Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa

Close to this beach and good Thai eats

Staff was friendly, but not up to what I experienced in the two other resorts I visited in my week in Thailand.

L'esprit de Naiyang Beach Resort

Nice hotel, BUT

The hotel was nice, and rooms were clean, BUT the junior villa's bathroom was attached and enclosed, but was outside, so no air conditioning and very little air circulation. This was not indicated in the room description. Othewise, the staff was very friendly, nice outside dining area and good food. It is a little walk to the restaurants and bars, but a cheap ride back to the hotel if you don't want to walk both ways in the heat.

The Slate

Excellent Hotel close to the airport

I was worried there might be airport noise since the ride is only a 200bhat 5 mins from the airport, but that wasn't a problem here. We had a great two day weekend here and transportation couldn't have been easier. The dive center was good and some of the diving from a boat about 15 min from the beach in front of the hotel was very good. Run by a great German couple who are very efficient and organized with nice equipment for rent. Rooms are awesome and the pool was great with a good happy hour our last day. Food at Black Ginger is a wonderful experience and in general the food was as good as any hotel I have been to and I travel a lot! Only nitpick is the grounds are beautiful but large and winding and it can be easy to get lost on them with poor signage to some of the houses.

Phuket Airport Hotel

It was ok

This hotel s close to airport, which is what we wanted. The person who came to pick us up didn't help with our luggage. Pillows were uncomfortable. But it was clean enough
