My twin 16 year old daughters were asked for their phone numbers by a maintenance/construction worker, the water was NEVER hot (Luke warm at best), my Paul Mitchell hair products were stolen by the house keeper, construction or garbage truckers picked up at 3am both mornings and the only “free” breakfast is toast or English muffin (just a pull into ihop so you’ll buy more)! Only positive I️ could say is the location had easy access to interstate.
We stayed only two nights on a short business trip. I paid with my points so as for value, it was good. You can tell at one time this was a really nice hotel. It now shows it's age. From the hallway it is still nice. Once inside the room it was a little old and dirty. We had a live roach in our room in the morning. The Continental breakfast voucher was basically just good for free drinks on your ticket at the IHOP. Check-in was fast and easy and the staff was friendly.
the hotel itself is old and you can tell as soon as you walk in, there's a musky, stale smell in the hallways. an IHOP is attached, which I thought was cool until I realized how trifling the "continental" breakfast was. only options are oatmeal, biscuit, or toast and you can only choose one and for a drink you get a soda, juice, or coffee. again only one of those. not even a choice of meat. and you only get this sad little breakfast if you ask for it. the hotel will also charge you without giving you notice, so be sure to ask about fees for ANY little thing.
Paint peeling from the bathroom walls, toilet barely flushes, missing drawer knobs, and the 'free breakfast' is literally a card for the ihop next door that only covers the cost of a coffee and a piece of toast. I felt very mislead by the amenities this hotel provides (allegedly) and was also charged additional fees that the staff ASSURED me I wouldn't be charged. When we originally booked our room we accidentally booked for 2 adults instead of 4. I called to change my booking in case it was more expensive and was told that there would be no extra cost and not to worry about it. 3 days after our trip we're charged an additional $80 for having 4 people in the room, and when we brought up the additional charges they told us that they could have doubled the charges and that we should be greatful. I'm not super high maintenance and the room did its job of giving me a place to sleep, but getting charged EXTRA for a hotel that did the bare minimum definitely made it 100x worse. Im pretty disappointed and in my 6 years of travel I've never had a stay so poor. I guess you pay for location, but even that isn't super great. I don't typically write bad reviews, but this is the first time I've genuinely felt taken advantage of and I'm pretty bummed about it. I had high hopes for this place but my experience fell flat.
Nice hotel, the rooms were big and clean, the place is 10-15 minutes driving from the French Quarter. The breakfast in I-Hop is very simple, if you want to eat normal breakfast you will need to order from their menu and pay for it, of course. The stuff working on the front desk are very polite and helpful, they will assist you with every need you have. If you arriving late at night, the place around the hotel gets little bit loud because of the 24hrs I-Hop, people tends to go there in the late hours. All in all, I recommend this hotel to people that are ok to drive back and forth from the famous Bourbon Street. It could be less expensive, my opinion.
The room was nice and clean. However, the Internet service was down. The front desk supplied a number for Internet help, however, they would not answer and did not call me back as their message stated they would.
Over price for average hotel.room very like cheap hotel and bathroom old and dated and walls need to be touched up.
This would be the second we have booked this hotel and we enjoy it ever time. We also love the fact IHOP is connected to it. Awesome hotel to stay at! Thank you!
This property was clean, had free wifi (yay), access to coffee and breakfast in the AM. Staff was friendly and accommodating. room furniture was showing wear. The fitness room was sub-par with old equipment, empty water dispenser, no towels. Has a huge outdoor pool and nice patio. About a $30 Uber ride to downtown areas including French quarter and great dining. We stayed there because all downtown hotels were completely full. Although it was further out than we preferred, we can't complain about the accommodations or service.
Hotel was ok..enough to do what we wanted to do. It is at least a 15 minute drive to the French quarter but we did take uber back and forth..staff was nice and gave us what we asked for. The breakfast was not continental if you are use to a true continental breakfast. The room could have used more up to date furniture..you can tell it was either a different kind of hotel before or one that hasn't been upgraded until now with minor changes..but overall stay was pleasant.
