We pre-arranged a transfer from the port with the hotel (€15 per person), but we didn’t see anyone holding our name waiting for us there. We waited for 10 minutes in open air cold weather and end up have to go with the normal taxi to the hotel. When we arrived the hotel for check in, the first interrogation question we get from the front desk was “where have you been? Our driver waited for you since one hour ago!“ We explained to the front desk the situation and couldn’t go around and “search” for our driver as it is cold out there and we don’t have our jacket with us and hence we took a normal taxi. The front desk lady still keep repeating the driver was there early than our arrival time to wait for us there, but she definitely don’t feel sorry that we have waited there in a cold environment without our jacket. The manager finally came out after hearing the conversation getting tense and step in to ease the situation. It’s not a pleasant welcome but we forgive that as we don’t want to let it spoil our vacation. We had the hot tub room which is nice for dip after long walk in town but shower area is an ID failure. Water splash & wet the middle walkway. Also, the beach bed €20/day is applicable to hotel guest as well. Tips: 2 mini marts within short walk to the right at beach, walk further to Petinos Hotel & up the slope for direct bus to town at only €1.80 (€2.30 night ride) which is only 10mins ride vs taxi €15.
Beware, this hotel accepted our money 8 months in advance, 5 days out they cancelled our reservation, apparently a staff member over booked. Yes that could never happen to a respectable hotel. NEVER EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL
Once you understand you have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas you can settle in to the crystal clear water. Still pebbles and sand together.watch the superyatchs anchored in the bay. Great restaurants and friendly people
We stayed here for 3 nights late August. The hotel staff were so helpful and attentive, went above and beyond so couldn't fault them. Great breakfast spread and the bar tender at pool bar makes great cocktails, but expensive compared to our stay in Croatia but they are strong!! Hotel is nice we stayed in the 'older' 4 star area which is dated but pleasant, it is located next to the pool with great views of the beach. However the pool area is not well designed and a little dirty (they are renovating so should be fine next season) The area is very loud with beach bars which are playing loud bass music from 8am till 1am daily, Id probably stay a few street back to avoid it next time but that's a personal thing. The suits looked beautiful and much more quiet but twice the price. Enjoyed our stay.
I spent one night at Mykonos palace, that surprisingly has another name: the dove. The experience was not worth the proce: We were given a room at ground floor where the only window is the entrance door. So either you keep the window open or everybody will look inside the room. As a logical consequence the room smelled with humidity. The hotel is nice, the breakfast good and the staff helpful, even if you have the general feeling of low professionality. The pick up at the airport was 15 minutes late and was charged 30€, when most hotels in Greece, even of low category give it for free. At the end we spent over 400€/night+ extras...too much for too little even in Mykonos in August!
We had a nice day in the Beach-Structure. Let's firtly say that the place it's all apart of cheap and everything is quite expensive. 40 EURO for 2 Sunbeds and 1 Umbrella believe it's too much. Anyhow. The Service and the Food was good of course and we appreciated it. What we did not like was the fact that the beach manager was running up and down with an angry and bored face. Believe it or not but I hate also to see Boss treating bad the waiter/waitress.
We enjoyed one of the new suites, with its own private pool. The room had modern decoration and all the facilities. The view, from the room, was amazing. Exactly outside the hotel exit, there is one of the most beautifull beaches in Mykonos and the sunbeds of the hotel gives you the right to enjoy the sea. The stuff in the beach, was fantastic. You have to try smoothies and cocktails.Sea water was very clean and fresh. Also, you can enjoy watersports in the certified store next to the hotel. The food, in the sea view outdoor restaurant, was perfect. 2 minutes by feet, there are boats to transfer you to other beaches. Also, there beaches close to the hotel, you can visit by feet. Finally, we have to mention the fantastic service everywhere in hotel. We hope to see you again.
We tried this modern restaurant one evening without knowing what to expect. It was one of the busiest on the Platis Gialo beach. We had a great table and the service was very nice. They even took my son to check his pizza being cooked in the wood pizza oven. Great and relaxing evening without he feeling that we were in a beach party ambiance. Have fun!
This being my first trip to Mykonos at the second for my friend, we wanted a great location, service, and atmosphere. Mykonos Palace did not disappoint. It's laid out well and the rooms are a generous size. Can walk straight out to the beach, with several restaurant options along the way and thankfully a mini convenience store full of sunscreen, snacks, and beach essentials. It's an easy bus ride to get to town or a walk along the water to venture to other beaches. The only request would be to extend the breakfast hours for late risers, but that is by no means a disqualifier. Also, can't forget to mention the fantastic service - both the front desk and beach service teams were terrific. I will certainly be back!
This was our first stop for our European holiday and the location was perfect. We stayed in one of the brand new rooms with our private pool . When we saw the room we were blown away it was amazing and the view over looking the beach was amazing . As we were the first in the room there were a few teething issues but I am sure these issues will be fixed as the management were straight into this issues when we notified them of them. Because of this I so believe this location and the staff deserve a 5 star rating. The food at the restaurant is perfect as are the cocktails. So close to so many restaurants and having our beach chairs each day was very cool. Thank you we hope to see you again one day.
