Bathroom was so small you couldn't shut the door and be on the toilet. The sides of the bed was so close to the wall you could barely slide into the bed.

The staff was excellent and so was the location, but we woke up to no hot water in the morning, which means cold shower. We called but it was never fixed before we had to leave.

My only negative comment is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and it was attached to the light switch so there was no way to turn it off. Everything else was fine about the room and overall experience.

Good price for New Orleans but the walls are paper thin.

It was really good for the price. You cannot beat the location! Within walking distance of the French Quarter, yet further away so you don't hear (most) of the noise. The rooms were pretty small, but once again, the price is great for the location. You do have to pay for parking. The hotel will charge $38 per night for valet, but the front desk lady was very helpful with telling us about a parking garage 3 blocks down for $20 per night. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. PJs coffee downstairs was amazing tasting coffee. The internet was really finicky. Honestly, the hotel was really great for the price. I would definitely stay here again.

overpriced, room too small, several things in room didn't work, valet parking takes a VERY long time, no room service even at $400+ per night

Room was a bit smaller than expected, and the area had a few more homeless than I would have expected for such an establishment. The hotel itself was adequate.

Nice clean safe hotel. Just about a block and a half away from bourbon street. We had a room with 2 double beds for 3 people and it was kind of tight. But overall good experience.

Great location, close to all attractions . Clean rooms

Always a pleasure to stay at the Royal St Charles hotel

Mostly nice, but surprisingly being charged with amenities fee, besides paying a discount fee with orbitz account to n advance. Why?

Very friendly and helpful staff! Zero complaints! Would stay there again!

Great location, comfort, all around. I pass through NOLA 3-4 a year on assignment and always struggled with finding a place that was not only centrally located to the quarter but quiet and clean. The rooms are great, it is in walking distance to everything, food, convention center, bars and I felt safe staying as streets late night can be dicey. Staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating. Definitely staying here again.

The only issue I had was not with the hotel but with the parking garage they contract with! The man continued to try to charge $30 even though all signs on the building said $20 and my paper from the hotel said $20. There was a lot of back and forth but the hotel staff got it straight!! Everything from check in to check out was amazing!!! The staff was extremely nice and helpful and we were able to see the parade from our room (since it rained) and when it cleared we went back on the street and joined the crowd!

Nice staff, convenient location to Canal Street and French Quarter.

Close to great cafes, public transit, and the excitement of Bourbon St and the French Quarter. Parking available and great concierge services.

I’ve stayed at this hotel previously and remember it fondly. Perhaps a lack of life experience at the time, but this time around I felt that I didn’t get my money’s worth. I looked at other properties prior to booking and I was attracted to the fair room rates not taking into account the parking/valet situation, a cost not factored. When it’s all said and done I could have stayed at a nicer hotel which might have offered either acceptable self parking for free and or valet service more moderately priced. RSC offered self parking for $20.00 a night which might have worked if it wasn’t for the fact that the parking garage was a three block hike. Because of this I opted for a “$35.00” a night valet service which after taxes is almost $40.00 a night with an additional $12.00 service charge??!! To make matters worse, if they could get worse. I waited an average of 55 minuted each day to receive my vehicle. The expensive valet service wasn’t even any good. My stepfather is a disabled Vietnam veteran and valet was the only viable option for us. Not even a discount offer for their disabled guests. Over all I felt nickeled and dimed to death. I will never consider staying at this hotel again and much less recommend it the multitude of people visiting NOLA.

Right price close to most places you want to visit around New Orleans

Hotel is in a great location, everything is in walking distance. French Quarter etc. Wouldn't mind a stay at this hotel again.

Hi Ed, It sounds like you booked during the New Years Eve/All State Sugar Bowl where rates are at our highest. Regardless, the issues in your room and the wait for parking is inexcusable and we're very sorry for that.
