I would like to rate this hotel as a 0 star ⭐️. When we first arrived the reception wasn't very nice at all. After we check in the room was horrible, my wife and I were sick, as sooner we got in the room, it was smelling so bad like mould, we found heaps of dust in the room and when we complied to the manager he didn't care and didn't like because we requested to change the room. We tried to find the policy to cancel the booking and they ignored us completely. Never said sorry or tried to find a solution. We were both sick and the allergies just got worse with the mould smelling. We also found mould in the walls. Do not go to this hotel it is the worse place to be. Natal has better places with better prices, this hotel is very priced for what you get.
This hotel needs " Big ... BIG ... update" is old ... (in Web looks much better ) familiar environment and unsophisticated location: Reasonable but you need a car (taxi) and no free parking Rooms: Bad beds and bad pillows, satisfactory air conditioning , cleaning and room service is ok The worst: free WiFi is very bad ....no shampoo and/or conditioner... and few plug socket ...
The hotel location is really good, in front of the sea. A lot of swimming pools for every age. The rooms are not bad, but many families were claiming about not having the remote controls for air conditioned and television. In tripadvisor is saying there is free parking and it's not free anymore (R$ 10,00/day). The breakfast is not amazing, but it's not bad. If you want to spend more time in the north region of Natal and the beaches from north region you will be well located close to the new bridge. If you don't know Natal it's recommended to find a tour guide known by your friends. My recommendation is Paulo (Rodrigo Santoro) he is licensed by Embratur, he is very funny and knows a lot of beaches in Natal even the ones which you won't visit with the biggest tour companies. He's contact is (084) 8851-8297, you can contact him through whatsapp or calling him. If you need help in Natal it's good to know someone who knows good places and good food.
This hotel is old and is in urgent need of a complete renovation. Everything is old and run down...roaches and ants in the room! no shampoo and/or conditioner...charging for towels for the pool?? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
Most of the staff have problems with English, but I did not mind it. They free wifi they have there could just stop working any time and wasn't back for minutes, sometimes hours - which was both frustrating and disappointing. They have a good system with putting your bills on the room, so you don't need to walk around the hotel with cash. You can rent a car on site. The hotel has a direct access to the beach, but they close it for the night so each time I wanted to be at the beach after a sunset I had to walk around the hotel; doing it the hotel's security guys were always discretely watching me - I guess they were concerned about my safety, but it was all fine. The hotel isn't in a walking distance from anywhere - if you don't have a car, you need to take a bus or a taxi to get out or in. I've enjoyed my time there.
This hotel represents itself as a 4 star hotel; however it is not even a 1 star hotel. The staff is very nice and polite, but the facilities are deficient and poor. Rooms need to be upgraded. Old metal safety deposit box, without a key, and when you are provided a key, it doesn't work! No sense of urgency on the part of management. They don't provide shampoo or conditioner, unlike any other hotel, or motel, in the world. Ants and roaches in the room! It was disgusting! Disgusting was also the $5 Reais ($2.50 USD) charge for each beach or pool towel, when every place else they are provided for free. Highway robbery! No pool service and good luck getting a waiter's attention. This hotel, unless it does a 180 degree change, in pleasing the guest, won't have a chance to attract any foreign or even local demanding tourists! I will never go back to that dump or recommend it to anyone, for that matter.
First off, if you are a traveler from any "First World" country, you must temper your expectations a little bit when you come to Natal. Don't get me wrong, this place isn't a dump, but it's also not comparative to a 4-star stay in the USA or London. I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks during the 2014 World Cup. The rooms were outdated but clean, and the hotel staff were very friendly. Most of the staff are Portuguese-speaking only, but there seemed to have been at least 1 or 2 staff members each shift would could speak decent English. The shower had really strong water pressure! The breakfast buffet each morning was robust and appealed to my american taste. This hotel sits right on the coast, and the views of the ocean were unbeatable. The beach was also very clean. I would stay here again!
We booked this hotel well in advance of our stay but unfortunately about a couple of months later we were advised that the booking could not be processed due to a system error. We checked online and they had increased the prices but the room was still available. They had though taken the money from our card and we were only able to refund this through the credit card company as the hotel would not reply to any form of contact. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the quality of the hotel.
I stayed here with 400+ other people from the American Outlaws group during the 2014 World Cup. First, any hotel would have a difficult time checking in 200+ people at one time, add on spotty Internet & it doesn't make it easy. The front desk people were very nice in spite of the task in front of them. The rooms are not all that great, a bit damp, run down, but the view was great. At least some have great views! They really need to change their sheets & towels, they were a bit thread bare! The housekeeping staff was very nice. The beds were really hard. I'm not sure if the rooms are always that damp or it was the fact that it rained a few days we were there, but your clothes always felt damp. They have a little fridge in the room, beware they do charge for the water, they just don't tell you till checkout. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, fresh eggs & fruits, meats & desserts. Coffee could be stronger. Lunch & dinners not too great. Hotel is far from the center of town or beach so cabs or rental is needed. The taxi's did not gouge even during the World Cup(or I'm from NY & it didn't faze me). They have some really nice areas of the hotel that they should work on, like the bar. They really need to put some nice chairs, AC & food in there. Overall it was a nice place to stay. 3 stars by USA standards.
I stayed at Parque da Costeira for five nights during the 2014 World Cup. First off--A Brazilian four star is just that, a very nice hotel by Brazilian standards. In the end, it was a nice place--Ghanian government and FIFA officials also stayed here since it was secluded and thus easier to secure--but I would stay in Ponta Negra in Natal if I returned so I could walk to beaches and restaurants instead of having to plan day excursions out of this secluded resort, a 15 minute taxi ride away from restaurants and beaches. First off, you must adjust your expectations to Brazil--almost nothing works 100%, every transaction takes work, things get done very slowly, and you will need to bring a Brazilian Portuguese phrasebook to Natal since very few people speak English. Once you do adjust, you are fine with it all since Brazil and its people are magical and special, but it takes an adjustment for service expectations. Check-in was unique and total chaos with over 100 people in line to check-in due to arrival of a USA American Outlaw charter flight. Several people were coming back to registration desk after being sent twice to rooms that were already occupied. Lobby and registration desk are nice, as are the eating spaces. Wifi works sporadically and very slow. My check-in was easy, and I got a great ocean view room literally 40 yards from the waves. Room is spartan with cover sheets worn out, but again, it's a great by Brazilian standards--wifi only worked for me near the door in the room but they had a wifi lounge two floors up with windows overlooking the beach. A hummingbird lived in the bush by my window. I only had hot water, no cold, so showers were sweaty endeavors. Small refrigerator in room, and I went to a grocery store in Ponta Negra to stock up on water, drinks, and room snacks since hotel charges high prices for these items. Room was cleaned well every day. Breakfast buffet was awesome with fruits, fruit juices, and eggs/meats. The deck with glass windscreens overlooking the beach was a great place to eat every morning. I will miss Brazil since I ate real food the whole time, not the weird processed food that passes for meals in the USA. I lost 10 pounds in 13 days eating the freshest fruits/vegetables/seafood in my life. Beach at the resort has a line of horrible rocks about 10 yards out at high tide, so it is a pain to get past them to the waves. I took lots of taxis to beaches and restaurants all around Natal instead. Prepare to spend $40 US on taxi trips each day.
