What a pleasure from the time you walk in, nothing is too much trouble for them Attention to detail is outstanding and it is clear that their desire is to make your stay as pleasant as possible Breakfast is good a la carts and borders on silver service This property is highly recommended
This was my second visit to the Manor and I can safely say this is the best hotel I've been to in India! (I travel for business and any one trip normally involves multiple hotel stays) The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I've stayed in various rooms in the hotel and they have all been comfortable, clean and a perfect place to rest. If you do stay in the manor you must go to the restaurant (or at the very least order room service) the food is delicious. Also Zehen spa offer wonderful massage treatments- I tried the signature Zehen massage and it was perfect after a long day travelling. I cannot commend the manor more highly!
Over the course of six weeks in India, we spent four nights at the Manor. It is a lovely, small hotel that provided a needed respite from the hustle of Delhi. Staff was warm and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. WiFi is consistent. There's a wonderful spa affiliated with the hotel, and the restaurant is first rate. I would recommend the Manor to anyone visiting Delhi and would choose to stay there again the next time I am in Delhi.
When looking for a hotel in Delhi, I decided to book this one, for I prefer small boutique hotels to international chains, because of the service with a touch of personality. This is a fine, elegant, cozy, luxury hotel, which I found really excellent and would like to recommend. Moreover, although on the expensive side (as generally Delhi is if a person looks for high standard and quality), also because of taxes, this property has overall a good quality for price value and is cheaper than hotels offering the same high standard, probably because of the decentred location. However, Friends Colony is a residential and quiet area, which is ideal to relax after a day of sightseeing in the confusion of the city and it is considered one of the best parts in the city. I realize that it is better to travel by car or tuktuk and that many tourists do so, but I would like to say that the hotel is very conveniently located near Ashram bus stop where a lot of lines, among which 405, will take you directly to the best attractions in Delhi and that there is also a planned metro station (currently under construction), just to have an impression of Delhi public transportation and daily life. The hotel itself has a terrace and a garden in which is possible to enjoy calm and relaxation, not to mention the high-level SPA. The rooms are very well equipped, but what I mostly appreciated is the kind and professional service of all the staff, in particular those working at the reception and the restaurant (separately reviewed): for example, our last day, although we had already checked out, they allowed us using the SPA and the garden while waiting our dinner and the taxi to the airport in the evening. The hotel is mainly known for the restaurant (Indian Accent), which surely is an excellency, but the hospitality itself is as great as the food and, should I come back, I surely will choose it again.
My husband and I arrived at The Manor Hotel after a long drive. Prior to our arrival we experienced acouple of frustrating issues with our tour company. The Manor Hotel was the perfect place to recover. We were welcomed by staff who sensed our fatigue and offered us juice, beer and a lovely room. The Manor is a small property with a restful garden, nooks for reading and a fabulous restaurant. It is recommended that you book dinner reservations here well before you arrive as it is deservedly quite popular. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is great for walking. The hotel is also located close to many of the places you may want to visit while in Delhi.
Recommended by our travel agent this a quiet hotel in a frenetic city. In a quiet road away from the general hubbub. Excellent room, well appointed and all creature comforts. Very good location as long as you have a driver (more common than attempting to drive anywhere in India. Very easy drive to places of interest
This was my second visit to The Manor. I just had to take my husband to the restaurant where we had been blown away by the food last year. The hotel is charming and in an attractive quiet area of Delhi. The rooms and public areas are modern and very tastefully furnished. All beautifully clean as well. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight of this hotel is the restaurant - Indian Accent. It is not cheap, but the food is something else! We had the tasting menu - around 8 courses ( we lost count). Each small course was our new favourite. I cannot recommend it enough. The food was a complete variety ( with a choice of vegetarian or non vegetarian) with the hint of Indian spices. Hence the name! I found this to be the perfect place to stay upon arrival in India. It was lovely to recover from the flight in a comfortable welcoming hotel before launching off on our travels.
Very accommodating boutique hotel with an excellent, but expensive restaurant. It was a bit noisy in the small garden but the room was well insulated. The location is very private but a significant way from Delhi
Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of New Delhi. Restaurant excellent food & service with special evening tasting menu. Spa has a pool with a water jet to swim against. Not within easy walking distance of sights but for the novice a guide and taxi are essential anyway
After flying through the night then navigating the crazy traffic from the airport, we found The Manor provided an oasis of calm and tranquility. This is an ideal spot to stay for a night or two while you get acclimatised to being in India. It is slightly tucked away and easiest to get to with a driver. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our room (I think it was no. 6) was upstairs and away from noise of traffic and the local railway station. To access it you pass through a lovely roof garden and we sat out there in the evenings. If having wifi is important to you then the roof garden had a good signal, but no signal in the room. The room, while lovely, was pretty standard hotel decor etc. Very dark, but we only really used it to sleep as we were out and about in daylight hours. Really super shower. There is a pretty garden that gets the sun and it was lovely to sit out there with tea. The hotel also has a spa. My husband had a massage and said it was very good. We stayed for 2 nights and for the first night we ate in their restaurant, Indian Accent, which was great. The second night we had room service. Absolutely delicious dhal and rice. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a good place to stay, but stress that having a driver is the best way in this area.
