Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, New Orleans French Quarter

The staff at this hotel were great. The pool was the size of a large jacuzzi. The room was clean, only problem was that the walls were paper thin. I could hear everyone in the next room clearly. Also there is renovation going on and you could hear them hammering at 7:00am.

This hotel is in a good location but the service is really bad.

Great stay great location will definitely stay here again. Located out of all the crowds

Hotel was in nice location that was separate from all the New Orleans Activity. The biggest disappointment was that many of the rooms do not have exterior windows. Our only window opened directly to the elevator and elevator waiting area so there would be no privacy if we wanted to see what time of day it was. So avoid this room if you are claustrophobic or be sure to look for a room with a view.

Cost, Location, Comfort. More luxurious hotels at greater cost but none with the balance of these experiences.

located right around everything, staff very friendly and helpful, our room was very spacious

Clean room, great breakfast, heated pool, walking distance to Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, the casino, stadium, and St. Charles streetcar. Only complaint is the towels by the pool are not full size!

Best concierge. Very good localization. If you need to rest, you can isolate yourself from the rest of the world in those rooms.

Hit with unexpected parking charge at arrival ($40 after tax). Arrived in room to find chocolate candy smeared on comforters of both beds. The staff was apathetic and unfriendly. Bedding wasn't changed when we called; 2 1/2 hours later, housekeeping handed me new bedding (so I had to make our beds myself, only to find they'd given us the wrong sized sheets). Room also stunk strongly of perfumed air freshener that we had headaches. Very disappointing. Windows looked out into a junky alley with boarded-up buildings. (The shame is that had they moved us to a less pungent room with clean sheets and included free parking, we would have been happy with the room. It's a beautiful building.)

We were on our way to Destin and decided to stay overnight in New Orleans to make the trip easier on the kids. The hotel was in a great location in the French Quarter and was close to many attractions. The beds were super comfy and it was nice have two queens, most hotels only offer two doubles.

I spent a lot of time researching places to stay that had breakfast and was close to my fiancé's business meetings, but sadly was stupid and didn't look on yelp. I was really excited about my final choice because it look amazing and offered breakfast. I was really impressed when we check in with the lobby, but when we got to our room I was really upset. When I booked the room the picture that was shown was a nice 4 poster king size bed and a great view, that my friends was not the case. The room was very small and very lack luster and our view was of a parking lot. I tried to just get over it, but when we went to bed I was very disappointed! Almost to the point i wanted to check out and find another place to stay. For a hotel who brags about their super comfortable mattresses on their website they are TERRIBLE!!!! The pillows are literally the worst pillows I have ever slept on in my life! The are super small and instantly are flat as a fritter as soon and you put your head of them. When you take a shower you start with great water pressure, but as you shower it slowly becomes almost a trickle. My fiancé was here on business and the first morning we called down at 0600 and asked for the car to be brought around, granted we didn't speak with valet we spoke with the front des. We went down and had breakfast an then went to get the car around 0710ish so he could go to work on time and it wasn't there. We talked to the valet and they said they didn't know it needed to be brought

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. Breakfast was the same everyday but you had a verity of different stuff to choose from. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodeted the best they could.

The front and valet staff were very nice. Our room was ready for early check-in and the hotel was in walking distance to many of items on our travel list. Our room was on the first floor next to the elevator and the vending machine. It was loud at times but we were only there for a night, so it wasn't that big of an issue.

My wife and I came to New Orleans on a food-cation. We picked the hotel for its price and location. We were pleasantly surprised to find out how convenient it was from everywhere we wanted to go. It is about a block away from the Harrahs casino, 10-15 min walk to the ww2 museum, a block away from a ruby slipper breakfast/brunch restaurant that is highly recommended. The trolley line that goes to the garden district is a block away and close to all other bus/trolley lines. Less than half a mile from the beginning of the French quarter. Lastly the staff was very happy to help and also free cookies! Would not heisitate to stay here again.

Our room was not ready at check in time which caused some issues for us. We had to call down to have our shower cleaned as there was a used bar of soap from the previous users. Other than these issues the stay was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby and pool area were beautiful.

Hotel is convenient to all major NOLA attractions yet far away enough from the chaos & madding crowd. Front desk & concierge staff very good; cleaning staff mediocre. Physically, room & fixtures could use some refresh. Free wifi nice benefit; free breakfast also appreciated though spread itself only so-so.

Old style hotel with charm and ambiance at a reasonable price. Room was and bed comfortable. Breakfast was included, but maybe a little light on variety. Would definitely stay again

Near enough to the action without being too loud. Small but cozy rooms.

Wonderful staff took care of our needs. Very nice breakfast. Close to the French Quarter, but far enough that you didn't hear the noise from it.

Great location, walkable to most parts of New Orleans

I'm disappointed to hear that our rooms did not meeting your expectations. While many of our rooms do overlook our unique lobby, we can provide rooms with an our door view. It sounds like one of our Executive Suites would be just the room for you! We hope this does not deter you from future visits, as we'd love another chance to welcome you back again.
