The hotel location and facilities were good, and being pet friendly was a big plus. Lee at the front desk was also excellent. The problems started, however, when we checked into our room. The sheets were dirty and had hairs from someone else on them. We had already unpacked and did not want to change rooms so we requested a replacement set of sheets. Lee was happy to do so, and we changed our sheets. On the third day and last day of our stay, the thermostat started to malfunction, and the temperature increased to 75 degrees F in our room. We lowered the temp, and thought it was okay. However, when we returned to the room almost 6 hours later the temperature had risen to 90 degrees F (as indicated on the digital thermostat). Our dog was frantic when we opened the door, and we could not seem to get the temperature to drop fast enough. We were very concerned about the health of our dog. Lee offered us another room, but we decided to leave and go home instead since it was our last day at the hotel and we would have had to pack up all of our things anyway. The hotel did agree to credit us one night.

Not a good stay this time. We reserved a full suite and when we arrived they said they could not give us that room but would give us a studio suite. We always get the regular suite because of the separate bedroom. This room was much smaller, the bathroom was much smaller. Not to our liking. We felt cramped. Why do you give someone a room that they did NOT reserve? We were not happy and I know I will NEVER book through Orbitz again!

The hotel had everything we needed, and we were not paying for extras (meeting rooms, bar, restaurant, big lobby, etc.) that are found in most hotels. Room was very attractive. The space was well planned. It was also very quiet.

Stayed 3 days for business trip. Large 1 bedroom suite, limited housekeeping but this worked out great as I could just leave everything out and come back to how I left the suite.

My mother and I were on a mother/daughter trip visiting Nashville! The things we wanted to see (which included the Ryman, Johnny Cash museum, George Jones museum and much more) were only about a 10 to 15 minute drive from this hotel. Very nice area and the staff was very friendly! The room was wonderful and very accommodating!

The suite was very nice but the bed and pillows were awful. The bed was too soft, creaked and the pillows were not pillows. Soft and lumpy. The AC and refrigerator were so loud it was difficult to sleep. Please spend less on the kitchen and more on the bedding! Staff was great.

This was a very nice place, suited our needs and I'm glad we stayed here. We were just passing through, and I wish the hotels later in our trip could've been more like this Candlewood. We reserved 2 (adjoining) rooms. Candlewood rooms have full kitchens, everything you need for a home away from home. Our 2 rooms were best suited for solo travelers, as each had just 1 bed which was full (or double), and no sofa. We were able to make a bed for the 3rd person by using the chair cushion from each of the 2 rooms. We couldn't arrive until after midnight, so the clerk had left check-in materials for us in a room mailbox. They also have a mini-food-store in the eating area, so we were able to purchase frozen meals, yogurt, fruit, juice, sandwiches, chips, etc. We were able to buy a late dinner from their choices, and add it to the hotel bill. All in all, this hotel was such a relief. Clean, modern, well-stocked. We weren't familiar with the area, and had to use a GPS to find it in the dark it's tucked in off the road a little. But the place is very nice, feels new.

Everything about this place was so awesome that as soon as we checked in we decided to book an additional night. I would have given 5 stars but the beds are the worst. The uncomfortable spring bed sank in the middle. We both had to lay in the fetal position to keep from rolling in to the middle. Change out the beds and you'll have a customer for life!

The hotel was perfect, even though we only stayed one night, we will definitely be back!!

We found our stay at candlewood suites to be very pleasant. The staff were friendly and the room was spacious enough to be enjoyable. The hotel was very laid back. It is usually designed for extended stay so you have to request for your room to be cleaned if you are staying for a short time, but we found that to be a good thing for us because we wanted to sleep in without being bothered. Really nice place for someone who wants a laid back setting in a good location. The only things that could've added to it would be a continental breakfast and a pool.

Very nice, as expected this is a long term residence inn and not a full service hotel. Very spacious, good prices.

Great location, nice staff , but older ,refurbished but had that old funny smell to the rooms.....would not stay again

The entire facaility has been renovated, and the rooms are great. Nice kitchenette with appliances, flat-screen TV, and an easy chair for watching it in. The hotel also has a cupboard with sundries, free washer/dryer, free coffee, video library, and a fitness center. There's alos a gazebo with gas grills for use by the guests. The Suites are located in Maryland Farms, which is a large area of business offices. But, grocery stores and other retail are nearby, plus plenty of dining establishments nearby. It's about 20 minutes to the airport, and about 15 minutes to downtown Nashville. Not close to the attractions, but if you'd like to be in a quiet area, this is nice.

Our first room was a non-smoking room, but it smelled like a a giant cigarette. When we asked to switch rooms, the front desk staff was extremely rude, but finally gave us another room after they had to come and inspect it. The second room smelled better, but was really dirty. There was hair in the bathtub and it looked like it had no been mopped at all. There was a brown sticky substance on the floor, like someone had spilled a soft drink and left it there. The pillows and comforter also had gross stains on there. The only nice thing about the hotel was the gym, but not if your room was across the hall from it. People were going in and out of it all night, and the door slammed every time. WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

Impossible to sleep in my room. The light underneath the microwave in the kitchen would not turn off, the AC was very noisy, and the fridge was also noisy. I got no sleep

My wife and i were staying for New Year's in Nashville. No complaints. Everything was really clean.

This was a very clean and neat hotel. We had never stayed at this hotel chain before and didn't know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and laid out really well. It wasn't the largest suite we had ever stayed in but it was spacious enough for whatever we needed to do in it. This is obviously a business persons hotel as it is in a business district and was a little hard to find so print out your directions and you will have no problems. The pantry store was a nice touch. You fill out a note for whatever you buy and drop it in a box and pay for it when you check out. We will definitely stay here again if the need arises.

The hotel was clean. the beds were very uncomfortable. the facility had the bare minimum available. glad we were only there 3 nights any longer and we would have changed hotels. don't ask the front desk for directions because you may get VERY lost-example to get to the airport i was told to take 65 to knoxsville exit 215 well it doesn't work that way-guess she was too busy on her phone call to provide me with more details. the shower broke had to change rooms - no maintenance staff on the weekends, ice maker did not work and the entire facility is outdated. don't plan on walking anywhere either. very disappointed as we have stayed at this brand in the past.

[...]. We had one large room with one television. My husband is a sports fanatic and that is all he watches. That's why the extra television was important. He compromised though.

Overall, the hotel was great. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the size of the room was perfect for business travel. There were lots of amenities with the hotel, such as a food pantry, fitness center, and laundry room. If you need a cart to carry in your luggage, be prepared to deal with one with a warped wheel that is falling all to pieces. If you are traveling alone, you will find it hard to get the cart from the parking lot to the lobby. The doors are not automatics, which makes it hard to keep the door open and push the cart through at the same time. I had the hardest time finding this hotel. Brentwood is a huge business complex area, and this hotel is a good piece off the main road. Be sure to print directions before you go, so that you don't get lost. Once you find the hotel, you realize quickly how nice it is to be free of the noise of traffic and the interstate. The fitness room was small and lack good equipment. However, if you have a gym membership at some of the larger nationwide facilities, you care just about a mile from the larger chains. Overall, it's a great hotel.

We are most appreciative of your comments and are as disappointed as you over your dissatisfaction with your stay. Our apology is most sincere, and we can only hope that you will again allow us to serve you as our guests when your travels have you back this way. We agree that our guests deserve and expect the room-type of their choice when available, and we are certainly apologetic if a mistake was made in that regard during this particular occasion. Please do allow us further opportunity to again serve you as our guests going forward. We would love that opportunity!

GREAT to read of your experience while our guest, and thank you for that! We are most fortunate to enjoy such a great location and a "quiet, friendly, clean, attractive, safe" lodging solution for travelers who pass through our doors! We are particularly proud of our staff which, as you noted, take every possible initiative towards friendly and helpful attention to our guests! I see you were also visiting while we were upgrading our guest laundry dryer units and, hopefully, you will grace our doors with a future stay with us whereby you can enjoy our complimentary laundry facility when needed. We hope that will be soon!!
