This was such a lovely hotel to stay in. We were out of season really and for some of the week, the only guests there. The breakfasts were plentiful, the welcome by Stavros and his mum was so warm, and the room beautiful. The hotel was situated about 10 mins walk from the city centre so perfectly easy to access everything. There was a bakery across the road and a supermarket very near by. They organised great car hire for us. Altogether, one of the best stays in Greece we have had. ( Do check the pool is open if you book, it wasn’t for us as the weather had only just begun to warm up.) Thankyou to the whole family for making us feel so welcome.
We had 3 nights in anatoli hotel during our stay in Naxos. The hotel is clean and seems quite new to us. It is located a bit far (15 minutes walk in a quiet residential area) from Naxos Hora. There is parking area in front of the hotel. The staff is very friendly: We were welcomed with a fruit juice. There is a laundry service (10€ per bag) in the hotel: Very convenient. WiFi does't work every time, I had to switch between SSID's sometimes. I did not like in the hotel the strong smell of humidity in the bathroom of the room, and the proximity with neighbors on our balcony (They basically can watch us). I did not like cheap quality of the breakfast: The coffee was very light, the orange juice tasted like medication, finally the milk seemed outdated. We didn't ate the other products. The swimming pool seemed ok but we did not tried it.
Was pleasantly surprised with this family run business. From the family dog Miguel that always greets us, to Bapou who is always sat there in smiling at everyone, to yaya who is so very sweet. Maria is a credit to this family run business and is really the heart of the entire place. Also run by Stavros her son and his girlfriend and a small team its the people that really make this hotel welcoming. No it wasnt the five star hotel that I was used to but they made us feel so welcome during this stay and you cannot buy heart and charm. Breakfast was delicious and lots of variety. In house Laundry service was €10 a bag (must be same colours to wash together) Wi -Fi was weak at times in our room but think that is a Greek thing as opposed to a hotel thing, we are just used to it being faster. The wifi in the reception and the lounge area was much better. Swimming pool area was LOVELY, clean plenty of sun beds - bring your own towels or use the towels from your bedroom. Stavoros kindly collected us from the ferry port. Hotel is 10 mins walk to the centre of town, wasnt too far at all. The gym equipment was a bit dated and I was a little scared if it was safe to use...not sure about safety checks in Greece regulations etc but I used it and was fine however thought I was going to put a hole through the running machine when I ran.
I booked this hotel because of the many glowing reviews, but what I found was very different from what I expected. The location is too far from town to allow a guest without a car to walk. In addition, there are no restaurants near the hotel. This meant many taxi rides into Naxos Town. I arrived at noon, but was kept waiting in the lobby until 2 PM to check in. The desk staff was indifferent, and did little to make me feel welcome. The room was painted boardinghouse green, with tiny, flame-shaped light bulbs; reading in the room was impossible. The bathroom was average--in fact, everything was pretty much average. The swimming pool was the only "wow" attraction; unfortunately, the weather was inclement, and so I couldn't go swimming. In sum, not the worst hotel experience, but certainly less than I wanted or expected.
Party of 3 adults spending five nights in Naxos. We had a 2 bedroom (room) with large bathroom, and balcony, room 139. Perfect for us. Very clean, good quality towels, bedding changed in the time we stayed. Stavros was very helpful, pointing out decent restaurants, bus stops, beaches and places of interest. In fact all the staff were helpful, nothing too much trouble. We hired a car from reception and it was cheaper than going direct with the car rentals in the town. Breakfast was enjoyable, lots of choice and enough to keep you going til dinner time. Lovely pool area, very private and a real sun trap. About 10 mins walk into the heart of the old town. Only negative I had, not enough storage for hanging clothes in the room we had but apart from that we had a brilliant stay and would not hesitate recommending people to stay here.
Just returned from our second stay at the Hotel Anatoli, the first stay having been 12 years ago. Not much has changed at the hotel, it remains a lovely, charming, family run guest house. The fact that the hotel is out of the main part of town, adds to the charm, as it allows you to see local naxon life and visit some of the local bars and restaurants. It is an easy walk to the beach and harbour. The hotel is beautifully maintained, the rooms are perfect, with everything you need and the pool and gardens are also lovely. There is a plentiful breakfast served, with a real assortment of products. The owners are really friendly and Stavros was there to meet us at the ferry port and also gave us a lift to the port when our ferry was leaving. We hope to return again some time.
It was the second time I have stayed in this charming family run hotel in the last seven months. This time I was accompanied by a group of friends who all liked it just as much as I did. Whilst I was treated as a returning friend, in itself amazing, as I had only stayed there for three days last October, my friends were made to feel just as welcome. Maria and her son Stavros are the most welcoming of hosts, and nothing is too much trouble. The pool and garden areas are beautiful, very clean and well maintained, as are the rooms (with modern well equipped bathrooms), which all have balconies or verandas with either garden, pool (or both) , views. The hotel is a little walk out of town, in a residential district, but this is great as there are supermarkets and bakeries very close by and the walk into town or to Agios Yiorgos beach is only around ten minutes. Lazier people than me took taxis which were easily available. Breakfast was good enough to make sure I got up in time not to miss it which is unusual for someone who normally works late like me, and meant I got to spend a few hours each day lazing around the pool before heading out to explore the rest of what Naxos has to offer. I will be back in October. Which in itself , I think says enough.
I stayed at this hotel with family in August and from the minute we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is run by Maria and her son Stavros, who came and picked us up from the ferry and their beautiful dog Miguel is always wandering about the hotel. The rooms were big, clean and more importantly the shower didn't leak all over the floor which is definitely a first for any Greek hotel I've ever stayed in! There is a small pool with a few sunbeds dotted about but we never had an issue getting a spot as it was very quiet. There was a wide choice for breakfast: cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, cake and fresh juices, tea and coffee. All of which can be enjoyed sat outside in the sunshine under the trees. The hotel is about a ten minute walk into town and Naxos Town is fantastic. There is something for everyone, beautiful restaurants, lots of shops and little bars to spend the night. The old town is well worth a visit, although you may end up losing track of time looking in all of the fantastic shops. The Waffle House ice cream shop is also definitely worth going to - the Naxos cheesecake flavour was amazing! The beach is about a ten minute walk from the hotel and is absolutely beautiful. There are sunbeds dotted around that are owned by the bars, most of which come with small safes to keep your valuables in. The Ippokampas was our favourite due to friendly staff and good food but there are plenty to choose from. The sea is beautifully clear and has a gradual dip into the water so perfect for children. I couldn't rate Naxos town any higher. Having been to Greece many, many times before I still always want to return to Naxos and the Anatoli Hotel is the perfect place to stay.
Oh dear. On the way home now. And I don't want to leave. I just had a wonderful three days on Naxos staying at Anatolia Hotel. It's a little off the beaten track, but that's a good thing as you are away from the noise of the town and nearby are many amenities like a great local bakery and a mini market. Anyway it's only 10 minutes walk from the old town, St George Beach, and the port, but the owners will drive you to and from the port. The rooms are very comfortable with air con , fridge, flat screen satellite TV, modern bathrooms with great showers, and even hairdryers. Mine had a view of the garden, swimming pool, which is great, and in the distance, the castle of Naxos. Everything was spotlessly clean and kept so on a daily basis. The owners Maria and her son Stavros have created a very special place, one to which next time I am in Naxos, I will certainly return. Don't be expecting 5 star, yes Sir, no Sir service. This a friendly, relaxed and very welcoming family run hotel, and very good value for the rates charged. I paid less than what was quoted on a certain booking site just by calling direct and that way all the money went to them. Worth thinking about..... Also they have a very friendly Labrador .. Miguel who sings if you scratch his back.
This is an excellent hotel run by a very friendly and helpful family. We were picked up from the ferry port and dropped back at the port after our 6 night stay. The hotel is set back from the main tourist area, maybe a 10-15 min walk from the port and beach, but this was certainly not a problem. Excellent room and modern ensuite bathroom and a small balcony which overlooked the pool and garden. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice. Good value for money and would highly recommend.
