The price is unbeatable and the service is magnificent... and although the rooms are perfectly fine, the feeling is that this hotel has seen its best days past and will soon be in need of renovations. Having said that, it delivers what it promises and the breakfast buffet is bountiful.
Our travel agent and trip advisor, Indochina Voyages, booked us into the Khmer Angkor Hotel for our three-night stay in Siem Reap. A large hotel, the Khemara Angkor was mostly empty during our off-season visit so it felt very quiet. This was something of a blessing following long hot days sightseeing. Breakfast was good and overlooked the pool. The separate spa facility proved a welcome place to refresh following our final-day of sightseeing, which meant we returned after check-out time and the hotel was happy to hold our bags until our 5pm flight. All in all a pleasant hotel just a $3 tuk-tuk ride from the heart of Siem Reap, the night market and the city's bustling pub scene.
I popped to Cambodia for the first time during Songkran with some workmates from Kuala Lumpur. I booked this hotel very last minute and (I assume) because of the New Year there were very few (inexpensive) hotel rooms left in the city. The hotel is old (shower in bath kind of style) but the rooms are clean and the staff are so sweet. Pool and breakfast are nothing to sing about - but I was very happy with it. The hotel is on a main highway and easy to navigate to the markets if you're up for a (hot sweaty) walk - if not a tuk tuk will get you there pretty cheaply. It's a good location if you want to be a little bit away from all the noise and commotion of the pub/tourist area especially at night time. Tip: Most Cambodians speak limited English and won't recognise a specific place you might want to visit verbally - I found it easier to direct via google maps.
First time, i will sag thank you to the complete hotel team. The welcome was amazing. The hotel staff is friendly and makes hospitality great. The rooms are very clean and huge. The kitchen team knows his job and the breakfast is very tasty. Every day serving fresh and new items to the breakfast. How ever we are in cambodia, special in siem reap we will come back to this hotel.
I certainly wouldn't rate this hotel a 4 star or call it deluxe. It is an average hotel but the staff were very nice. The breakfast buffet was average except for the soup. OMG. The Pho soup was delicious. I am still thinking about it. I discovered it the second day we were there and I am now a convert to "soup for breakfast".
This hotel is an average 4*hotel with an average breakfast and service. Near to the airport about 20 minutes and to the Night Market about 7 minutes by Tuk Tuk. It's clean but in some parts of equipment it should by choose a more modern technical and stylish equipment.
I stayed here with my family for 5days and4nights. Good stay and cozy. They provide good family room. The buffet breakfast is delicious 🍩🍭🍬🍫.the amenities are First Class. The rooms are clean and smells good. They have restaurant in the hotel we went for dinner. The foods are scrumptious and good
The Khemara Angkor Hotel take place on a Highways with a lot of traffic. Distance to Downtown is 3-4km with out pick up service or motorcycle out of scope. Rooms are clean and with a lot of space. Most of the guest are Asian. Breakfast ist a mixture of european and asian food. WiFi at the Lobby is stable, but at your room is a nightmare.
Not too busy hotel in early of October. We had a hotel room with king size bed. It was very clean and modern room. All were very good except the room's free WIFI only allowed one device to access, I guessed. Because my other device could not be logged in though tried many times. However, its lobby's and restaurant's WIFI were very good. We had tried restaurant Thai style sweet and sour chicken with steam rice and other dishes which were delicious and relevant with the price paid. The tuk tuk was USD3 one trip to Pub Street, which were a few in front of the hotel. All of the staff we met in the hotel were friendly and polite. The breakfast has a variety of food, but only delicious for me were Khmer soup noodle and eggs station's omelette.
Our 3 night stay here was part of a tour. As we arrived at 9pm it appeared to be away from things. With the often stifling heat during the non-rainy season it would not be comfortable to walk to where most of the restaurants are, fortunately, the tuk-tuks and accommodate 4 people and cost only a few USD to get to places. Our hotel room was too dim for our liking and their use of wood furniture and closet also made the room dark. The room was good-sized and ours faced east and was near the end of a long, long hall on the 3rd floor. We had a weird experience in that they changed the door lock to our room while we were away one day so our key cards, obviously, would not work. The front desk was a bit baffled by this and we could see that different rooms had the old or new door locks. Overall the front desk was helpful and they can assist you in making dinner reservations. The included breakfast we found to be very nice. There was 3 outside stations for eggs, noodles and Khmer food. Inside the variety changed daily and there were some very good Asian offerings. Did not use the pool though it did look inviting.
