Days Inn New Orleans Airport

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Mariana at service desk very nice helpful and professional. Excellent place to crush after long day of exploring New Orleans. Clean well maintained and close to airport. Pet friendly-AWESOME!!! Will stay again there

Close to the airport and okay for a cheap quick stay

Wonderful staff, good shuttle, restaurant on property, easy overnight stay near very near airport.

My only problem is housekeeping. The staff in housekeeping are lazy. You have to ask for clean bedding. I figure that You clean how You live, I guess these ladies must be very untidy at home.

Hotel was right across the street from the airport, but the non-smoking room I was given was previously a smoking room that they attempted to cover up with Febreeze. The smell was so horrible I had a headache the whole time. The wall was rotten in one spot and the smoke alarm battery was going out so it beeped randomly until I took the battery out.

The stay at the hotel was nice and quiet the only problem we had was the parking because the hotel was crowded ...The ihop next to the hotel was very convenient for breakfast....

Simple place to stay when coming and going to the airport. No issues during this brief overnight stay

Free airport shuttle, decent room for the price. The room was hot and stuffy though, and we couldn't seem to control it with the thermostat. It was also loud due to the airplane noise, people coming and going (probably to catch flights). You get what you pay for, and overall this is pretty much what we expected.

Staff was very helpful. Shuttle always available.

Room was nice & clean IHOP in the same paring lot. The only thing was the Airplanes taking off every so often but not to bad.

We had a smoking room, which I felt that was very accommodating to our needs. No odor of cigarettes. Pleasant

Convenient, clean and easy in and out. Staff very efficient.

Overall, the property is pretty sketchy. Before I even got to my room, as I was sitting in the lobby "business center" printing my boarding pass, I could hear the hotel registration assistant paging a maintenance person to go to a certain room with a plunger because the toilet was backed up. The elevators were pretty dumpy, the air conditioning unit grating was falling apart outside the door of the room. The refrigerator was making a pinging sound all night. There was nothing special about this hotel other than the convenience to the airport.

Room was clean with cold air. Clean carpet and well decorated. In room coffee with decaf/café. Great cable with multiple channels. Internet little slow. Train and highway noise. Elevator was clean and smell good. Freshly clean by staff. Bus service was fast. Front desk and bus lady were nice and courteous.

close to the airport and right next to IHOP the rooms seemed clean when you walked in, but noticed quickly that the rooms weren't vacuumed.

Conveniently close for an overnight stay in flight or early flight next morning. Has a Denny's adjacent to it. Rooms are decent and the staff is nice.

Tl;dr: the room hadn't been cleaned after the last person stayed in it. I only paid $70, I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but I was expecting a clean place to spend the night. Haha not so much. There was hair all over the bathroom floor (and I don't believe it was all hair from someone's head... In fact, I'm pretty sure it wasn't hair from someone's head at all). There was a used, dirty, stained, hair-covered washcloth that was left hanging on the shower curtain rod. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, and there were more hairs on the sheets. It was clear that the room hadn't been cleaned and the sheets hadn't been changed after the last occupant left the room. I spoke to the hotel staff, and the woman at the desk was pleasant enough, but she would not refund my money, only offered to move me to another room. Uh, no thank you. I'm never going back to another Days Inn again. Do yourself a favour, spend the extra money and stay at the Hilton next door. That's what I did.

It's good enough for a quick stay before catching an early morning flight. It was a little loud, but the free airport shuttle putting you at the airport in less than 5 minutes 24/7 is great. The room was dingy and had seen better days, but it served its purpose.

It was a great experience. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. All appliances and TV are working. No flies or bed bugs as some nasty reviews said. I stayed 6 days, great everyday room service. There is IHOP in the building which made it very easy to eat 24/7. I definitely come back again and recommend it for all my friends.

It surprise me that it so close to the airport. Very convenience because they offer free shuttle 24 hours. A little advice: do not choose the smoking room, it always had a smell in there and make you feel like dity. And our room plug doesn't have electronic, neither hair dryer nor coffee maker can work when we plug in, we stayed there 3 days, they never fix this problem and we have to use another room's hair dryer. The room service knock 3 times door in the morning after we say No thanks. Remember hang the do not disturb last night otherwise they may knock your door frequently.
