ok for shorter stay. It's hard to locate but you can find the fast food near by.

It's a 1970's building but nicely maintained and remodeled, and just a block from Queensboro Plaza subway to get to Manhattan in ten minutes. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would only complain that the breakfast attendant would be putting breakfast away 15 minutes before it was officially over; she literally put the cereal bowls away while I was reaching for one, standing at the counter with a box of cereal. I followed her into the back room to get a piece of bread from the tray she had just removed. I kept looking at my watch thinking I had the time wrong, but it matched the wall clock. I just think she had places to go and people to see. For the five days I was there... so I learned to come earlier. :-)

It was very close to subway. Staff was very nice and incredibly helpful. Breakfast was very good. Room was cozy.

Half a block from the Queensboro Plaza subway station, two blocks from another station with lots of bus connections available. Neighborhood is undergoing gentrification so there's lots of construction noise but overall a very satisfactory spot for a tourist home base. The rooms are rather small and dominated by the bed - but you're not spending a lot of time in the room, you're out and about in the big city. Very comfortable bed, excellent water pressure in the shower - free continental breakfast in the lobby gives a nice chance to chat with fellow travelers. Because of the size of the rooms this is probably not a good pick if you are a traveling with kids - unless you get two rooms. We do NYC about once a year and found this place when our 'go-to' hotel farther out on the 7 Train line in Queens was fully booked - we will definitely consider staying here again. Our usual visit includes doing the flea markets on the weekend and this location is a short bus ride from three major venues in Brooklyn without having to pass through Manhattan via subway.

The hotel is located close to the subway station which was great. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. However, I did not like the wardrobes as they were too small and impractical.

other than a shower curtain that had mildew, the stay was pretty nice. hotel is 1 block away from the Flushing train and ease of transportation was great. the continental breakfast was sweet and provided enough variety and food to last beyond lunch. for the price and proximity to Manhattan, this place is a bargain. The whole area is undergoing tremendous construction and the pile driver was annoying but, unless, you intend to stay in all day, isn't much of a issue.

Got room in the basement, lot of traffic/road noise. Could not sleep over night and spoiled my entire next day.

The location of the hotal isn't that good, and it was decently difficult to find for us non-native New Yorkers however, they allowed us to check in early without a fee, had a pleasant disposition when we spoke to them, and generally left a good taste in my mouth for the hotel. The continental breakfast and exercise room are horribly mediocre, but the people are extraordinary.

We stayed in this hotel when we are working in NY because is close to the metro and some nice restaurants, and it's a great deal.

I stayed overnight last minute & it was really pricey, the room was tiny and there were no towels & there was no mini fridge. I asked for a smoking room and didn't get one. The positive thing was that it was immaculate, super clean. The staff was average. It's also really close to Manhattan.

Too much money no fridge or microwave in the room it was small shower didn't work..

Room was spotless, staff was friendly. Great value for decent location.

My boyfriend and I were staying for 2 night weekend getaway to visit friend. Great for a quick trip. Nothing fancy. The hotel was great, conveniently located to subway with 30 minute trip into manhattan. Room was clean. No excessive noise from hallways. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would book there again!

The location is just one minute's walking to the subway station which leads to many major scenery spots.

Great all around experience. Staff is very accomadating. Rooms are clean and it is a great local to Manahttan. Will definitely be going back and am lookong forward to it.

I came to NYC for two weeks in January and this hotel helped me to save a few thousands bucks on the first two new year nights, but not spend hours travelling to Manhattan. In fact, I would rather stay in Comfort Inn LIC if I had not booked another hotel for the rest of may stay before. The area may not look very friendly, but it's safe and the hotel is really very close to a subway station, just 3 min walk. Hotel breakfast was okay, though there're quite a few tables in the dining area, so you'd better wake up early to get a place or take the food to the room.

Staff was very nice. Room very clean. Continental breakfast had a great variety. Comfortable room. The only problem, which really can't be helped, is the size of the room. Very small, but we were able to fit 6 people in a room, but very tightly.

I had a 1st floor room which was really basement level with windows out to the sidewalk from ceiling height. good tv..clean bathroom..good for short stay

The staff had our room ready early so we moved in on our arrival in the late morning. The room was small but clean and very attractive; the stone tiled bathroom was perfect. The desk clerk was very helpful planning our trip to Roosevelt Island. The serve-yourself breakfast was an opportunity to greet other guests from around the world or take our meal to our room. One subway stop from Manhattan was the best!

I went there because I had an emergency with a member of my family. I didn"t like the sorroundings but for an emergency is O.K. The room was very clean, nice t.v. set, bathroom perfect and generous breakfast.
