The photos posted of this "hotel" are very deceiving--you'd never know that as a guest you have to enter your room from the outside of the building (not an enclosed hotel). As a woman traveling alone I immediately was wary of that alone and when unpacking my bags from my car I was approached by a strange man who asked me if I was going to the pool. From that point on I proceeded to feel even more uncomfortable as I was attending a rehearsal dinner that night and knew my arrival back at the Red Roof would be much later at night. I went into the lobby to request a booking cancellation and the staff who assisted me was VERY rude--she stated that there was 24 hour surveillance and men are on the premises all the time. Not very comforting to someone who expressed she felt endangered...Since I did cancel my booking and stayed at an Inn in Mystic, the same associate who "helped" me went to the room (I assume to deactivate my key) and rolled her eyes/shook her head side to side the whole time. Not friendly staff. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this to anyone traveling alone. I would not have booked this hotel in the first place had it been clear all rooms were entered on the exterior of the building.

Drove all night and arrive at five in the morning. I reservation wasn't until later that day. Checked in and asked if there was anyway we could get a room as we were tired and I would pay for it if I had to. The distaff said they didn't know if I would need to pay for it but they would check with the manager and let me know. But they provided me the room. When I went down to check after we had slept they said that they were only going to charge me a minimal fee for the extra time we had the room. Excellent service

The daily rate of this hotel should cost no more than $99 a night. I wish it had a refrigerator.

The staff was great. But there were other guests that were loud at night outside the rooms. The staff tried to take care of it when we called. If they had cameras on the outside of the the buildings they could have seen what had been going on.

This was a birthday gift from my mother not happy

The rooms are simple but comfortable. The location is very convenient to the highway, but is also quiet. No refrigerator in the room, but the bed is comfortable, and the wifi connection is good.

This hotel has renovated rooms but when you pull up it looks pretty old. First room we got had an intense smoke stench. The staff moved us to another room, they were very helpful. This is a hotel I wouldn't want to stay at for more than a night.

In town for the Sun BBQ Fest at Mohegan Sun (we were to attend the following day) we chose this hotel because it was close and easy on and off the highway (but no highway noise!). Upon check in, the clerk was friendly and helpful, advising on places to eat as well as places that would deliver food (plenty of both from which to choose). The room was small and only had one chair. The AC unit took a few hours too cool the room. The wood furnishings and wall, window and door trim were a little tired, but as far as we could tell, were clean. The sink, shower and toilet all worked fine and the bed was SUPER fantastically comfortable. I had to ask for more towels and there were only 3 pillows on the king bed, but really - all in all it was a fine experience, met my expectations and I would return to this hotel if I was in the area again and needed a room.

Everything was fresh and inviting. One of th we must relaxing nights we've had in along time.

Memorial day weekend. Mohegan Sun. Close to ferry is a plus. TV did not work well. Felt the springs in the bed. Tiny bathroom. I had a superior King room. Can't imagine getting something less. Noise from the outside was awful. Asked and could not get early check in. Hard to say anything good. Would not stay again..

Big room great lection great value I would stay at here again if I'm by here in the future

clean and safe, close to mohegan sun so we could get there in a short time and enyoy the entertainment -- my daughter and I had so much fun and she really liked the hotel

The hotel is a great option for people looking for a clean budget hotel.

This hotel is only 15 minutes from Mohegan Sun. The area seems a bit sketchy. The value for what you get is worth it in my opinion. You get a comfortable bed, flat panel tv, fridge, microwave, ironing board, free wi-fi. The girl at the counter was friendly. The floor was dirty and could have used a better mopping.

very close to casinos and the ferry. rooms were clean and reasonable price. front desk help was very nice. always willing to help with any problems you may have.

Good room for the money. Clean and decent for an overnight to casino. Will most likely use again.

Great value. Hotel was 15 minutes away from all the places I wanted to visit: Ocean beach , Mohegan Sun and Mystic. The hotel did not have any amenities but rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was the first time in a Red Roof Motel for my husband and me and we were pleasantly surprised. Both room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy and there was a small working desk with some sockets so we could easily charge several of our electronic devices (I already spend lots of times searching for sockets in Motel rooms...). I didn't expect such a clean room for such a price, I will defenitely consider Red Roof again when I need a stopover accomodation. The only disadvantages were that there was only one ice machine (located nearby the front desk) and we couldn't get a useful area map. Well, that's all things I can deal with.

You get what you pay for. The hotel was clean, slightly run down and outdated, but nothing concerning. The bed was very comfortable. Bring your own soap, the one they give you smells like play dough.

Very dated hotel with poor mattresses, old bedding and a tough area. One positive was the excellent water pressure in the shower.
