friendly. Rooms are small, hotel is older but fairly well kept. There is no parking for all the guests, so be careful if you are counting on a parking space. Staff is very friendly.

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel. Friendly reception, clean room overall. Room looks smaller than you would think from the pictures but at least it's cozy. If you like to sleep longer in your room in the morning cleaning staff may not let you do that as they are super loud and feels like banging everything around. This happened every day. There is also train nearby which may shock you as well. Its very loud. But the worst out of all is that every single night it smells weed in the hall and elevator, I don't know who stays there but it smells weed pretty bad.

The room was very nice and clean. Although it was small it was fine for our purposes. The breakfast was great. There were many things to choose from and the room was clean and cheerful

The first room they gave us reaked of cigarettes, there were burn holes in the comforters, the Jacuzzi tube was riddled with cigarette stains and the inside was so dirty or grungy I was afraid to even give the kids a shower in it. The air quality was awful. I called and they were very nice and had 1 more similar room available and switched us to it-this one, while cleaner was so tight, we could barely open the door without it hitting the bed. We had to walk sideways between desk and bed-it was an awful experience-not worth the money!! Very disappointed.

overall ok experience, however, the rooms are very tiny, and very limited parking. the manager told me that if "you can't find parking in front of the hotel, park your car in the street" !

There are many better hotels at the same price point near this one. Unfortunately they were all booked and this was the only option. As a last resort it is acceptable, but better options exist.

Just needs a better organized staff...totally messed up my reservation...

great location, good neighborhood, great value, good rooms
