Meridian Plaza has a lot of potential but it needs updating. Even simple things like a shower rod because our room’s was rusted. Due to the humidity, it would be advantageous for them to invest in a dehumidifier because the rooms can be quite smelly. These are privately owned suites, so don’t expect much room service, which I understand. However, the original blanket we had was not clean and very odorous. I requested another blanket and was traded one odorous blanket for a funkier blanket (sigh). The grounds are kept quite clean. The staff was very pleasant and nice.

It was a good room, very close to the beach and other attractions in Myrtle Beach. The only downside was the equipment in the kitchen left a bit to be desired. The cookware and utensils were minimal and the dishwasher didn’t fully clean the dishes on the first run. Nothing huge but definitely something to consider. Besides who wants to wash dishes on vacation?!?!

Great experience. However, I wish I would have received my deposit back.

We enjoyed our stay very much I was able to cook a gourmet meal for my Chocolate.

The staff was extremely rude! I called a week before arrival to verify security deposit and to make sure there would be no surprise charges when I got here on Sunday and the guy told me I had to pay taxes when I got there. I said no, I have already paid taxes. He looked and said yes I do see that so I will notate that in the system and we will waive the charges when you get here. I checked in, the same guy was working and he called me a liar and said he did not say that and said we have 2 options, to pay it or cancel our stay! He went in his office and slammed the door! I ask for the number to corporate and he gave me a wrong number! i requested his manager, He called her and she said she would be there within the hour, so I had no choice but to pay this ridiculous tax that I had already paid. While we were in the office arguing with these people, there were so many people that had came to the office having problems with their room! We then go to our room and wait for the manager to get there at 5, when we speak with her, she wasn't very nice either but did agree to refund the taxes. Monday night, we didn't have cable or water! Tuesday, the pool is out of service UNTIL THE NEXT DAY AND THE AIR WAS OUT! We went to the front desk and the manager told us if we didn't like it we could pack our stuff and leave! And she would refund us for only 1 night! Went out, found another hotel, then back to the office to tell the manager we would be cancelling and leaving. WORST EXPERIENCE!!

Hotel was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room needed a few things repaired. They need a vacuum in the suite, and never seen house keeping the whole time we were tbere,which I found odd. Would stay again, it is a no frills hotel.

Perfect for the price. Excellent view from balcony. Room was clean, a little run down but overall good. Staff was neither friendly or rude. Would have been nice if they had informed guest about coffee in lobby, employees should not hose down walk way above the ice machine, and housekeeper realize if door is locked, do not pound on door. Would return in the furture.

Hotel location was awesome right on beach with amazing view. Room was clean but outdated (fresh paint new sofa). Hotel staff didn't tidy up 2 of my 4 days there. Would stay again due to location, would not if it were in a different spot.

The economy room was very depressing and we had to upgrade to the seaside which was average. Rooms are very out dated. Mattress on the beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Slept on the coach. Advertised that breakfast was provided, but when we got there, discovered they do not provide that. Only saving grace was that the weather was good and we enjoyed the beach.

When we arrived the hotel had no reservation for us, and told us that they could not help. I called orbitz and was told that they was sorry for the problem. I ask for them to help us find a room they said the only thing that they had was almost twice the price and could not let us have the same price. We have 11 and 13 year old boys that had to wait for four more hours till we found a hotel, which was by ourselves. We came from Ky about 8 hours which we thought we that we would be going straight into the room but we were wrong.

Our first night we stayed in a dumpy room. the next night they moved us to a better room which made the rest of our stay great!

Mostly clean (except coffe pot) and quiet. Great location on the beach and restaurants within walking distance. Broadway at the Beach shopping center only a couple miles away. Good covered parking directly across the street. No breakfast available and very little coffee available even at the front desk in morning. However, coffe pot, dishes, drinking glasses, etc are available in the room if you bring the food and drinks. We did not know.

I booked this hotel a month in advance and asked for a king bed with an ocean view. I was told at check-in that they didn't have that room available and that we would be staying in an oceanfront room with two double beds. Not what my husband and I had in mind but didn't complain. When we got to the room, the door was hard to close and slammed upon closing. The carpet was very old and dirty as was the comforters on the beds and the sofa and chairs in the sitting area. The burners on the stove were covered with foil and very dirty and someone had left the dishwasher running with nothing in it. The sliding glass door had no lock on it and the frame at the bottom of the door was deformed and jutting outward to the point that if you weren't careful you would injure yourself going out. Our next door neighbor had children who kept knocking on the adjoining door to our room and turning the knob trying to gain entry. It was very annoying. The room was as clean as it could be with the old furnishing and bedding. The bathroom was pretty clean as were the towels. We brought our own paper plates, spoons, napkins, etc. so we didn't have to use any of the dishes provided in the room. It was not the most comfortable place to stay.

The room was in disrepair. Cabinet doors were falling off, the closet shelves were hanging, there was no iron or hair dryer, and the room was dirty.
