Days Inn Laplace staff during my stay were warm, welcoming and ever ready to assist. They ensured I enjoyed my stay. The hotel had neat and serene environment. Wifi, TV and other amenities were good. Its central location made navigation easier for me. I will surely visit again when in Laplace.
I searched for a hotel in the area where my brother and his family was staying. I booked with Days Inn-Laplace and I will say this, they were very professional over the phone and in person. The next morning my family woke up and went downstairs for breakfast and I must say that the area was very clean and organized. They staff stayed on top of things to make sure everything was out and refilled when needed. The lady at the front desk left the waffle mix out so my grandson can have a waffle when he came down. breakfast hours were over at 9, he came down at 9:20.....and he had the biggest smile on his face knowing that they still had waffles left. Thank you again for a very pleasant stay.
My husband grandson and I checked into this hotel on Saturday June 10th. We checked in by accident our reservation was at the Quality Inn next door, upon check in they charged us 20$cash! (Early check-in fee) I gave her our reservation number and name , she Never said we were at the wrong motel she took the money and checked us in. Her mom calls 30 minutes later screaming at us we were in the wrong motel! She upset my husband by yelling at me! Stating we are going to charge you for the whole! She came to out room screaming at us that the room has been used and we were going to be charged I asked why when we are leaving? By this time I'm mad and my voice escalated she threatened to call the police on us and our 4 year old grandson.! This is the most rudest place ever. Upon check in at the Quality Inn next door they informed us they do this all the time. I will never stay at another Days Inn ever! Tammy Barnett
Nice quiet Hotel to stay at with good people that run it, nice clean rooms, good free breakfast, and if you need anything at all to make your stay better all you have to do Is ask and you'll be promptly taken care of.
My family and I traveled to New Orleans for spring break and stayed outside of the city. We find Days Inn Laplace, which was central to several outings that we had. From the swamp tour to visiting several plantations. The Service was great, everyone was extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were always cleaned and bathroom spotless. I recommend staying at Days Inn Laplace during your next trip to New Orleans.
My family and I came from Texas to visit friends and relatives in the New Orleans area. It was convenient to stay in La Place La as it was only 25 to 30 minutes away from the places we had to go and visit. The staff was friendly and helped us in any thing that we needed. The breakfast was very good. The only thing that happen was my wife left her pillow that she takes on trips other than this our stay was a good one. I will stay in the La Place Days Inn again. Anita was very good at booking us and after we arrived she made sure every thing was taken care of for us.
I have had the pleasure of staying here twice now. The staff always goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and welcome. My fiancé called ahead for Valentines and the manager decorated our room with roses wine and candles! Of course you have to call ahead and that costs extra! Lol, but what a wonderful person to do such a thing! The rooms are always clean and anytime I needed anything all I had to do was ask. The location is so close to a number of things to go and do or places to go and eat, even convenient to the casino! I cannot brag enough about this place!
We reserved this particular hotel as we were travelling to New Orleans. We trusted the high TripAdvisor rating, big mistake. Note, on the entrance to the hotel is a printout showing the 4.5 star rating. Our room smelled awful. Normally I am not affected by odor, but even I was getting a headache. I believe the odor was from the sanitizing agent of whatever the hotel was trying to eliminate/cover up. It was so bad the front desk eventually gave us a box fan to place in our window to pump fresh air into the room, which helped. The carpeted floor did have a musty/moist feel to it, which was not comforting. The toilet rocked when you sat down on it, tilting backwards about an 1" before resting against the wall. Probably not the best setup for plumbing (have to wonder if the room below us). There was mop strands/string snagged on the bathroom door stop. And the bathtub itself looked like a survivor from the 60's. (see pics) One of the washclothes was dirty, the front desk said "some stains are difficult to remove". The final kicker... my wife checked us in, and inadvertently did not get her credit card back from the clerk. Took us awhile to figure it out, and checked with front desk, who promptly gave us the card when asked. I'm hoping that they did not make any other charges on it.... but wouldn't it have been nice if they would have called up to our room to let us know the card was still with them?? Even if no other hotels are available.... keep driving past this nightmare, sleeping in your car is a better option. For sake of brevity, I will not discuss the outdoor pool. :-o
Ok hotel, not a great breakfast. Everything was sold out and they did get us a room, but i resent the fact that the price was so high. Days inn for almost $200. Come on man
We stayed this past Saturday at days inn. It was the quality we expected. Unfortunately we had to get a room with two beds because all the single bed rooms were booked. We had clean towels, wash cloths, and the bed looked clean. The room was stocked with shampoo coffee, etc. the lady at the front desk checked us in at 4!!! And still checked us out at 11! I know she had to tired! She was very nice, she even gave us $1.50 for a drink and some crackers (SO had hang over). Downside: they did not have change???? What kind of hotel doesn't have change?? Not for 100 and not even for a 20!!!!
