I took my wife, daughter and granddaughter to New Orleans for school spring break and we had a great time. My granddaughter (11 y.o) felt in love with New Orleans. I also found it fascinating. It is a city full of life. You see people from all sorts of society levels walking and running. This hotel is right on St Charles Ave where an electric trolley runs, so it is very convenient to go many places. It is very effective and inexpensive. The Audubon Zoo is excellent. We found all business people who help us in our touring very cordial and helpful My granddaughter had a ball at the French Market.

Comfortable and lovely room. Staff could not have been more accomModating. Street traffic is LOUD.

Perfect place for Mardi Gras parade viewing. Free parking.

Located on St. Charles Ave., also New Orleans' most scenic street car route, is a great location for those visited the medical campuses or universities of Uptown. Most hotels in the area are very pricey, but this best Western location offers a fair price for a clean and comfortable stay. The staff is very friendly an helpful. The one drawback of this location is that parking is very limited and there is no easy access check in area before parking.

This hotel can charge a premium for rooms due to its location. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. However, for the price paid, I expected a clean, comfortable, and well serviced room. It was not: The room smelled of musty air conditioner. Who knows when the filter on our AC unit was last cleaned. The ceiling fan made a scraping noise with every rotation. The mattress was old, squeaky, and uncomfortable. The bottom of the shower curtain and the grout around the inside edge of the bath tub was badly in need of a good bleach and cleaning -- they was discolored by black and pink mold that was easily removed by a washcloth. The hotel provided plastic cups, sealed in plastic bags, which was nice. Sadly, the housekeeping staff did not bother to replace our discarded cups, and we did not have cups to use on the second day or our stay. I do not recommend this hotel, given the cost of the room.

On a vacation. Wanted a quiet hotel with good location to most of the city. That is what I found.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The hotel was located perfectly - close to the garden district and a short bus ride away from the French Quarter. We had a great stay here. This hotel stay includes a free secure parking at a great location which is rare here. The amenities at the hotel including the break fast was great.

Enjoyed my weekend visit to attend a wedding. Staff very friendly and courteous. Hotel was quaint with modern upgrades. Beds were very comfy. Great access the transportation but also has on site parking.

Bathroom was too small. Toilet location made it difficult to use.

Very nice, simple hotel. Desk staff was very friendly. Really nice breakfast bar. Free parking in a secure gated lot was a great advantage since I had a rental car (it was the only hotel I found with free parking). Room was clean and quiet. One great feature is the hotel fronts on the main street car line that goes right to Bourbon Street. So the hotel is in a quiet residential area, but you are 10 minutes from the party and restaraunts. Highly recommend this value-priced hotel.

We were only there for 1 night. It was quite when we needed it.. The complimentary breakfast was great.

The location is perfect. Easy access of public transportation almost anywhere. Staffs are friendly. Room is rather small but sufficient to sleep and rest. Breakfast items are adequate. Car parked in secure gated place and it is free. Very nice ambient.

Stayed here for a long weekend for the Final Four. The location and neighborhood is fantastic. We walked everywhere or caught a streetcar which stops within 200 feet of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Very easy access to trolley to French Quarter; clean room and friendly staff; will definately stay here again!

not fancy but clean. room was decent. staff was pretty friendly. nice breakfast in the am. cookies and lemonade in the afternoon. usually a bowl of fruit on the counter. easy to access the trolley car right out front. mexican restaurant next door.pretty quiet at night.

I went for three nights, starting on a Friday. There was quite a bit going on, including a Saints/Falcons football game. I think this was part of the noise problem, as I think there were a fair number of fans in the hotel. Much celebrating after the visiting team won in overtime. The staff was helpful and the breakfast very nice. It was certainly good value for the money, especially given that the hotel next door was $50-$80 more a night and those rooms were MUCH smaller than the one I stayed in. I know this b/c that is where I had friends staying. This hotel is right on the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line and is convenient to anywhere you want to go, without being in the middle of the fray. The Garden District is beautiful and the stay was really nice.

Very clean, very friendly people, right in front of St. Charles and the street car lane. Beautiful area of New Orleans and good place overall.

Everything was great. They even had their own free secure parking lot. The only exception is the elevator was a little scary, loose parts or falling apart, not sure.

We were delighted to arrive and find a bright, clean lobby with easy access to a gated parking lot; "Lacey" at the front desk with so many helpful suggestions on how to get around and where to eat; an elaborate breakfast in the morning; a street car thar runs literally right past the front door; a safe neighborhood; large, clean room with comfy beds; extra sink/dressing area; and generally a feeling that we were in real comfort. Not a single negative. This is an older hotel that has been remodeled by Best Western, and that older, European feeling is still there. I'd go back there in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to you.

It was a great place to stay for families. The street cars ran right past the hotel. There weren't many restaurants near the hotel, but the ones nearby really were great. A McDonalds was within a couple blocks (important with young kids) and a drug store was just across the way. It was a very nice place. The only downside was that if you want to take advantage of the French Quarter, it was somewhat difficult due to the location.

Annette, Thank you for reviewing your stay! I'm glad you enjoyed our location and all the places around us. I'm sorry about the noise you heard from the street. Next time you come, we can select a room for you further away from St. Charles Ave.

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us! I'm glad you enjoyed our location and staff. We are so close to the streetcar and to amazing things in the Garden District. We do offer free parking that is always available. There is an onsite lot, and when that fills up we validate at a garage about a block away. We hope to see you the next time you visit New Orleans!
