We were in Naples for a very short business stay and decided to book the Holiday Inn because because of its location. Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice and quiet room. We shall definitely come here again in case of a short stay in town.
So don't go by the pictures. This is pretty much in the worst part of town. We only stayed one night since our flight was very early the next morning, so it was fine for what we needed, but don't think it's a great place. Our AC didn't work and they sent maintenance who actually cut into the ceiling in the bathroom. Several hours later it was still not fixed and they moved us to another room. They were nice enough but just be aware.
We stayed at this hotel for an overnight stop heading to Amalfi Coast That is all is worth. Slow checkin while the staff chit chatting with others Location not so great other than vicinity to the airport and train station Breakfast was decent though.
I stayed here with my son on our recent visit to Naples. The hotel was as I expected, staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location was not great if you plan to stay in Naples for the duration of your holiday as it is in the business district. We arrived on a Saturday morning and all the shops and cafes in the locality were closed apart from one restaurant next door to the hotel. There seemed to be a lot of abandoned / derelict buildings and the vast underground carpark, which is serviced by escalators (all broken and closed) is a little intimidating. Lots of dog poo and graffiti too ! But this is the case throughout Naples !! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the hotel to Central Station where we were able to get trains to Rome and Pompeii. The train we took to Rome was the regional train costing €11.28 one way and taking 2 hrs & 40 mins. When you purchase tickets you have to validate them at the little green machines dotted about the station prior to travel. Once validated your ticket is valid for 4 hours after the time of travel (so if you miss your train you could get another). To go to Pompeii it cost less that €4 each way. I recommend you pay as you go as the sites and attractions are very reasonably priced ...don't be afraid to go it alone, millions do it each day. Travel to & from the airport - taxi cost us €20 but we took the Alibus 81 (pay driver €4) from central station which was only 25 mins. In summary... we were on a tight budget and found everything reasonably priced Inc food and travel. Day trip to Rome €22.50 + €13 (€7.50 18-25 yrs old) Colloseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill. We also took in the Trevi Fountain. Pompeii ruins was overcrowded and closed when we arrived at 11.30 but reopened at 14.00 and we got in for free so this trip cost less than €8 each. We had a fab four days and will definitely return to Italy.
The rooms are very old and average clean generaly hotel is old and very old style and view is very terrible it is not close to city center only one thing is good the hotel workers are polite and gentle
Service at the hotel I though was good, we didn't have breakfast included but we're able to added it in arrival. Very good breakfast spread. Rooms were clean and beds fairly comfy. I did think the hotel bar was expensive but this hotel is in the business district and there isn't much around in terms of restaurants and bars so they can get away with it.
Hotel is good. Room is big and clean. In the room you have mini bar, electric kettle with tea and nescafe. Wifi is very good and free. Location is good and stuff is very helpful. Breakfast is very good.
Pros: Nice big Hotel, Nice Restaurant, helping and warm staff . Cons: Not located in very good locality, basically its behind Naples Railway station and though the railway station is about 15-20 min walk, the area through which u have to walk is not safe (told so by almost every person in Naples we talked about). Though no problem in the daylight but avoid walking after sunset and take a Cab instead which will charge u 13-15 euro from station to hotel
A nice hotel with warm friendly staff. It is conveniently located at 10-15 mins walking distance from Napoli Centrale station. The hotel also provides hourly shuttle for residents between station and hotel. The problem is that only 8 people can go in it and its on first come first served basis. Even a small child is counted as a passenger. During the Easter weekend, they deployed a 20 seater mini bus but that was also not enough. So you really need to come and stand in line 30 mins before bus departure to ensure a seat. Another issue is that they have same...exactly same breakfast on all days. Not even one food item was changed. We stayed there for 5 nights and ended up having excatly same breakfast on all mornings. would suggest a change would be good for customers.
This hotel at first glance appears to be in a very run down area and unattractive, from what is visible from the roadside. It seems to be endless underground car parks! However, above ground it is a business area with many high rise offices and cafeterias for the workers there Monday to Friday. The hotel is okay with 25 floors of rooms looking out over business area. The rooms are standard size, and there is a good restaurant and bar in the hotel. It is the closest hotel to Naples Airport.
