I had a good experience. The place was surprisingly comfortable . . . nice firm mattress. The TV and cable were fine. The room was clean and was a good size.

The room looked ok until you started noticing the filth.

Very close to expressway. Eateries very near. Also grocery store and wine store is not that far.

Very nice staff and clean room. Was scared when I first arrived because the place looked like a dive but was more than surprised for the room being clean and overall experience. Never judge a book by its cover seasoned travler.

While my stay at American was good, I was disappointed in the size of the room. Everything was very tight. The bathroom door was damaged and the shower curtain could use a curved rod so that I does not stick to you when you're showering. Overall, I just needed a place to sleep for the night and American was comfortable.

My husband and I were on a bike get away and needed a room to stay while we rode around the area. It was perfect. Clean, basic, and great location, walking distance from a great restaurant and on the main road to where we wanted to go.

One night, just off highway, clean. Manager sits behind a screen.

The staff was kind, great cable, great free Wi-Fi No other amenities so expect simple Basically clean, bed and bathroom clean I did wipe out fridge and microwave They will clean room daily, but you can except out And my favorite. .. real keys All outside entry rooms. Very close to Interstate 95

It was clean and quiet, no amazing amenities but great if you just want a place to sleep.

It was clean and no frills. No breakfast pr anything except a pretty good room.

We arrived, signed in, and went over to a clean, pleasant room, with a king size bed. No problems whatsoever, price was verg good. Easy to get on and off Rts 91 and 95. Close to New Haven and the shoreline. Just across the street from the USS Chowderpot, where we had wonderful, fresh seafood.

Only needed a place to stay the night before visiting Yale in New Haven. Easy trip into new Haven. Made easier with a great and friendly breakfast at the Dunkin' Donuts right next door. Will stay here again this summer.

This hotel was a basic but very adequate hotel. It had a very convenient location not far from Branford Center and near I-95. The staff was courteous and helpful....I realize some reviews can be overly critical, but expectations can often be too high and this hotel was very adequate for its category.

First impression was the hotel clerk/owner in a dirty window behind steel bars asking us for our driver's license numbers. Our room was dirty; there were food crumbs on the floor; carpet was dirty and dingy; and towels were stained. Housekeeper changed the linen but did not vacuum the floor. At midnight, washer/drier started working right near the wall of our room. It was very loud and the floor was vibrating. It woke us up. I had to call and complain. Only then it was turned off. There was noise from trucks outside. Would never stay there again, no matter how cheap it is. Horrible experience. It's the kind of place that would have bed bugs. I am still worried about it.

When I book a room at a economical motel, all I want is a place to have a good night of sleep, and do some work on my computer conveniently. It offers everything I need. A friendly receptionist to start with, a clean room with more than adequate space, a nice desk for me to work on my computer, TV with much more channels that I need, and most importantly, a reliable and free WiFi. It is 1 to 2 minutes from high way. I stayed there so that I could catch a train at New Haven the next morning to go to NYC. Everything worked out as expected.

considering the price, the hotel is a good choice when you do a car trip.

We found the room to be clean and comfortable. The manager was friendly and helpful. The motel does not provide breakfast or coffee in room, but coffee was available in the lobby. We would stay there again.

Stopped there with my moving truck. The room was clean, safe, and easily accessible. This hotel is nothing fancy, but everything you need for a comfortable night's rest. Our room even had a mini fridge!

I was looking for a clean, well-priced hotel in a safe area near Yale University. I found it in this motel. It is a small establishment with about 15 rooms. The motel is older, but well-kept. I found the beds very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. This is no luxury hotel and was a little older and smaller than I expected, but we were comfortable and safe and that was what mattered to us.

It's a typical motel. I feel it was a bit pricey for what you receive which is really no-frills; there was coffee at the reception desk. One bright point there was Wi-Fi and it seemed to work well for the night we stayed. The rooms were very clean, but, no-frills. The only thing that turned out not to be an issue...we booked [...] and paid with a credit card. When we arrived the owner said there was no payment and I paid in cash. In the morning, the wife of the owner who was then working said that the confirmation did come in and refunded our money with absolutely no issues. And, the two of them were incredibly nice. I would recommend this motel.
