What can i say?! The staff at archipelagos are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They gave me a room upgrade with an indoor jacuzzi as it was my birthday which was very lovely of them. The indoor jacuzzi was amazing as you can get to see the lovely view from the inside and relax in the jacuzzi at the same time. The hotel is very clean, the best hotel i have traveled to. Definitely 10/10 for cleanliness. And the views are breaking!! I think this hotel has one of the best views, as it is right near the sea. Beach was not far either. Town is like a 20mins drive which is the only downfall, however if you have a car, you’ll be fine. Also, everything is very pricey in Mykonos so take loads of extra money! But overall, my experience at mykonos was amazing and the hotel we stayed at was just fantastic. The hotel surroundings and the rooms just seem so magical. Cannot fault anything about archipelagos. Thank you to the staff for being very welcoming and nice! If i do come back to Mykonos, i will definitely come back and stay at archipelagos. X
The location is about 20 minutes form Mykonos town and is an easy (for Greece) drive. The area is quiet with beautiful views of the Aegean. Hara at reception was wonderful. She had suggestion for beaches, bars and restaurants. All her choices were excellent. Her personality is perfect for her position, friendly, fun, outgoing. The room was clean and nicely furnished with a large balcony and sea views. The included daily breakfast has a nice variety of food, fruit juices, breads, pastries. The staff in the dining room are very friendly.
The hotel is beautifully and stylishly decorated throughout. The garden area is also well maintained with lots of herbs used in the cuisine. There are fabulous views across Kalo Livadi bay. There is a car park and plenty of parking nearby. We went out of season (beginning of October) so the beach area had no activity/sunbeds and restaurants were closed. This was a shame but I don't think we'd have been able to afford the hotel during the summer season. It is a small luxury hotel and you can see why. It's a short walk to the beach from the hotel. There is also a little beach near the hotel which we didn't use but saw others swimming from there. However the pool and bar area had plenty of beds available. Kalafati beach is also nearby with one restaurant open in the evening. There was variety of food at breakfast to cater for most tastes. We had two meals in the evening which were both excellent. Unfortunately didn't get to try out any cocktails at the pool bar but it looks like a great place to sit in the early evening with a drink. We were upgraded to a sea view suite which was most welcome. We had a comfortable seating area inside but also a lovely space outside and also additional table and chairs. The room had usual TV (Smart), fridge, a Nespresso machine (additional charge for the pods), the beds were two singles together but were really comfy. There is air conditioning and extra covers if you get too cold. The bathroom could have done with an upgrade but the shower was of good pressure. We organised our own car hire before we arrived and it was pretty easy and useful to be able to visit lots of other beaches (we found Super Paradise to be reasonably warm and out of the northern winds the week we went) and to Mykonos/Chora town for food in the evenings (20min drive). There are some restaurants in Ano Mera square which is a short drive The staff were all friendly. We would love to go back when it's a little warmer and the beach area was still open.
Stayed for a week in a lovely room with sea view. Just be aware that if you request a sea view you will be on level 3 or 4 with a steep climb to the room. The room has a fridge, safe, hair dryer but no tea or coffee making facilities. We took a travel kettle. The staff are wonderful with a special mention to Leah (forgive me if spelling is wrong!) on reception & all the waiters & bar staff. The downside is the location. The bus service is a bit hit & miss & taxis are very expensive. The nearest mini market is a long hike up & downhill! We ended up hiring a car for 3 days so we could see the island. Found a wonderful beach taverna at Fokos. Well worth a visit.
I stayed at the hotel with my wife at the end of September for a week and it really is a great hotel, a resort I would say, from the moment you arrive. From the first greeting of the driver at the airport to the last goodbye of the reception staff and the owner, was exceptional and they really do offer genuine 5* customer service. We loved the spacious walking paths, the gardens full of herbs and beautiful flowers. The beach was stunning and the sea was pretty warm for that time of the year. We had a room with ocean view which was always clean, always well kept and in top condition. The food was excellent, exactly what you would expect from a 5* resort. Overall I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough and I would definitely return again soon. Thank you Archipelagos!
The property is in a lovely remote location of the island. Has very nice rooms - many with private outdoor spaces - and a delightful pool and restaurant. Staff is very attentive and mostly professional. We did, however, have a rather rude server, who thought we were "half-board" guests and refused to give us the full dinner menu. Lost in translation, perhaps. The real draw back to the property is the location - it's too remote! If you want to sightsee or visit Mykonos Town its difficult and expensive. Of course, you could rent a car but Mykonos Town, for example, has very limited parking. Also, there is a public bus that has a stop near the hotel, but it has a spotty schedule and takes a long time to get into Mykonos Town. Cabs are expensive - Euro 50 to Mykonos Town - and it's extremely difficult to find a cab in the city for the return trip to the hotel!
We were amazed and delighted to find world-class cuisine in this relatively quiet corner of Mykonos. Chef Dimitris and his small team are excellent; a very wide-ranging menu, with innovative and traditional dishes skilfully executed and beautifully presented. The service was excellent - the staff were very attentive and friendly, and knowledgeable. The wine list is small and Greek but high quality, and the waiter/sommelier can be trusted to guide you to a wine that suits your taste. Highly recommended and we will be back!
If the highest rating is 5 then I give this hotel a 6! Loved their dreamy & cozy overall ambiance, delectable & gorgeous breakfast spread, spacious & comfortable rooms, and the added bonus: The very gracious and hospitable Roland. You'll never miss him because he'll be the one to warmly welcome you either in the airport or the seaport. It wasn't an easy goodbye to Mykonos because of Archipelagos.
I love this hotel, stayed here last year and repeated this year for the same trip after having such an amazing experience. It is family owned and they are highly involved in everything. It is clean, super neat, very calm and has an amazing breakfast! The pool is gorgeous although I didn't get to try it this time, just take a break after breakfast. I would come back again and again every time I visit this amazing island.
Thank you to all the staff who made us so welcome during our stay at this classy and relaxing hotel Thanks to Roland - who is more than helpful with trips to Mykonos Town and if available other distinctions. The bar and restaurant team who are so, so attentive. The ladies at reception who give help with any request without fail. The cleaners who are amazing and do an exceptional job. There hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere which oozes class. Thank you so much See you again Cary and Karrie xx
