Booked on the free phone from the airport , rooms were fair to adequate , breakfast VERY basic , has a IHOP on site and you can get the bus from the airport to downtown for only $2 each way ,, if you are looking for a cheap hotel for a couple of days it will serve the purpose
Stayed here a couple years ago and it has really gone downhill. First room we were given was so far from office wifi didn't work that we specifically asked about. Was told was right through doors however was very far from doors and had to walk in pouring rain. Could have parked way closer had we been told proper directions. Called office sent "IT guy" who said too far to get signal. Called office told could move from 238 to 109. Back through pouring rain. New room had wifi however roof looked like would cave in due to water damage and there were on,y wires where smoke detector alarm should have been. Also very large dead bug in bathroom that should have been cleaned up. If weren't flying out early in morning would have left and found new hotel. Front desk clerk in morning said hotel undergoing renovations however saw no evidence anywhere and huge safety issue not having working smoke alarm.
The staff were very efficient and friendly. The lobby area was clean and had a warm friendly welcoming atmosphere. The room we slept in was terrible. Due to the emergency cancellation of my family's flight we stayed here because it was right across the street from the airport. The room was dusty. The carpet was stained. There was only 1 towel in the bathroom. No toilet paper holder for the toilet paper with only one roll of toilet tissue. The bed gave you the feeling of being dusty as you. It was not a good experience for a family who were upset already by the cancellation of their flight. We checked out about 3 that morning because we could not sleep comfortable in such conditions.
The shuttle from the airport was fast and the driver was great. The room is another story, filthy, if I had a car I would have checked right back out, I slept with a light on because I was afraid of bugs crawling out from the dust piles. I would not get in the bathtub is was in dire need of replacing. The sheets were clean. Ihop is right next door which was awesome.
We arrived in NOLA on a Saturday night when it was extremely expensive to stay in the French Quarter, so we stayed here for the one night. There is nothing special about this place. It's a bit seedy and rundown but the grounds are at least kept clean. Service from the front desk was mediocre at best. Again, nothing special except to check you in. The room at face value, seems clean and the bed is comfortable. Out of habit, I always lift the sheets and check the mattress and box spring which were dingy. There was hair inside the bathtub (that was not mine), and the room had a slight musty smell to it. Also, the carpet was slightly damp in certain spots which I did not understand. Ice machine was broken, but at least the elevators worked. Saw cute little lizards hanging out. Some of patrons of the hotel seemed a bit sketchy. All in all, it wasn't a completely bad stay, but I would not stay here again.
This was the most unclean hotel that I have ever stayed in. I did not look at reviews prior to check in because Wyndham booked it and their brand is usually good. However, if was so bad that we slept in our clothes. The only reason we didn’t leave is that we only needed somewhere for like 4 hours before our flight would be leaving. It is very convenient to the airport. That was the only positive thing.
My room flooded in the middle of the night without my knowledge and I couldn't shower or use the bathroom and my luggage got wet. I was offered a 10 dollar discount but refused it. I then called the manager and never received a return call. I will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
Arrived early at 10 am was not checked in until 5pm. I had booked this hotel after calling direct but was transferred to a 3rd party but didn't know until check in. I had to get the booking info because hotel didn't have it. Other people were checked in before us so we didn't get rooms close to each other as promised. Breakfast is good if your not very hungry basic continental. Very outdated showers and finish coming off tubs. Paid more in advance then prices at check in. We had 4 rooms total and all 5 of us and none were satisfied.
This hotel is right across the street from the entrance to the New Orleans Airport so is handy when flight cancellations require an over night stay nearby. They also offer a "distressed passenger discount" to passengers undergoing flight disruption.
Last minute reservation when my flight was cancelled. Postage stamp size pillows, TV reception very bad, “because it is raining”, and the front desk was too busy to answer their phone. Very convenient to airport and has 24 hour free transportation.
