The hotel was a good hotel, but to my opinion, this hotel does not have the DNA of a Kempinski hotel. It is difficult to explain in words what a mean, it is more like a feeling. I try to explain: other Kempinski's I visited, they really do a lot of efforts for the guests fe in Austria they make every day a news paper, you can find it at the breakfast table, only 1 page but very interesting or in Berlin they suprise you continously with little presents (not expensive, just little things that make you happy), fe if the breakfast close, they give you a berliner cook as a present... We have a black status, even here we didn't feel a difference: normally you can choose the newspaper, they didn't even ask, normally you can choose between the local amenities, we couldn't, we even had to ask for it (and it seems it was something that everybody had, not something special - which in other Kempinksi they really make a difference), the bill was not correct, they forgot the 15% on food and drinks (we ate and drink a whole weekend in the hotel, so it makes a difference)... Don't understand me wrong, it was a good hotel, but at my feeling not a real Kempinksi. The reception and bar were posh but the further away you get from the bar, the more sad i became because of the corridors who were old, bald, the inside gardens were out of date, it felt like a sport complex! At the outside you have at the back these orange, brown panels at the building, it really felt like the 80-thies. This was absoluty not up to date. The room was modern but small, so we complaint at the reception and they offered us a junior suite for 50 euros a night extra. So the problem was solved, these rooms were bigger but still not Kempinski minded, because of the grey tones (Kempinski is brown, cosy not cold). But when we came home, we saw at the internet that the junior suites always have a view at the lake, but with us it was at the street :-( (it was room 375) So to me a good hotel with people who care but still who don't have the Kempinski DNA. If you are not looking for this DNA, it's a perfect hotel, but we are fan of this branch and they disappointed us a bit. The location of the hotel is ok if you are looking for nature, the city is like 15 minutes away by car. We ate at the esstisch, it was very cosy and very good! We also called roomservice twice, even here, we saw a difference between two days, once it was with bread, the other time not, or the plates on which the food was served were dated, that was a pitty. The breakfast was wonderfull!!!! The location in the front and the buffet!
Visited the restaurant for Sunday brunch during the weekend of my girlfriend's birthday. Firstly, you must book in advance as this event seems to be sold out every Sunday an it appeared they were having to turn away hotel residents. Suggest to arrive just before 12:00 and enjoy a glass of sekt before being seated. Buffet opens around 12:15 until 15:00 and is definitely one of the best buffets I have come across in 4-5 star hotels worldwide in recent years. Staff are extremely friendly and effective, nothing too much trouble. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.
I was really surprised when I saw the hotel. It is a beautiful luxury hotel with spa situated a little bit outside of Frankfurt surrounded by nature. Is suitable for both tourists or business people visiting Frankfurt as well for people living in Frankfurt or its surroundings. A perfect escape for a weekend with an excellent service and friendly staff.
As usual and as in every Kempinski Hotel the service is unbeatable! Wonderful room and excellent Concierge-Service. Any time!! The bar is nice and cosy. Good drinks and food. SPA completely renovated! NICE!
Everything in this hotel was great, the only issue was with the location, if you came to explore Frankfurt. This is not the hotel for that. But if you want an escape to relax and enjoy the countryside. This hotel would be outstanding for just that.
Luxury lounge, large and very well equipped room with a view over the lake, fabulous spa / pool / wellness area. Delicious and assorted breakfast. Location works if you arrive by car. We would like to specifically thank Magdalena S. at the front desk for highly empathic and informative check-in that can make a difference, and Alexander B. for swiftly resolving a problem with TV remote control even during night hours. Thank you for making our stay lovely and memorable!
stayed in here for close to a week during March. Great hotel, very well appointed spacious rooms, superbly trained staff right down to housekeeping who took away my ironing returning in an hour. The hotel is huge, almost like a country estate. Great place
The hotel is great. Lovely rooms, amazing surroundings, great restaurant, and a very good staff especially at the breakfast. There are two things I am a bit disappoint. An iron machine and a board is missed and the front office could be better in therms of invoicing and communication. In general It was very "gemütlich" Thanks for all your efforts.
Stayed at this hotel recently during a business trip. Very nice, clean hotel about 10km from central Frankfurt. Rooms are a little on the small side but very clean. The hotel is near a small wald (forest) so there is great hiking nearby. Rooms are quiet and service was excellent while I stayed there.
It is a Kempinski. Need I say more?Everything from the rooms to the facilities were top notch. Lovely spa, small gym. The food at Ess Tisch was wonderful as breakfast and lunches go. Minor peeve: wifi service needs a few more extenders. Quite a few blind spots. Ok. You come here for the hotel. The location .... let's just say you should be satisfied staying in the hotel unless you drive. I guess that was the idea for a short conference. Helps you concentrate
