Unfortunately, I had made a mistake in booking my reservation. I guess I clicked on the date a week later than when I showed up. The front desk person couldn't have been more kind or patient with me as I got in touch with Orbitz. I believe her name was Jackie. (Forgive me if that's wrong!) We had the nicest chat while the operator at Orbitz accommodated me. Had I not been so anxious to see what my room was like I could have stayed awhile longer in the lobby exchanging stories with her. I would recommend BentoLiving to anyone looking for an overnight stay, but especially to anyone needing an extended stay in Nashville. Conveniently located to many areas, but also in a very quiet neighborhood. If you're not into sharing a communal space (a well appointed kitchen and laundry area) then this might not be the place for you. But I had the entire "pod" to myself and couldn't have enjoyed my stay more!

The aesthetic and minimalist style of living are absolutely beautiful at BentoLiving. Our room was so great, except for a few things. The kitchen trash was still in our room from previous guests, our view was, to be quite blunt, disgusting. All we could see outside of our windows and outside on the balcony was a giant dumpster and some kind of warehouse. The surrounding area is not very pretty at all even though the website brags about the nice views. When we went out to our balcony, we realized we were actually sharing a very small balcony with another room, and the door leading from the bedroom straight out to the balcony doesn't lock at all, which made me feel slightly unsafe. It was also advertised that the hotel had a restaurant, bar, and market type store downstairs for food to cook in the kitchen. We weren't able to use them because the restaurant and bar weren't built yet, and the little market didn't really have anything to cook. No eggs, no bread, etc. It was kind of odd. We had to drive 20 mins and visit a grocery store instead, go into the city to visit another restaurant/bar, which wasn't really our original plan. Also, the shower has no way of closing so the water ended up covering the bathroom floor. Once the hotel is fully built and the amenities advertised are able to be used, I'd love to visit again. However, I feel a bit ripped off paying $200+ for one night when we couldn't even utilize the things we were paying for. A hefty discount was appropriate.
