stayed in Napa for two days relaxing and great access to wine tasting, fine dining and rest

Our room was clean and spacious. The lady at the front desk was super helpful setting us up with points of interest and directing us around town. They had a large and good quality spread for the complementary breakfast.

Great little place. Very friendly staff. Nice and clean.

Wonderful staff...small number of rooms so it is very comfortable - not a mess of people running around

The Elm House is a family run B&B in the guise of a hotel. Breakfast selections and cooked to order items were absolutely the best. You can stay a at several 5 star resorts, B&Bs & Spas in Napa but why spend the money? Save it for he WINE! Conveniently located to downtown and highway 29, you can be anywhere quickly. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the 'location' is because the hotel is on the corner of a fairly busy surface street. It quiets down at night but if you're bothered by this, request a room in the back, off the main road. We're a bunch of old hippies and one afternoon while sitting around the fireplace talking about music, all of a sudden, songs from EVERY ARTIST WE MENTIONED started playing in the playlist. I swear Tom was listening in and queued up the iTunes! Seriously folks, you won't be disappointed!!

A lovely Innn, near the freeway but perfectly quiet. They serve a delicious breakfast; I'll want coconut flakes in my oatmeal from now on. I'll stay there again because of online rates.

Charming and cozy boutique hotel located right off the highway. Delicious and varied complimentary buffet breakfast offered. Staff are friendly and engaging. Wonderful lobby with fireplace. A great value.

We had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Elm House. I was so impressed with the staff who were extremely friendly and hospitable. Plus, the breakfast was amazing - try the sweet potato waffles!

The Elm House Inn was one of the best hotels I've ever stay. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the breakfast was excellent.

This place was pretty much a motel. The hot tube was dirty, as was the jacuzzi tube. The girl who checked us in had a major attitude problem.

We had a good time at the Elm House Inn. Everything was better than expected.

Newer hotel trying to be more of a guest house. Still felt like a Best Western though. Clean newer rooms. Pillows that left something to be desired and King sized bed was really only a queen. Front desk service was excellent. Noted that we were checking out at 6:00 am and desk mgr. offered to fix us a brown bag breakfast and leave it in our fridge for us since we would be leaving before they serve their continental bkfst. Was blown away by that gesture. Left us fruit/bagel/yougert. BTW also left 2 of the best cookies I have ever had. Actually ate them without telling my wife they were there. Overall very nice time.

The Elm House is a lovely hotel with a bed and breakfast feel. The lobby is cozy, quaint, stocked with a book exchange, games for the kids, comfy couches, chairs and a beautiful fireplace. They serve a very nice breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea with dessert. The staff is friendly, helpful, fun. I love the Elm House for its simple elegance and warm atmosphere. Oh, the room itself is also lovely with comfy beds, lots of space... I highly recommend the Elm House!!! It is also within walking distance to downtown.

This hotel was nice. Breakfast was good and the personnel was very friendly. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated and I would not recommend for a younger couple (ie someone under 55 years old). We had the suite and the appeal was the fact that there was a jacuzzi tub included. We were surprised to see a sign in the shower that stated "Do not use jacuzzi tub before 8am or after 10pm." As most people who visit the Napa Valley know, you rarely spend time in your room from 8am to 10pm (unless, of course you are a senior and eat dinner at 5pm). We paid the premium for the tub but didn't use it once. This hotel is a bit pricey for what you get so I wouldn't say that it is a good value. I would much prefer to stay in a cheaper hotel as time in the room was not worth the premium.

This was the nicest hotel that we have stayed at in a long while. It has the feel of a bed and breakfast. Everyone that you come in contact with at the hotel is friendly, helpful and competent. All the little touches that have gone into this place make it that much better. The room we stayed in was very clean with a fireplace, very comfortable bed, and sweet touches everywhere. The fresh homemade cookies served int he evening are fantastic as is the breakfast int he morning. The only complaint we might have is that our room faced a busy street and the traffic noise was a little noticeably.

Very friendly staff. Wonderful amenities like tasting room coupons, cookies and milk, and daily breakfast.

My husband and I went to wine country for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We didn't want to spend a lot on a hotel because we wouldn't be there much and we wanted the money to go towards activities and wine. I was very impressed with this hotel. It was nothing like any Best Western I've been to (although I've always had good experiences with them). This was more like a bed & breakfast. The staff greeted us by name, offered us hot cookies and drinks, offered to book any reservations we needed, etc. In the morning we went to breakfast, and someone greeted us to ask if we would like anything freshly made from the kitchen such as a waffle or toasted bagel. The other items on the buffet included slow-cooked oatmeal with plenty of toppings, cold cereal, fresh fruit, hot pumpkin muffins (yum!), yogurt, eggs, juice, milk, tea, and coffee. Everything was good. The hotel has a box of discount coupons for free wine tastings and such, and you are welcome to help yourself to as many coupons as you would like. Just ask the front desk. My only very minor complaint is that our room was on the front of the hotel just feet away from a busy street, and we heard cars rushing by all night. We were so tired from the time zone change most nights that it didn't bother us, but if you can, try to remember to request a room away from the street. Only a couple of rooms face the road so it shouldn't be too hard to convince them to give you a room that is more secluded.

You may be able to find fancier hotels in Napa but you won't find one with better customer service. The Inn keepers could not have been friendlier and were spot on with their recommendations, everything from restaurants to which vineyards to visit. The fresh, hot breakfast in the morning is a real treat and the hot out-of-the-oven cookies are the best I've ever had! This place goes out of its way to make you feel at home and comfortable during your stay. A quaint, wonderful gem.

Excellent staff, clean and comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast!

My husband and I took the trip up to Napa for a long weekend getaway. This was our 1st time visiting the area and let's say we were already booking our next trip up by the time we were leaving! I loved this hotel - great price, fabulous breakfast, and perfect location for walking and exploring Napa.
