Probably, that’s the best hotel in Natal nowadays. All the bedrooms have view to the ocean, the staff is polite and everybody is always ready to help. In the morning, they have lots of activities in the main swimming pool, but in the afternoon, the best option is to go to a heated swimming poll in the south side of the hotel. The breakfast is included in the daily rate. Don’t forget to ask, in the breakfast, a “tapioca”, it’s really good.
I went there for a conference at the end of the year. The conference rooms were comfortable and had great light. The only problem was the internet that did not work very well. The food at the main restaurant (buffet) was very good, but the bar did not have many options. The kids recreation was very good. They had activities all day and the instructors were very patient and nice with the kids. Overall it is a good hotel for business.
The hotel is one of the best in Natal. Good location and safe. The rooms could use some maintenance though. Our room was missing door trim and the floor needed mopping. Love the pools and kids activities!
Very good hotel for a stay in Natal. You can go to both the north and south beaches from here. The beach in front of the hotel is also excellent. Make sure you know when the high tide comes, because the beach will be inaccessible for a few hours at high tide. When the tide is low the beach is lovely, as good as any other we saw in Natal other than Madeiro beach at Pipa which is a beach you cannot miss. The hotel pool is also great, and the service is excellent. People are so nice in Natal! The breakfast buffet is also first notch, you can eat typical local foods such as Cuscuz, Tapioca, and a first rate boiled Yucca which you should try. The negative is that many of the rooms in the hotel are not good. We had to look at four different rooms before we found one that we liked. Some rooms smelled moldy, others faced the restaurant and smelled like used fat. Others face the highway and the truck delivery entrance, and were very noisy. My advice is to make sure you get a room that faces the ocean, even if it is more expensive. We did so in the end and had a 5-star stay. No smells, great views and great sleep. If you don't, you may end up with a 2-star room. The food at the hotel other than the breakfast is also not great, I recommend going to Ponta Negra for dinner. There are several great places to eat, a 5-minute drive away. A shout out to the concierge that helped us organize our trip! Make sure you do the buggy tour to the north beaches, lakes and dunes. And make sure you go to Pipa. Madeiro beach is one of the best I have been in my life. Great beginner surfing too. Natal is definitely worth it and we would stay at Serhs again, as long as the room faces the ocean!
Amazing staff extremely polite and cordial. The food was very good and had a nice variety. We loved the view, the location close to Ponta Negra beach and the pool area. Great view for the fireworks during New Year's celebration. We were somewhat disappointed with the several empty beer/soft drinks cans left in the pool area and the Wi-Fi was very poor. For the price we paid, we did expect more.
this is a 5 star hotel. They have the best swimming pools ever! Restaurants are 5 stars. The inclusive breakfast is terrific! You have so many choices that sometimes it makes English and Spanish. I am Brazilian, and I was very impressed with the level of customer service and lodging. I would definitely recommend it to all foreign visitors!
Serhs is a good hotel, but not a 5 star one. The views are beautiful, it has good food options (the free breakfast is very good!) and it is clean. However, there are small unpleasant details like pool umbrellas not opening, or cushions on the pool chairs in bad condition and bad internet connection. Some of the employees are extremely nice, especially Japan, the guy that makes "tapiocas" at breakfast time. He is one of the happiest and nicest people we have ever met! Overall Serhs is a good hotel but, if you are driving a car, be careful when you are on Via Costeira, the road where the hotel is located. A lot of locals warned us about robbers trying to stop peoples cars over there.
was met in reception by willian, lovely person, spoke with leonardo and he said it was ok to enter and drink/eat by the pool, maxwell and jefferson were taking care of me at the poolside, was a great day, not over priced and great service, yes i would go back as it was a wonderful experience
I'm giving this hotel 4 stars instead of 3 due to the amazing views. But beyond the views and location this is not a 4-star hotel. Certainly not 5. My main gripe is the overall upkeep & cleanliness of the property. It's not falling apart or filthy but the detailing is not there. As for service, The staff is friendly and eager to please but very few aside from the front desk speak any English. We stayed in one of the penthouse suites which was fine. A little dark and not as clean as I expected... shower door was grimy, bathroom mirror was spotted, just details in general. The included buffet breakfast was delicious but the dinner buffet was a disappointment so we went a la carte after that. I expected there to be more nightlife but that was scarce. A piano & bass played in the lobby bar which was nice but few people enjoyed. Overall a nice hotel but I wouldn't travel far just to stay here.
We came to Sehrs Natal Grand Hotel for the 7th of September 2017 holiday. I am Brazilian, but not really a big Northeast of Brazil fan. But as my mother loves Natal, I've decided to give it a chance. The hotel looks like a 5 Star, but service, room and food are for sure a 2 or 3 Star... the staff are very friendly, but they seem not prepared to welcome the guests adequately. As we did the half pension, breakfast and dinner were buffet style, but not the best buffet ever. Lunch, you can not count on having a great seafood feast, as the a lá Carte menu is nothing special. There are a couple of good restaurants at Ponta Negra that you can have a good seafood meal: Camarões Restaurant or Farofa D'gua Restaurant (this one offers free pick up and drop off to the Hotel). The hotel does not change your bed sheets unless you take them out yourself and leave them in the floor. I've called guest services and that is what they told me, I've asked her if she could let the cleaning lady to change my sheets and she told me that she could not and that I had to do it myself, and leave the sheets on the floor. I've never heard a hotel that make their own guests undo their beds. For all the reasons above, Sehrs Natal Grand Hotel would not be a place I would come back to.
