I think the vast majority of people staying at this hotel must have blinkers on. Whilst I agree the hotel is located in a beautiful bay the hotel is not a 5Star. The hotel staff are indifferent and the atmosphere is tried-hard Ibiza. I stayed at this hotel in September 2017, having booked a garden view room I was expecting a garden/grounds in front of our room, instead we were put in a very small room with view of white concrete walls, there was a very large plant/tree on the terrace, so I suppose that is their idea of a garden. The toilet was so small you had slide in between the wall & the toilet to close the door. I complained to Reception and they did agree to move us the next day. The move to another room was done with care attention by the hotel porter who was very helpful. Please note if you book a garden room don't expect anything the hotels interpretation of a garden is patio with a few pots scattered, the view from the terrace was the door to the other rooms, so if you wanted privacy you had to pull the linen curtains. The room we were moved to was much better than the first but whilst I like funky décor it's a bit design over practicality. The beach & sunbeds - we were expecting the sunbeds to be included in the price of our accommodation, but when went to the beach in front of the beach bar we were asked to pay 4euros each for a sunbed and when we said we were guests at the hotel we were told very abruptly that the free beds were at the other end of the beach, next to the other hotel bar. It seems the beds & couches in front of the beach bar are for the posers that come on Saturday especially and not for the hotel guests. Breakfast is great if you like eggs everyday, the buffet selection is okay but not a good selection of fresh fruit. The breakfast staff never once asked if we would like more coffee or tea & if you asked it felt like it was an inconvenience. On a more positive note the sushi was excellent but very expensive as were the cocktails/beers. Overall I would not recommend this hotel, I have stayed in far superior 5star hotels, especially in Ibiza & many Greek islands and sadly this one is lacking.
Perfect in everything,we really enjoyed our staying there for a week, staff, management, location, food specially breakfast, cleanliness everything was perfect, absolutely beautiful ,they are really organised ,all the staff were so helpful and caring and polite, speak perfectly English, Meri organised everything for us,I recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone and we definitely go back
Located right on the beach with private beds, this is the main selling point! There are plenty of beds available and a fantastic vibe on the beach. The staff, particularly Meri, were very friendly and helpful. We had the couples Spa, which we both loved. We both said the massages were up there with the best we have had. The breakfast also has plenty to choose from. However, there were a couple of frustrations with this hotel that i think are important to mention. 1. The room has no mirror outside of the bathroom which is far from ideal! 2. The toilet is attached to the shower, ie the toilet seat and surrounding areas get absolutely soaked if you or your partner have a shower. A very poor design. 3. The minute we walked in i am given a price i need to pay. I would MUCH rather have done this without my new wife stood right there. I noticed some other guests distressed by this also. 4* would be a fair reflection, due to the staff and good facilities.
We stayed for 5 nights and were upgraded on arrival to a Sea-view Suite with an outdoor Jacuzzi on the balcony! The attention to detail my the staff was first class and we could not fault the service provided. We will certainly be returning!!
The Ammos Hotel is very well located at Ornos Beach. Ornos is at short (driving) distance from Little Venice where you can have a family type night life and a reasonable dostance from wild life Mikonos can provide. The sevice is impecable, starting with the employees always ready to provide you directions, tips and any kind of information you may need. Restaurants for every kind of appetite. A delicious breakfast everyday. The room is spaceous enough for 2 people , great Internet signal whereever you are. Reserved space at the beach if you want to relax - we used to explore the Island after breakfast and come back late afternoon for drinks and snacks at the beach, before the night incursions... An excellent option.
We were lucky to stay here for 4 nights and were sad to leave, we had a Seaview suite room which was so beautiful and spacious. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a very simple but stylish way. It had everything we needed and amazing balcony area. We ate at the small intimate bar/restaurant that was for guests only, food was fantastic and all the staff were lovely with a special mention to Meri who we met on check in. This hotel also does shuttle service from port or airport, for free by arrangement. Can't wait to go back next year or two.
I recently stayed here with my mother for 5 nights. This was actually my second time here- the first time with friends- and I highly recommend the Ammos for whomever you are traveling with, whether your friends, spouse, lover, children or parents, this place provides beauty and comfort for all, and no one will feel out of place. The hotel is gorgeous, the food excellent and the staff is EXCEPTIONAL. Happy is the traveller who gets to stay at the Mykonos Ammos!!
Wonderful trip and perfect stay, the food outstanding, service was top notch, very friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful pool and breakfast was the we've ever had in a hotel. Can't wait to come back!
We were lucky enough to stay in the Ammos suite at this beautiful hotel. Spacious, stylishly decorated, position, position, position and friendly and accommodating staff. Only a short cab ride into the heart of Mykonos city what a perfect way to enjoy the crystal clear beach water of Ornos by day and then chose to head in to enjoy the nightlife. The food at both Kuzina and the Ammos beach bar were excellent - great sushi! The wonderful breakfasts at Kuzina taking in the view of the beach and water were just beautiful. Highly, highly recommend this hotel. You pay a little extra for a whole lot more.
Stayed at the Ammos recently and was very impressed by the quality of the accommodation and the service from the staff. Superbly well designed and with a great location directly on Ornos beach. Getting into town was so easy with the local bus service stopping less than 100m away. Would highly recommend and we intend to return!
