I stayed in this hotel with my wife a few weeks ago to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. It was actually supposed to be a surprise for my wife but it turned out to be a complete disaster! - First of all, the swimming pool was extremely small compared to the pictures this hotel advertises on this website. Are the pictures published on the hotel's site for real?? - The room was so small for a suite that I was actually embarrassed that this was the surprise I had planned for my wife. She was a good sport about it and was always trying to make me feel better but to be honest, after the ridiculously expensive price that they were charging for the room and the actual reality of how insanely small the size was for this suite, there was little she could do or say to make me feel better. - In terms of staff, every time we would complain about the air condition or the water that was constantly all over the floor from the bathroom, the reaction was always one of confusion or indifference. - As for the breakfast, although my wife and I do love eggs, I couldn't imagine being forced to eat eggs every single day of our holiday. The menu is so limited that the only thing this hotel can offer you is 3 different versions of eggs! Overall, other than fact that this hotel was close enough to the center (although very very dangerous to walk the path, especially in the night), I would never recommend this hotel. Absolutely not!
Absolut is a 5star hotel exactly 5 minutes walking from chora entrance. It's a new, very clean hotel with spacious rooms and great views. Absolut is one of the best choices out there if you you want to be close to the mykonos vibe but also be romantic. The personnel is very polite and kind with always a smile on their face and recommend you things to do and make your stay easier. Breakfast is very nice although there's not that much quantity and choices. I was sitting and heard a guy next to me ordering a second coffee and the waiter told him that they charge the second coffee which is unecceptable for a 5 star hotel and the price you pay. Another thing regarding location that although gives you the best of the best sunsets it can be tricky when walking to or a from chora since the road is really narrow and full of cars and buses passing which makes it dangerous . Regarding price. I think mykonos is overpriced in general and the demand is so big that the prices were extremely high for most things you do on this island.
5 minutes walk to mykonos town, the location is super accessible. The room is modern and well decorated. Public swimming pool is large enough for swimming and sunbathing. Staff is helpful to arrange pick up service from airport and to port.
I cannot tell you which was better the hotel or the staff. It is a newly remodeled hotel and is beautiful. The view is to die for and the staff is SO very helpful and kind. They make it feel like family there. I would go back any time! Also, the breakfast and drinks are delicious and you are walking distance into town. We loved this place!
We didn't actually stay at this hotel however we discovered it as we walked down the hill into Mykonos town. It is a beautiful setting to watch the sun go down and the cocktails made by Alex at the bar are without a doubt the best I tasted on the island. We visited all the fancy beach clubs which are great but the cocktails at this beautiful bar are just amazing. They made us feel very welcome even though we were not residents and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We visited several nights and will definitely return.
Absolut Suites Mykonos Arrived at JMK and friendly driver there to pick us up. Arrived at hotel and met by the Manager Paris and friendly reception staff. Taken to the pool and offered a complimentary welcome cocktail which was a nice touch. Shown to room, well appointed , comfortable, a Greek shower that does not flood the bathroom! Molton Brown amenities. Illy coffee machine , smart TV. Good A/C. Wifi in room is a little different as runs thru the TV. Breakfast was nice, simple but fresh.Friendly staff ,Hot items available to order. Pool area very nice, with fantastic views and a lovely sunset bar. Walk in to town an easy 5-10 minutes, not a proper sidewalk but not an issue. If you rent a car a big easy to negotiate car park . All in all a great refurbishment of the old Golden Star Hotel , a definite to consider if you are planning a visit to Mykonos. Hope to visit again next year M and M room 103
The staff ensure that you are happy at all times and do their best to assist wherever they can. Alex at the poolside bar puts together unique and inspired cocktails and takes a genuine interest. Rooms were clean and well presented. If it concerns you, the bathroom offers very little privacy for changing. Breakfast was excellent. Can highly recommend this establishment. Location is perfect.
We stayed here for 4 nights in mid-September - absolutely loved Mykonos. The location is perfect, just 7-8 minutes up the hill from the main town. You can also walk down to the beach in about 10-15 minutes. Being on the hill means you have a perfect view of the sunset from the infinity pool and bar. Hotel breakfast was good and overall hotel kept clean. Staff were relatively attentive, but often forgetful with orders and simple requests for menu/towels etc. Barman was good. The food menu for lunch/throughout the day was limited and pricey, but food was nice. Rooms were nice, but the one we were 'upgraded to' (301) was particularly small, albeit it with a nice sea view. Friends of ours stayed in a room one floor below with almost the same view, but a much bigger room for far less money, so beware! When I raised with the hotel management they tried to convince me we had a higher tier room as we were one floor higher, but it was not worth the extra money. Overall, we loved Mykonos, hotel location and views were great, but staff and service could improve.
This place is simply excellent! This hotel has a great location just a few minutes walk from Mykonos town! As an external guest, I have visited the pool bar area and spent a whole day there. The service was amazing, with friendly staff, and an all day menu to choose from snacks and lite bites! The most outstanding part of this whole experience was the tailored made cocktails by one of the best mixologists on the island! I was simply amazed by Alex and his vibrant energy! I strongly recommend to visit this place during the sunset hours and it is certainly not to be missed!
As a tourist that moves a lot around this beautiful island, I always try to find new places in Mykonos, this hotel is one of them, great location, just walking distance from chora, very nice pool, great view, perfect place for a nice, relaxing evening sipping a great cocktail made by the best mixologist on the island. Trust me, Alex will take good care of you while mixing your fav cocktails , transforming them into fine pieces of art and great taste, and I totally recommend this place. Will go back again soon.
