The first morning the shower would not work. Something was wrong with the faucet that directs the water from the tub to the shower head. On our way out early that morning we stopped and notified the clerk. When we returned late that night the shower had been repaired, but our room had not been cleaned. We reported that and was told that housekeeping had reported that the room was locked. We had been unable to get it to lock from the inside, and were not even there. Two days later it did not get cleaned again. This time housekeep reported that someone was in bed. Again, we had left early in the morning for scheduled tours. When explaining that to the clerk he insisted that someone was in the bed. We simply were not there, so go figure. Poor service, and poor response when reporting the cleaning problem.

Hotel is pretty far from shops and stores if you do not have a vehicle. The bedroom looks positively nothing like the one advertise on Orbitz website. Staff is absolutely amazing and welcoming.

Beautiful View, staff was very friendly, awesome rates, will definitely stay again

Hotel was nice had a very colorful feel to it. No major issues.

Great time visiting New Orleans for a couple of days. Hotel staff was very friendly. Loved having the little restaurant next door.

Its should have been worth if they should have continued normal prices for the long weekend too..

Biggest thing to be aware of is that there is NO ELEVATOR. I just happened to pack lightly enough this time I could take the stairs fairly easily but it would be very hard for someone with a lot of heavy luggage to maneuver. It looks sketchy when you pull up and it's in the middle of nowhere but there were still people partying under my window - in the parking lot - for 2 hours Sat night. I will credit the staff for addressing my complaints (it took 2 times before the group finally dispersed) but the fact that people were partying in a parking lot in the middle of nowhere gives you an idea of how little there is to do there. The room was spacious and it did have a microwave and fridge but the furniture is old and banged up, there are holes in the carpet and the fridge buzzed so loudly I had to unplug it so I could sleep. Weirdly, the coffee maker was in the bathroom, the phone didn't work (so I couldn't call the front desk easily) and they don't offer conditioner, something that those of us with frizzy hair desperately need in such a humid place. Additionally, the fan didn't work on the A/C unit so I couldn't have drowned out the partiers with some constant white noise. On 'Auto' the A/C unit would come on so loudly it woke me up several times. I also do NOT recommend the attached café. My omelette was burned and the waitress treated me like an outsider since I wasn't from around there.

it has a nice name but it is simply a road motel. It is 20 min from the French quarter but there's absolutely no life around the neighborhood. It seemed safe anyways. It was ok in every aspect, not bad, not great. Just location makes it not that interesting.

enjoyed it a lot, room was clean, staff was superior

The motel is near the water with commercial fishing boats around in an industrial area. The room was fairly clean and nice except for the strong smell. It was a strong odor that seemed to be masking (poorly) the heavy smoking smell of the building. (I was in a "non-smoking" room) I'm not super sensitive, but this was overwhelming and kept me awake. The smell permeated my clothes and travel items to the point of still smelling upon return home. The neighbors and thin walls were a bad combination as they were exceptionally loud and arguing until 2 a.m.. People were coming and going from the room all night as well. The hotel staff were fairly friendly and helpful but they did not offer any assistance with the noise (banging doors, pounding on doors, yelling/arguing). The folks next door were pretty sketchy and I was glad I was not with a family. I would not recommend this particular motel.

enjoyed the stay and the room was clean and nice. The staff were very nice also!

Good location. Too pricey for an ordinary hotel. Have seen better at a cheaper price. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Pool was not clean. Had to checkout iron and ironing board from front desk. It just wasn't what I suspected for the price I paid. Staff was pretty nice.

First we'll start with the fact that the room we booked is not the room we got. We booked a King bed, non smoking. Our room was smoking w/2 double beds. I complained, motel said they were sorry but the online booking via websites is more a preference of what you would like AND it does not mean you will get that room. I have booked online before & this has never happened. She said they were overbooked and was sorry. Next our key to get in room only worked the first time we got in and never worked again. They tried giving me new keys 2 times, tried changing batteires, The mechanism where the door key goes in just didnt work. So everytime we needed to leave and get in room again the front desk had to get a physical key to open it for us. Very aggravating. Our room was not clean, there was a cigarette butt on floor and dark hairs all over the bathroom door and walls and floor, a half dranken dr pepper bottle. Also it rained really heavily & water was leaking in the doorway of our room from outside. Disgusting place. Will never stay there again and dont recommend anyone stay their just for conveince like we did. We were trying to be as close to neworleans as possible for a concert. I will gladly stay 20 mins away than stay there again!

Our weekend stay at this hotel was a pleasure. The hotel is literally located 7 miles from downtown New Orleans. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cafe staff remembered how my husband wanted his breakfast and he got it that way every time. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in New Orleans.

A little tired but expected that. Staff very friendly. Room clean

We had a large, comfortable room. But the motel was all by its self on a business highway. There was a cafe attached, but limited menu.

It was a nice hotel with very nice people. I would stay there again if in the area.

We stayed here for Jazz Fest, and it was an outstanding value for what we paid. Only about a 20 minute drive into New Orleans.

Overall good

Our room was dirty. There was hair in the bathroom and on the pillow. The room and hallway had a foul odor. There was no clock radio nor coffee in the room. [...]charged $20.00 a night more than the motel charges. [...]charge was $110.19 per night, the motel charges $87.91 including taxes.
