Ramada Naples

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel was decent. Great price and acceptable quality. However, the area was terrible. The streets did not feel safe, and the general atmosphere was not friendly to foreign travelers. The front of the hotel had a view of a train yard, a subway stop and a welfare office. Stay in another part of town.

The Ramada was a good experience overall. We wanted to stay near the train station and, although this area is certainly not the prettiest in Naples, we were able to feel safe during the day and evening and we found good places to eat. The Ramada staff were extremely helpful! and the room was "American sized" and super clean. The included breakfast was Ok and very suited to our plans.

The location is 200 yards from the main train station. The rooms are American style with a real bath tub and shower (combine). The breakfast was by far the best we had on a 14 day trip with both hot (eggs, bacon, potatoes) and cold (meat, pastries, cakes) and many kinds of juices and coffees. Staff was extremely helpful and there was a FREE computer to use if you didn't have your own for the FREE WIFI. The room was exceptionally clean but slightly dated. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff is courteous and professional. The room lacks updated amenities but the breakfast, which is included in the price, more than makes up for it.

Quite near the main train station. Modern American style hotel - we needed a break from a crazy hotel in Rome the past 2 nites. Nice breakfast setup, and free internet in the lobby. Very convenient to all of the city's sites, including nearby Pompeii train.

I booked this hotel as somewhere to stay to take a day trip to Pompei and Sorrento. It was so close to the train station it was very convenient. The staff was very welcoming and their chocolate and nutella cake was delicious.

Hotel is located near main train station with fast trains for any destination in Italy. Opposite the hotel you can grab the circumvesuviana trains that will take you to Sorrento and other gulf destinations. The area is not nice and bit scary at night but not really unsafe if you use normal precautions and common sense. Hotel is a good value for price paid. I have been here before and would reccomend it.

While the front desk staff we most friendly, we ended up in a room located in the back, on the same floor as the conference center. It felt like an old storage room with a bathroom, no air condition, stale air, no windows. Also loved being solicited by prostitutes as we were unloading our luggage. I would most certainly avoid this hotel in the future.

The hotel is great, with big comfortable big rooms. As others have reviewed, they are sometimes understaffed. Location is convenient, despite being in a messy neighborhood.

A nice hotel but it's not in a great neighborhood even though it's only a few minutes from the train station. I would definitely look at other hotels in the area that would probably be better value for money.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Hotel was good for one night visit. Room was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood was troublings

The best part of the hotel is it's distance from the Napoli Centrale Train Station...did not have to pay for taxi or hop on a bus. As you enter the hotel it looks like a very luxurious hotel. Staff member who checked us in overwhelmed himself trying to help a lot of guests at the same time and was not very patient. Other staff members at the fron desk were great except for this one. Our room wasn't big nor small, just enough space to move around for 2 adults and 1 small child. Our shower head holder was borken or not correctly installed...we had to hold the short shower head over ourselves everytime we showered. Water stream was very low too. Bathroom only had one toilet paper, usually you find at least 2 in a hotel room. Hotel advertises a private tour company which is ok except for their long waits for the tour guide and driver, so make sure you have enough time. They pick you up and drop you off in front of the hotel. The receptionist can help you make a reservation.

The hotel was located across from the train station which worked really well for us since we wanted to explore the neighboring towns. However, it lacked a pool and the jacuzzi was broken. There was no fitness center neither. Nevertheless, we made the best out of our trip and enjoyed visiting the roman sea ruins at Baia, a day trip to Capri Island, and another to Sorrento and Pompei. The hotel had a great service and the staff was really friendly. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy but nothing scary, we found great food for low prices and the best service ever. If you look for a 5 star location, expect to pay 5 star prices. This location was really great as we went out of our way to experience the local culture by taking small trips and eating in small mom and pop restaurants. Naples reminds me of Athens, really busy but lots of historic buildings, many yet to be discovered.

If I had to stay in Naples this is where I would stay. It was 3 minutes walking from the train station and the Circumvesuviana. The food was decent. The menu changed daily. The staff was informative and friendly. The rooms were what I expected, clean and neat. We enjoyed our stay here. I wouldn't stay in Napes again but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. The staff knew exactly what my son wanted for dinner each night and let us fumble through our limited Italian and helped us along. Breakfast we great. My son enjoyed the desserts for breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel. Its easy to find if you go through the train station!
