I was not going to judge this hotel on the reviews alone but wish i had. Within a minute of placing my bag on the bed there were bugs crawling all over it. All of the draws were full of mould as was the headboard and the surrounding walls. There were bare wires hanging from the walls , mould all over the bathroom and the door to the patio wouldnt lock allowing easy access to our room. There was no working air-con throughout the hotel and the rooms do not look anything like the ones put up by the hotel. but the travellers pictures are a true reflection. Our first day was spent trying to book another hotel as i was not prepared to risk my health staying here.
Oh my gosh!!!!!!! This place was so gross I feel asleep and within an hour I woke up with bed bugs biting me all over my body! They refused to give me my money back after charging me 75 eruro when another app said it was 38!
We had booked Hotel Prati for one night during our stay in Naples and didn't even manage to last the night. We had to leave at 11pm to find another hotel due to the infestation of bedbugs which began to crawl all over the bed. Hotel Prati is falsely advertising the standard of its rooms as they are old and dirty, with ants crawling around the floor. The hotel is also falsely advertising the free wifi, as there is no internet in the building. The staff were mostly rude and unhelpful and refused a refund due to the bedbugs. The bathroom was not very clean either and the mattress heavily sagged. The road outside is extremely noisy and busy if you manage to survive in this hotel for more than a few hours. You get what you pay for with this hotel. Despite its good location close to Garibaldi station, I would avoid it at all costs. It ought to be shut down.
Do not recommend this hotel. After we seen the place left it straight away and booked a room at Air BnB. Not cosy place. The guy at the reception was helpful, but the standard of the hotel is not markable.
If you want an authentic Neopolitan hotel in the centre of town, this is what you get. It's not luxury, but I wouldn't call it a dump. The building is very old and a bit dilapidated but that adds to the charm in a way. The beds were comfortable and location was good. Breakfast wasn't really worth the effort but Italian breakfasts aren't normally very impressive anyway - a coffee and sweet croissant is the norm.
Kind reception, good location near the main railway station and bus terminal, however, the crime level near to to that transport junction is high, for example, I was attacked and robbed in that area about 6 .a.m. You should be extremely cautious!!!
Towels like old tablecloths, patio doors didn't close properly making for very noisy nights. Terrible neighborhood, dodgy characters everywhere. Breakfast! - inedible, outlook from room was a car park with discarded furniture and toilet seats etc. scattered around. Paper thin walls, you can hear every word from adjacent rooms. Avoid this hotel like the plague, it doesn't look anything like the photos on their web site.
Book this hotel just for one night. Last night in Italy. Worst place i have ever stayed. It was so bad that I was scared to take a shower or lie in the bed, towels in bathroom looked like from 1920, everything stinks cigarettes, wallpaper peeling etc. Breakfast - what a joke. 3 days old bread, butter and jam, that is it. This is my hones opinion, stay away from this place as you will be very disappointed.
Stayed one night in this hotel, woke up and there were bugs crawling over the bed- i was and still am covered in bites over my face, neck, arms, hands and hips! The bathroom was a wet room but the water did not drain and there were pubes in the shower. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, EVEN FOR A STOP OVER.
DO NOT BOOK HERE! This hotel is by far the worst place I ever stayed. When we checked in the concierge didn't seem to have any record of our booking, this man was rude and dismissive of us even when presented with documentation that says that a room as booked and paid for. Eventually he found a room for us to stay in. As I first walked into the room I slipped on a puddle, I checked the bathroom to see where the water was coming from and was disgusted to see the state of the bathroom. while my friend and I discussed the room the puddle began to grow. We soon realised that there was a mouldy patch in one corner of the room that was leaking!! We went downstairs to complain and change rooms. This time a new man was at the front desk, he was much nicer but the new room was half the size and the facilities were equally disgusting. We had originally planned to stay two nights so my friend and I could go on a tour to Pompeii, we only stayed one night and left without asking for a refund. On the way out the original concierge tried to charge us 20 euro each for city tax, which I was well aware was much less than that. Very poor customer service on top of a derelict building. Worst experience ever. Next time I want to go to Pompeii I will stay in Sorrento, and I recommend you do the same.
