Sheraton Needham Hotel

Overall stay was ok. There was a problem with the shower hot water. There was a lengthy delay in the water getting hot.

I was surprised how comfortable the bed was. Super convenient location. I balked at all the extras as I checked in and the clerk cut me slack. You only get a room at the quoted rate. Everything else piles on, turning a great rate into quite a deceptive and expensive deal.

parking garage awkwardly located 50 yards from hotel entrance, check in clerk barely made eye contact, mumbled directions up one flight, then down a poorly signed corridor featuring a number of breakout rooms to the end of another corridor and finally into a dismal room with tired decor and barely vacuumed carpeting. This aged conference facility charged for everything except the flimsy towels and the air in the room.

My wife and I wanted to book an overnight stay near Boston for a race the next day at Fenway, so while searching we stumbled upon the Sheraton. From the pictures it looked really nice and comfortable, and it being the cheapest rate in the area, we figured why not. When we pulled up, the hotel exterior looked exactly like the pictures which made us very happy, but then things went downhill. First off, parking is $12 per night. Never experienced a hotel where you had to pay for parking so that was a shock. Checked in quickly and the staff was friendly (that's always a plus). Then we headed to our room. Nice looking room, but the bed was like laying on a wood plank, and the pillows were giant puffs of air that instantly flattened to nothing. Then there is the fact that when people are talking in the halls, you feel like they are inside your room with you. And lastly, you hear the neighboring bathroom facilities pretty darn clearly, so when someone flushes a toilet, you hear it.

We had a good stay here. Everything look and felt (tactile-wise) very clean. The amenities were good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The couple of small things to be aware though... The room is fairly quiet (couldn't hear hall noises and few outside noises). However, the low-flow toilet sounds like a bomb is going off in the bathroom, even when you are outside of it. Woke me up when my oldest went to the bathroom at night. Love that it's low-flow, but I've heard way quieter ones. Something to watch for if you are staying with someone who uses the bathroom a lot at night. You also have to pay for parking--$12 a night. I think the parking should be free at a hotel of this level particularly since it is not in the middle of a bustling area.

Easy to get to from I95 exit. Clean and very friendly staff. Very good amenities.

Overall its a very nice property. Not too far from downtown Boston - about a 15 minute drive.

The hotel was amazing. The most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept on, simply amazing. The only downside to the hotel is you have to pay for parking.

Hotel was OK, except that when I went to the dining area to get my paid-for breakfast, I was told that our online travel agent did not transmit anything to the hotel about breakfast, or about use of the executive club area, where a breakfast would have been available. I don't know if the fault was with our online travel agent or with the hotel.

Recently updated, rooms are clean and comfortable. I'd stay here again.

Recently renovated and really nice rooms. Love the bar area as well. I would stay here again.

Desk staff was weird and unfriendly. The parking situation is inconvenient and expensive, as there is a separate garage down a hill that they charge guests $12 a day for. Service staff was fine. Ice machine room has no vending machine, so if you want a soda you have to go down to the shop at the front desk. The room and room features are nice and the beds were quite comfortable. Breakfast is really expensive for what you get.

Thumb up!! All facilities and the room were clean and cozy. Staff also friendly and helpful. There is Starbucks inside of the hotel, even in the suite Starbucks coffee is provided, so no need to go get coffee from outside. For parking, $10 per day.

Room was nice as was pool and exercise center. Convenient to Boston College area.

Location was great, right off of I-95S and close to Boston (15-20min) without paying the Boston premium for hotel rooms. Parking was next to hotel although the walkway didn't really exist (hard pushing a baby stroller trying to avoid cars coming in). Lobby very nice. Rooms great. Close to restaurants in Newton and Needham (hotel is actually on Newton side of I-95 eventhough its in "Needham".

This was my 2nd time staying here and both have been good visits. The only real problem I have is the charging for the internet unless you want to go sit in the lobby. We were visiting my daughter in Chestnut Hill, this hotel is less than 5 miles from her college so it's great. Easy access to the major roads. They say they charge for parking but the bar was up on the exit all weekend and there are no tickets at the entrance to the garage. Limited free spaces out front of hotel. We will stay here again.

For the "arm and leg" they change, the value of stay needs to improve; you pay for EVERYTHING: internet, parking, phone (even local calls), breakfast...

Not our first time here but it is always a consistent place to stay. Very clean, quiet and not a bad distance into Boston. Went to Fenway and North End both within a 30 minute ride. I was stunned to see that theyy now have a $10 per nite parking fee. Never saw that coming especially from a suburban hotel. There was no way to police it because the ticket machine into the garage was dismantled so if I lied and said I didn't have a car I would have saved $20.

This hotel has nice pool and fitness room. I was stay for business trip so room was nice, and nice staff. Only add pay for parking and internet.

The staff was great. They know the area really well. Anytime I called they called by my name and answered questions that I had. Room was always clean. (Glad I know Spanish) and she was very nice) I will recommend.
