We stayed last year in the hotel and it was great. 5 stars. This year we were in their cottages out of the hotel. Bed was hard, mold all over wood windows with dampness on windows, bathroom shower door had mold on lip and overall furniture looked like it came from a garage sale. Breakfast was kind of ok. I never did get my croissant. I let desk know our frustration over the state of the room and got the response, “I’ll tell the housekeeper.” I won’t stay there again.
Liked the cows in the field. Breakfast is passable; dinner was better.
The building was very old and beautiful, our window was broken, letting the rain in. The radiator did not work. The temp over night was in the 40's.
Grounds were lovely. Staff helpful. Needs updating and more staffing.
