Super 8 New Orleans

2.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We stayed at this hotel for a conference in New Orleans. We enjoyed everything there.

Location wise - it will cost 10-$15 to take a Uber or Lyft down to the French Quarter, so that's not too bad. The location didn't really give a warm and fuzzy feeling and most visitors probably wouldn't want to walk around the block. It was clean for the most part, but our room had a little water damage above our sink in the bathroom area. NOISE was the biggest issue. there was a door that separated our room from the next room over and you could see the light underneath the door and very easily hear someone next door, even if they were talking in low tones (which our neighbors were not). If they could soundproof the rooms a little better, that would be nice. If you're on a budget though, this place is a nice find.

It is hard to find a good place to stay in New Orleans with reasonable rates. This hotel has several times provided what we need for our stay with good rates. The ride from the motel to the center of the city is only 10-15 minutes.

The elevator is scary. As soon as I walked in the room, I realized there are issues with the hotel foundation. Possible mold problems. Windows are super thin. Basically, if you're only planning to shower in the room, you're ok.

Experience was terrible horrible customer service was worst ever. Not recommended

Is ok Hotel to arrive and have a shower and rest, is near downtown and superdome.

always good, staff made me feel at home most all the time. Breakfast in the morning is always great!!

This hotel is a great choice if you are NOT planning to walk anywhere. We stayed there for our 2 day car trip to visit New Orleans. We parked the car at the hotel and took an Uber to town. The hotel and staff is great, just a location is marginal. I would not recommend going for a walk in that area. There was security in the front lobby and we always felt comfortable and safe inside.

Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Clean good smelling room. The pool opens too late 10 am and closes to early 9pm.

Great hotel. Not its fault located by vacated 12 flat building in not the greatest of neighborhoods.

My experience at this Hotel was completely 100% awesomeness. I grew up in New Orleans and decided to go back and visit family which I usually do almost every year if possible but I don't usually get a hotel this time I did and I'm glad because I had an awesome experience the hotel clerk or check to be in when I got in that afternoon around 130 pm was absolutely awesome she was nice considerate and when I told her that I had driven nine hours to get there and I knew that I was early to check-in she still allowed me to check again it was great I was exhausted and needed to rest. The breakfast was great and all the stuff that I had had contact with were awesome and polite and very helpful parking is a little tight but that's OK everything else made up for that I would definitely recommend to my friends and possibly even stay there again myself.

Good hotel. You will enjoy it. Nice and clean. Free breakfast! 15 minute drive to downtown. Close to lakefront arena. There is a building that should be destroyed next to it. Don't worry they have security guards. I would stay there again and recommend to other people. We had a great time in the big Easy!

Super 8 is a discount hotel like motel six...not any better, not any worse.

The hotel itself was okay..didnt like the parking.

Very secured hotel with surveillance cameras, private parking and most of all, Wifi inside the hotel + cable tv.

A good hotel for the money. The staff was very friendly.

Didn't actually stay. Pulled into parking lot, and while finishing a phone call, observed two drug deals and a prostitute. Turned around and left.

This isn't a 5 star hotel, but it's definitely not a bad place to crash for a few days. This is our second time staying here.

Nice, clean and front desk clerk was very friendly and professional.
