We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to our early morning departure thinking we could get a shuttle ride to the airport. Apparently that's been discontinued and it will cost about 20 Euros to get to the airport. The hotel itself was a real surprise. The location is not great as you would not want to walk around the neighborhood but it's part of a development that feels enclosed and safe. What we realized while looking out from our very nice terrace is that right across the street is an abandoned complex that is inhabited by homeless families. A rather sad contrast to the business complex of which the hotel is a part. Aside from that, the place was perfect for what we needed. Very modern, clean, and nice hotel complete with robes, slippers, and even a Nespresso machine! We had a suite which was very nice with our very own terrace with a table and beautiful 180 degree views. Anyway, a good place to stay for business for sure. Small but nice gym open 24 hours. Restaurant was pretty mediocre and there was nowhere else to go but at least it was convenient.
very good service at hotel front desk was very good and parkinggarage attendant was very polite and courtious plus dining room service excellent waiters and waitresses were very accomodatingwindow outdoor look not to inviting to look at empty yard
We had a very comfortable stay prior to our early morning flight from Naples airport. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite and complimentary parking. A special thank you to Ilaria Z for the great customer service. A great selection of items for breakfast too.
Stayed here only one night to catch an early flight out of Naples. Hotel receptionist was really rude! She demanded I hand her my credit card, even though I had paid in advance. The hotel neighborhood was really bad, it reminded me of downtown Los Angeles. You can't walk out of hotel with your family at all. We were happy when we walked into our room it was nice and large. Unfortunately, my husband woke up the next day with bed bugs all over his leg!! He was in bad pain/itch for over a week. Simply said stay away from this hotel.
When we checked in the man at the front desk was so rude,, we almost walked out, but we had reservations for 3 nights, and thought maybe he was just having a bad day. But another day there was another gentleman that was equally as rude at the front desk. Our room was large and clean with a kind bed, which we were happy about and the AC worked great. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with sliced meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee and juices...I did ask if the scrambled eggs could be cooked more and I was told that I would need to order that separately ala carte and would be additional to the cost which I declined. They do have a shuttle bus from the train station, but when I called the day before I was told to take a cab to the hotel since it was difficult to tell us where to get picked up. We did however take the shuttle after that, back and forth to the hotel with no problems. The( subway) underground trains are an easy way to get to the heart of Naples, without taking a cab which can be costly. this hotel is in an old area, lots of old run down storage type buildings all around. There was a mall area, which was closed the whole time we were there, due to an Italian holiday, but even a lot of those businesses were vacant. We came in one afternoon and my husband was going to order a drink at the bar, but I had ask the bartender ahead of my husband if he could please fill my thermos with ice, since it had been in the 90's and I take my water thermos with me always... he did fill it but said very rudely that ice machines were on certain floors of the hotel, then the bartender turned his back on us and proceeded talking to another man, not even asking if there was anything else he could get for us. My husband was upset and told the bartender that he was a very rude man and that he would not order a drink after all and we walked out of the bar. the bartender looked like he could care less if we ordered a drink or not. There was not a pool at this hotel, so not much for kids to do here, besides run around in the concrete area by the mall, where we saw several young men playing kick ball late in the evening.
Nice swimming pool..spa is available...conference rooms..for meetings..nice comfortable rooms. Good customer service. Very elegant Fireplace ...breakfast buffet..restaurant available for lunch & dinner.
Nice hotel, very clean with nice restaurant. Location was not good for walking as appeared unsafe and there was nothing around to walk to anyway. Short taxi to the seaport with many restaurants and nice walking area. Fairly close taxi ride to take the ferries to Capri an Sorrento. We also went to Pompeii from the hotel. Ilaria M. at the front desk was very helpful to me in finding us a tour guide for visit to Pompeii and other places.
The hotel itself is excellent but the surrounding area especially the metro looks a bit daunting. Especially if you are there on a weekend when all the bars, shops and offices are closed. Many of the walls are daubed with graffiti which meant you needed to keep an eye on who was around. Having said that apart from a couple of people asking for change there were no problems. The metro is a three minute walk (don't be put off by the look) and is a good link into the city centre but the trains were probably every half hour. The room on the 18 floor had a great view, could see versuvius and the sea. Food and the bar area were comfortable and the staff were great. Can recommend a trip to sorrento and Herculaneum. Like the title says great hotel dodgy location.
I'm so cross about this hotel. I booked a suite for four / 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 16). I booked the bed breakfast and evening meal option. Over €200 per night. The room was good, although the bottled water was not topped up in day two. However it took ages to check in - not sure why as the girl who served me was talking to her colleague in Italian the whole time / really rude I thought. I'm an IHG regards club member but feel I did not get the treatment I would expect from this company. Once we finally got checked in I was phoned by reception to say that my children would not get an evening meal and I had to pay €25 each for their meal as they were over 12. I said this was ridiculous as I have put their ages (13 and 16) on the booking which was BB and EM. Eventually I got phoned back saying ok but the children could only eat from the kids menu. My husband and I were given a different menu to others in the restaurant to pick two courses from. I'm not happy as when I stayed at hilton the BBEM option does not have a 'separate' menu to choose from, you just have the same menu as others. Having a different menu made me feel cheap when in fact I had booked a very high standard room and rate. On the second night we were told we could all have a buffet dinner and the children would not need to eat from the child's menu. The cost was €19.95 but this was ok as we had an allowance for this in our room rate. My husband did not want the buffet as it was very poorly stocked and he had the clam linguine which was available the night before. He chose a steak which was €19. Upon leaving the restaurant on night two the waitress met us with a bill for €43, including coke, wine and €19 for a steak. I tried to explain that we should not have to pay for the steak because had my husband had the buffet that would have been €19.95 and the steak was only €19, less than the buffet. But we were told we would have to pay it. Nightmare, never to be repeated. Holiday inn Naples - wouldn't book again. In fact it's made me think about booking with the chain again. I feel I have been treated like a second class citizen instead of a loyal member of holiday inn.
Very convenient for a stay before a following-morning flight. We are a family of four, arrived at the hotel in the evening with rental car. Parking was very convenient, connected to the hotel lobby. Reception was very welcoming and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the best we had in Italy! The neighborhood is not the best, I wouldn't stray from the hotel. We ate dinner at a bar/restaurant that was connected to the hotel's. The airport is very close by.
