Good experience as I used this hotel with my wife and my son. My only criticism is that there was not supply of shampoo or soap for the three of us.
Nice and comfortable hotel with a friendly staff. Good location, close to downtown New Haven.
Everyone was so nice and friendly.I would stay there again!!
the hotel is not really clean, breakfast is very simple ,room heaters noisy, long waited for hot water
location was great. we were close to everything we planned on going to.
Nasty things growing in tub, even after using my own Lysol. While I reserved and PAID for a suite, ended up in a dirty room.
Booked a suite, so was expecting a bedroom plus separate sitting area, but their idea of a suite is just a big bedroom with a couch. So when you use the couch pullout (twin), it takes up the rest of the space in the "bedroom". Beds weren't that comfy; some of us experienced bug bites in the morning. Dated room. The hotel does have free breakfast (not a big selection, though) and free parking, and I think they also have a shuttle, but not sure where it goes to since we didn't need. Not far drive to downtown/Yale. Right in front of harbor so we had a view of the water.
The hotel was dated, shabby. I had to change rooms as the bed sheets were not clean, I did not have a fridge or a microwave and the ceilings were stained.
A good low cost option for visits to New Haven and Yale University.
adequate for the cost nice bar/restaurant on site greek olive
Had an okay experience. Shuttle service could be slow at times. Staff was usually friendly but one girl acted annoyed every time I stopped by. Room was clean but bathroom was definitely old and needed touch ups.
not bad, but you can find up level hotel for same amount. it was really bad smell of cigarettes
Room was dirty .. Dirty towels on floor when we arrived . Room not cleaned at all in 2 night stay . I had to take clean towels from gym to have enough . Staff was nice but not responsive . ( was told there was only 1 staff on duty so they could not leave desk) Security was called for activity on the hallway . Definitely overpriced compared to other hotels . L
no coffee available that was worth drinking-had to go to the restaurant next door. Hallways smelled of smoke. Sink in my room was very hard to turn the water on. People at the front desk were very nice. Very old hotel , not redone very well.
Wished it were closer to Yale and center city. We were not convinced the area was completely safe.
The hotel was fine and perfectly adequate for a trip to New Haven. It was an easy walk to downtown New Haven--if a one mile walk is easy for you. Hallways were a little rundown. The room was very comfortable.
The staff was not very friendly upon arrival. They did not take any time to explain any if the amenities, the breakfast time, or how to get to my room. The bed was uncomfortable with pillows that were very flat. The heater in the room was extremely loud and the automatic setting must not have been working correctly because the heater would run all night. Even when I turned it off, the heater would randomly start for a brief time very loudly. Overall, it made for an unrestful night before an interview that I had. I was very dissastisfied.
Everyone was the best people i ever met. Also room was perfect and beautiful. A great experience.
Very nice and clean. A bit far from downtown. Be cautious if you are walking anywhere in the vicinity.
Easy access to I-95. Nice sized rooms. Great breakfast.
