We got a great deal and the location was great but, it ends there. It's very dated and doesn't look well maintained. The bottom. Portion of our dresser was broken off, there were several parts of the room was were just broken and in disarray. The shower leaked, wasn't fully covered and the floor always got wet. There was a smell in the room, either humid or moldy smell.

From the moment we pulled up, the vallet was unhelpful. Told us to go park our own car. We were unsure exactly where to park it, until you walked over and pointed at a spot. The front desk check-in lady was nice. But not very professional. There were two women there, they were cutting up and laughing. The "hotel" is actually a motel. The room had an awful smell to it. The bedsheets looked clean, so that was a plus. There were several parts of the room in the bedroom, bath a ceiling that were chipped chunks of paint. The molding was falling off in the bedroom. There was a large spot were it looked like they had covered a hole in the bathroom, but never actually painted it. It was just spackle. The bathroom shower and toilet area was not cleaned very well as, they left hairs all over the floor and stains on the door. We didn't have time to complain because we only had 30 mins to change and get to our event. Upon returning, I took a shower in my flip flops only because it wasn't really clean. I go to blow dry my hair, and the hair dryer is broken. I was rather late at this point to try and get another on. Oh, and I the morning my husband noticed the AC unit had leaked all over his cloths, and bag that was next to the unit! I was happy toget out of that place the next morning! We will never return. We just expected a lot more than we got, for a room that was $225.

Quiet, charming, uniquely laid out complex just far away enough from the Quarter to bring you peace. Mr Ed's is just next door - gumbo, oysters, red beans & rice and cold beer!! Close to the WWII Museum if you're so inclined. Older property, but full of NOLA charm.

Beautiful hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed to extend the stay due to the Hurricane and recommended very great places to go. Nice to have the trolley right in front of the hotel!

Love to stay here when in town¡ 3rd or 4th visit, and never with any less expectations. As close to excellence as one can get for the price.

The room was certainly serviceable, but by no means Posh. The bathroom door was partially off the hinges, so was difficult to close. The telephone didn't work. The towels need to be replaced. The shower had partial pieces of soap below the soap holder from previous guests. Also there was exactly one (1) coathanger in the closet.

Very pleasant stay. Safety not an issue. Lots of food choices within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful experience. Staff was very friendly.

Good hotel and nice location! Right on streetcar line. First time in New Orleans and we enjoyed it!

The place is very pretty with several courtyards. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect- close to everything you want to see in NOLA. The room needs upgrading- everything looks and feels worn out. We also didn't have cable for 3 days so there was nothing to watch on TV. This is usually not a problem but when you are traveling with small children- TV becomes essential.

Valet person was very friendly and knowledgeable and had info. On attractions and fares for streetcars. Friendly staff were eager to help.

We were very impressed with this hotel. We will stay here again!

A very pleasant atmosphere with its eclectic vibe. Enjoyed the talented street artists and scenery.

It's perfectly located between the Garden District and the French Quarter on the trolley line which is a great feature of transportation. The hotel staff is warm, inviting and friendly. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. We got very lucky choosing this hotel. We will most definitely stay here again And Mr. Ed's seafood next door is awesome!!!!

Free breakfast, nice pool/hot-tub, newer renovated rooms.

This hotel was in a nice, quiet, vintage location. It was very clean and the courtyard was gorgeous. The hotel staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable about some things. The breakfast did not include tea, which is a must for those who prefer that instead of coffee. The beds were comfortable and the room layout was nice. The vent fan in the bathroom was too noisy and the rain shower head didn't work very well. The rooms had recently upgraded heating/cooling thermostats but ours did not work properly. It threw out very cold air every other time that it cycled on. Not good when the temps outside were cold at night. I called the desk and they sent a new maintenance employee up to check it out but he was unable to fix it. Needless to say, I came home with a very hoarse throat. However, to the hotel's credit, the desk clerk did waive our valet fees because of the inconvenience, but only because I asked for some kind of credit refund. Overall it was a nice place though.

My room was beautiful. The staff was very courteous and professional. This hotel was worth the money.

It was a convenient, but lack in quality for the price. L

Girls weekend. We had a great time. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay here again. Very clean and excellent location.

Josh the person that checked us in was great, friendly and helpful the other front desk staff were not as helpful and friendly. The first room was not big enough and run down we requested a different room and josh got us into a better room. We did not get cleaning service every day but the day we did we did not get kleenx or wash cloths. We could not find the remote but they brought us one. The air conditioner stopped but we were able to reset and get it working again.
