I have stayed at this hotel many times. The rooms are usually very clean. I was initially given a room with broken door latch. When I reported this to the front desk, they were very accommodating and provided me with a new room.
Nice small motel, neat, clean, free wifi, microwave, refrigerator in each room and complimentary breakfast. Front desk staff was great. Outdoor pool. Good value. Good location to get to Shubert theater. Not far frm the casinos.
I was bitten by bedbugs at this hotel during a 5-day stay!!!!. Also, they give super-low rates to college kids for the weekends so they can party all night and raise hell in the hallways, balconies, and parking lot. If you want a good night's sleep or do not want to be bitten by bedbugs, do not stay here ever!!!
When we arrived at this motel we first noticed how clean and well maintainted it looked. When we checked in we asked for a room on the first floor. Due to the weekend that might be a problem but the frontdesk manager Francisco did his magic and got us a very nice room on the first Floor. The room was big and very clean and There was a microwave and a fridge. The bathroom was enormous, we were used to a lot smaller. And a perfect shower. All the staff was friendly and helpfull. Again to Francisco; thanks for the great stay.
Booked online and put in I needed a handicapped accessible room. I tried calling the night before and the phones just rang and rang. So I called the day of. The guy who answered asked what I wanted for bed choice. I stated preferably 2 or whatever they had that was accessible knowing sometimes accessibility choices are limited at some hotels. Well I arrive to check in and I'm informed that the accessible room is taken because at the time the hotel must have been full. It is kind of a deal breaker since it would be preferable to have an accessible bathroom with safety features. Anyways I let her know if we cannot make it work I will let her know once I get back with my roomy. When I actually entered the room I tripped over the tiny threshold almost faceplanting. So over dinner my roomy and I discussed it and decided it would be a safety hazard to stay. There was also no parking outside our door as we were promised there would be as all the spaces were taken. While the lady was friendly at check in she had a little bit of an attitude when we returned the keys. However the online booking site took good care of us and we were rebooked elsewhere. I would not knowingly book here again since we were told to just deal with it and were asked for paperwork for our service dogs that were clearly marked in their program gear then had to tell them they couldn't charge a pet fee for them.
Friendly staff at hotel. Room size average. Small TV. Bathroom could have been a lot cleaner. Room didnt smell bad but I could tell that products were being used to mask odors. To me it wasnt overpowering, however, it was there. Those with asthma might find this to be a problem. The free buffett breakfast was ok. They have a waffle machine, toast, bagels etc., hot sausage and cereals/juice. The free WIFI worked great once I figured out how to log on. Not a bad budget friendly place to stay for the dollar.
Friendly and efficient staff at check in. However, room reeked of cigarette smoke when we got there (even if it was supposed to be a non-smoking room and had a sign on the door). Breakfast was substantial, and included sausage, eggs, waffles, bread, etc. Excellent location right by restaurants and stores.
The Staff at this Quality Inn is Extraordinary! They have shown the true meaning of hospitality! The rooms are clean and well kept and the included Breakfasts are quite good! The concern this hotel shows to its guests is much appreciated and it is obvious that they strive to make their guests feel comfortable. We would highly recommend this East Haven Quality Inn especially because of it's staff. Khadouja, Lucille are wonderful and the gentlemen on staff are really helpful as well. Rosani is a skilled manager and keeps things running smoothly. The location is very convenient to many restaurants and convenience stores - there's even a TJ Max, Dollar Store, and a Hobby Lobby should you have forgotten any items for your trip. Thank you all so very much for truly caring about your guests and providing excellent accommodations in the East Haven, Connecticut area.
We booked on hotel.com and they messed up our reservations. We had to call and sort it out. Francisco at the front desk was really great, talking to the hotel.com guy and us, and helped us get it all worked out.
My son and I were on a New England college tour. I had downloaded the Choice Hotels app. Yale was our next stop. This was the most reasonably priced place within about 10 min. to Yale. I wanted to check out the location first, so we drove by. It was good, so I booked the room through the app., then walked it. It took about a minute to check in at the front desk. We had an interior corridor room . I believe it was room 147. The room was clean. The bathroom was nice. The shower had good pressure, and a tall shower head. The best feature. ... The bed .....* HEAVEN!* The bed was firm, but not hard, and it had the most absolutely luscious pillow top ever! If I had a bed like this at home, I'd never leave. Oh, and don't get me started on the pillows.*sigh* I NEED these ! Free breakfast is offered. They have sausage (maybe it's turkey?) and it's pretty good. It's not greasy at all. They also have egg "patties". They were actually OK. They also have coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, peanut butter, jelly, honey, fruit, various breads for the toaster, or a make your own waffle iron ( I know I'm fretting stuff). I had a bite if my son's waffle, and it was very good. Our stay exceeded all of our expectations. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, I hope they have our room available for us. :)
